Travis p.o.v

"Katie run, I'm right behind you!" Katie nodded and started running out of the house. I tried my best to push myself up despite the giant piece of wood on top of me and my leg stuck in the debris. "Katie don't stop!" I was finally able to get my foot free when I heard a scream. "Katie!"

"Trav-"

"Katie!" I pushed the piece of wood off me and ran towards her screams.

Present...

"Boss!" I snapped out of it and looked at him. "We have guests, Henry's back."

I smirked, "I was wondering when he'd show up." I stood up and grabbed a glass filled with red wine. "What are you waiting for let them in."

"Yes sir." I put down the glass after taking a sip and stared at the desk in front of me where a partially burnt family portrait stood. Katie!!! I shook my head and sighed as drunk what was left in the glass and left the room.

"Well if it isn't little Henry and his big brother." I nodded at my boys to leave the room and gestured from them to sit. Derek hesitated before sitting on the chair. I lit a cigarette, "So what brings you here?"

"Do you not see what's going on outside?" Derek asked.

"Derek!" Henry looked at me, "Look the government is bombing the city, now as I recall you have a bomb shelter. And well I was thinking since you owe me..."

I laughed loudly, "Owe you?" I laughed again, "Yeah I owe you alright, owe you a couple of bullets to your head."

"See I knew he was going to pull this shit."

"Travis I almost died trying to get your ass out the city all I'm asking is that you return the favor."

"Oh someone's getting brave." I put out my cigarette. "Here you know what I'll do for you, why don't I throw you pussy willows out and if you survive then maybe I'll think about settling my half."

"Your a dick Travis don't you see what the hell is happening, on our way here we saw hundreds of corrupted coming this way that means all the cities have fell which also means there's nowhere else to go. We need to stick together before all of humanity is wiped out!"

I thought it over but suddenly there was a large explosion that shook the whole factory. "What the hell!"

One of my men rushed in, "Sir we need to go underground now!"

I looked at Henry and Derek, "Fine let's go, but you owe me a hell of a lot."

"For..." Henry stopped Derek before he could say another word.

"Follow me." We all rushed downstairs to the bomb shelter. Suddenly there was another explosion which almost caused me to fall down the stairs. "Shit!"

"You okay there?"

"Fine, keep moving." We all jumped into the shelter, packing in the food and supplies with us before closing the door. We heard the bombs fall, and we sat in silence waiting for it to be over. I fell asleep along the way...

3 years ago...

"Daddy! Daddy!" I opened my eyes and suddenly seen Katie rush in, "Uncle Travis there taking daddy away!"

I jumped up, "Tyler? Tyler!" I rushed down the stairs as I seen people with torches haul my brother through the streets. "Hey what the hell are you doing?!" I ran to grab the guy holding my brother and was hit in the face.

"All scientists do not belong in our society were only doing what's best for the majority."

"And this is what's best!?" I exclaimed.

"They've been exposed too long, this is for our own safety."

"Daddy!" I grabbed Katie and picked her up.

"Your daddy's gonna be just fine."  I looked to the sky and seen a chopper hovering over us, "Is this what you want!?" I yelled, "You just gonna let them do this shit!" I ran after Tyler, "Tyler!" The crowd pushed me out of the way, I tried to look for him through the crowd. "Tyler!"

"Daddy!" They were marching out of the city.

"No...shit...Tyler!"

"Take care of Katie!" I heard his voice through the people's chants.

"Tyler! I'm coming for you brother!"

"No! She needs you, I'll be fine!"

"Tyler no!" The city gate closed as soon as I was in front of it.

The chopper sounded, "No individuals may leave the city at this time, the gate is on lockdown. Go back to your home's and commence protocol procedure!"

"What you can't leave the out there!" The people exclaimed. The chopper just kept repeating the message.

I pushed up Katie in my hands, "Everything is going to be okay, your daddy is strong. Now we're going to find a way out of here and were going to to get him out, sound like a plan?"

She nodded, "I love you uncle Travis..."

Present...

I jumped out of my sleep and looked around to see everyone still asleep, I stood up and opened the bomb shelter door and the door fell off. We were outside...and everything was in ruins...

Henry and Derek got up and looked behind me, "Holy shit..."

"There goes the neighborhood..."
