[Astraphobia: The fear of storms]

Blue stares out the window silently. Her finger trails along, following a raindrop. It's been raining for at least an hour, she thinks. She stares at the heavy grey clouds with a sigh. They're just so gloomy, she notes with another sigh.

A crash of thunder makes her jump. She squeaks and darts towards the bed, where Yellow is curled up and asleep. Blue curls up next to her, shaking. Yellow stirs as she slowly wakes up. Her eyes widen at the sight of the trembling blue gem. "Blue?" She whispers cautiously.

Blue looks up at her with tearful blue eyes. Yellow holds onto her as she drifts off to sleep again. Blue can't sleep, so she runs her fingers through Yellow's hair. "Soft. Way softer than one might think." She says.

Yellow smiles in her sleep. "You're...soft too..." She says in a tired yet flirty manner. Blue chuckles before hiding in her shoulder as a flash of lightning strikes. She trembles as Yellow slowly pulls her even closer to her.

Yellow stares at the blue gem for a while, a small smile crossing her face. She hums lightly; the storm outside doesn't really scare her. She hugs Blue gently, humming quietly.

"Yellow?" Blue asks quietly.
"Yes Blue?" Yellow replies gently.

"Stay with me?" She asks shyly.

Yellow's heart melts at those words. "Forever and always." She replies.

Now Blue's heart is the one melting at the words spoken.

Blue smiles gently as she kisses Yellow's forehead. She isn't sure why she did that. It seemed proper at the time.

Yellow's eyes flutter open. She hugs Blue suddenly, pushing them off the bed. "I LOVE YOU!" She cries out happily.

"I love you too, Yellow." Blue replies with a smile. Yellow begins covering her in kisses, tickling her gently. Blue hasn't laughed in such a long time.

Blue chuckles, rolling a bit. "That tickles!" She gasps out between laughs. Yellow grins, happy to see Blue so happy.

"I love you so much!" Blue exclaims happily, tears of laughter in her eyes.

"Not as much as I do." Yellow replies warmly.

There's no need to be afraid because I'll always be by your side.
