Steven takes our favorite lawyer gems (actually our only but don't worry about that) to the store. "This is not what Rose Quartz saved the Earth for," Yellow Zircon mutters as she notes all the dumb people. Blue Zircon squeezes her hand with a chuckle as they follow Steven along.

They pass by a jewelry display. Out of curiosity, they press closer. Steven stops and turns, realizing they are no longer behind him. But he's lost in the isles. Help him please.

"Oh, these are so pretty!" Yellow squeals, awed by the lighting within the cases that makes the gems shine. The person running this corner notes the two and walks over. "May I help you ladies with anything?" He asks kindly.

"Oh, sure. What...stone is that?" Yellow asks innocently, pointing to a particularly shiny gem. "That's a diamond, ma'am." Both zircons freeze. "Is it her?" Blue whispers to Yellow, who gives a shaky shrug in response.

"How about...that one?" Blue asks. "That's a sapphire." Blue tilts her head a bit. "Hey what's this?" Yellow points to the birthstone chart.

"Oh that's the gem for each month, a birthstone. January is garnet, February is amethyst, March is aquamarine (both shudder), April is diamond (another shudder), May is emerald, June is pearl (quiet snicker), July is ruby, August is peridot, September is sapphire, October is opal, November is topaz (Blue shudders lightly), and December's is turquoise."

"But if that's the case, why does this one have a darker blue gemstone?" Yellow questions. "Oh, the gemstones for some months are disputed. Mainly November and December's. That one is the alternative stone for December, Blue Zircon."

"IMPOSTER!" Yellow screams and breaks the display case. "THERE'S ONLY ONE BLUE ZIRCON AND SHE'S MINE!" She adds, "We gotta save these guys! Come on Blue!" "Hey! Security!" The guy yells as cops and other employees run over. Customers mindlessly shopping stop to stare, some recording. There is a lot of screaming and yelling.

Steven follows the obnoxious noise and is quite shocked at what he runs into. The two zircons are carrying as many gemstones as they can, leaping over shit and kicking guards down. They somehow escape the disaster that is the Wal-mart or whatever the fuck the store was called.

"You can come out now, you're safe." Yellow encourages the gemstones, spreading them out carefully on the floor of their shared room. Blue nods softly, organizing the room in case any of them start being bitchy about it.

Nothing happens for a long time.

"Damn it, I didn't risk my life in a stupid human built structure full of pointless shit for this! We saved ya, so come on out!"

"You can't rush them Yellow. Give them time."

"STEVEN WHY ARE THERE COPS AT OUR HOUSE?" Pearl yells fearfully. Amethyst is in awe, staring out the window. "Man this is cool, look at that guy's badge! Must be really important!" Garnet is at the table, hands in her hair. "I saw this as a possibility. I should have said something." Peridot is screaming, holding onto a nonchalant Lapis.

"We were at the store and I lost the two zircons and when I found them they were running away with some gemstones and they kept saying they were saving them!" Steven sobs out, holding onto Pearl like a lifeline.

They hear a loud screech from the barn and then the sound of glass breaking. Upon arriving, both zircons look distraught, holding each other and crying.

"I'm so sorry." They whisper to the gemstones scattered about.

Of course, the gemstones do nothing but sit there.

It was all a fucking lie, the humans made most of these shits.
