[sequel to Jealousy]

Yellow did not return until late that night, when Blue was sound asleep. When Yellow did, she went to the bathroom and broke down into sobs. 

Nothing had gone right that day. The jasper had been too overbearing and bossy, dictating everything the two did. It may have been fun for the quartz soldier, but for the thin, tall zircon, it was not fun at all. The two had been on such different wavelengths they could not possibly see eye to eye. The quartz seemed to enjoy dragging the much smaller gem around, the smaller gem unable to fight back.

It had been so awful, Yellow recalls as she stares in the mirror. Her golden hair is askew, ruffled and messy from a certain gem's hand. Her eyes were still watery, tears slipping down without much sound. She sighs, letting her thoughts wander to wherever they would.

She's so lost in thought that she doesn't even hear Blue enter the bathroom. It's only when she sees the indigo gem's reflection in the mirror that she snaps out of her thoughts. "Hey Blue, I thought you were asleep?"

Blue shrugs and presses her chin against Yellow's shoulder. "I was. Then I heard you crying." She admits. Yellow sighs again, fingers trailing through Blue's hair.

"How did it go?" Blue asks, a bitter tone in her voice that she tries to hide. Yellow shudders. "It was awful. Remind me never to date a quartz soldier ever again." Blue chuckles and slips a kiss onto her cheek.

"How about me? I'm no quartz-anything. I'm just a plain zircon that's madly in love with you." "Then you can be my 'plain' zircon." Yellow says with a smirk. Blue chuckles again and kisses her.

"Mine."
