You may call this part as "Faults in the Indian Society." Or as "Woman Empowerment." This is totally a different topic and I chose something like this for the first time. I don't know how I came up with this but I thought that this is a topic which I need to talk about.

We say that we are in the 21st century and we have logical thinking. But however you see, its not at all true. There are some aspects in our society where people judge the woman and treat them like useless, even though its not their fault. Why? Can anyone answer it?

How did the male became superior in our society?

Did they win a war against the female? No!

But why is this differentiation? Because, however modern the people may become, their thoughts are still in the 80's. And I find this totally ridiculous.

The previous 3 years of my schooling, or you may call as high school was the best time of my entire life. But there were differentiation even in the 'so called as the top 3rd school in the whole of India.'

The day would be normal, but when I talk with any of my boy-friend in the class, my teacher would come up to me and ask-

"Why are you talking to him?"

He would defend it somehow. Here, did you notice the '-' between 'boy' and 'friend'? It means that we friend zoned each other. We are just friends and absolutely friends with NO benefits. This thing which happened now, totally pisses me off! I wanted to shout like-

"Lady! We are not in the 80's and this is a co-education school! So, we can talk to each other! If you don't want us to talk, why do you run a co-ed school which has no meaning?"

And I know this makes sense right?

If I would ask the same question 'why are you talking to him?' to my teacher, what would she tell? She would answer the same thing that 'they are friends!' Then why doesn't she understand the students? This shit is totally ridiculous!

And then comes a time when, I had to go for a party or just for a hangout with my friends, which even include the boys. So, I need to ask for a permission of my dad or mom, and they came up like-

"A party with boys? Do you think its a good idea? Do you have an affair?"

Does this make any sense? Be truthful.

Party or an hangout doesn't mean sleeping with them! Get that into your mind! It just includes some funny talks, digging into the foods, enjoying ourselves. We are humans for god sake, please understand! I guess, many girls in India face this problem!

So, mom and dad, the girls in the foreign countries are all pregnant? I'm not being a racist but I'm telling the truth. The girls in the other countries have some more freedom than us. Don't argue about it cuz, we know its the truth.

"You are checking out the boys?",

This is a common question which we all face.

Yeah, I'm checking them out! Do you have any problem with it?(note the sarcasm)

Boys can check us out but what about girls? Do we not have eyes? Every person checks out the opposite gender and its the truth even though no one agrees about it. Its the extreme truth so, girls check out each and every boy which passes by you! -_-

"Don't go out at this time.",

This line is heard by every girl in India! I bet!

The time they are talking about is maybe in - 6am or 1pm or 7pm.

Is it a dangerous time? Seriously? No one is gonna kidnap you at that time!

But there are chances of harassment at any point of time.

So parents, TELL YOUR BOYS TO BEHAVE! ALLOW THE GIRLS TO GO OUT!

"You wore a short dress."

Wearing a short dress is as common as a monkey eating a banana!

Short dress doesn't mean that we are exposing! Seriously, its not that! Woman wear it because they like the outfit! Its so simple!

The problem with our parents is that they are concerned about what the society thinks about our family and blah blah! The people gossip for a few days and they forget about it! So, just be the way you are, enjoy the every second of your life!

If a guy roams shirtless or in a banian, the people don't care! But what is the problem when girls wear short dresses? Why do everyone glare at us? And the boys act so ridiculous and harass the girls if they wear short dresses! -_-

Guys! Please show some respect to the woman!

If a girl wants to continue her further studies in a foreign country, most of the families react like -
"Its not safe to send a girl alone to a unknown country where she doesn't know anyone. So, its better if she studies in any of the university here!"

I agree that its the truth, but restricting a woman's freedom is not at all good. She needs to come out someday and she needs to live on her own so, just give her a chance to prove herself. She just wants to stay independent so that she can use her own money instead of others. Its just a kind of satisfaction which cannot be expressed.

If the most famous, Mary Kom and Saina Nehwal didn't do what they dreamt of, imagine how it would be now. They would some housewife's in some part of the country regretting every single decision they made.

So girls, just don't stop dreaming because someone is stopping you. Just go for it and show them what you can do.

Remember that the best way of taking revenge is to prove them wrong!

"You are a girl, know your limits.."

If you are a girl, does it mean that we just need to nod our head for whatever you say? Absolutely NO!

There is a limit of going through things, if it crosses the line just take a step further and fight for your right. Its not gonna be easy, you may be abused but never let your confidence down. I'm sure, you are gonna win it someday.

"If you are gonna drink alcohol, who is gonna marry you?"

Alcohol is a 'drink' for your kind information! If a girl is gonna drink it she's not going to get chlamydia! Is it agreeable to you if guys drink it? Its the same alcohol and a same specie drinking it! So, there is gonna be a same effect on both of them.
