"Fiona, don't worry about that,it could happen to anyone.  I'm going to leave you freshen yourself up, go have a shower. I'll let everyone know that your not to be disturbed for today, your time is to do with what you please, I'll be back tomorrow."

She gathers her stuff and leaves, I don't know what to do.  I don't remember ever being allowed time to myself.  I only ever got it when I hid.  I go into the bathroom and she's left me a little mirror, some hairclips and I think gloss. There's also a book called Black Beauty and new pyjamas.  My first thought is to cut but I feel like I'd be letting Simone down.  The many Counsellors words I've listened to without responding whizz round in my brain.  "None of this is your fault."  "Your a beautiful young lady."

I can't bring myself to look in the mirror but I shower and use the hairclips on Dolly.  She's also allowed look at herself and use some gloss.  I have to make it up to her.  I wash her clothes as best I can with soap in the sink, I've no new ones to put on her but give her a pair of my new underwear, their swimming on her but better than nothing, just while hers dry.  I get into my new pyjamas and smile, which I go to slap myself for, but stop before I connect.  

Dolly and I retire to bed, book in hand but I'm only about a page in and fall asleep.  I don't remember dreaming or screaming.
