Oliver stared at the small child in front of him, trying to appear less intimidating but failing miserably. He watched as the four year old hid behind Barry and glared at him.

Barry watched the two with a nervous smile.
"So, Danny, Olli here is gonna take you out for ice cream today, won't that be fun?" Barry said, bending down to meet Danny's height.

He quickly shook his head, still glaring at Oliver. Oliver shuffled his feet awkwardly, trying his best to seem as friendly as possible.

It wasn't working very well.

"I promise it'll be fun! You can even go to the park if you want, they have swings there! You love Swinging don't you?" Barry asked, trying to get Danny into agreeing. Oliver got an apartment in Central and asked Barry and Danny to move in with him. Danny didn't really know Oliver that well so Barry wanted them to bond a little before agreeing.

Danny paused for a moment before slowly nodding his head.
"I knew it, so how about it? Do you want to go now?" Barry asked with a hopeful smile on his face.

Danny looked at him then at Oliver. Oliver tried his best to smile but it came out more as a grimace. Danny frowned but looked at Barry's hopeful smile once more. He dramatically sighed before nodding.

'Oh thank god' Barry thought, letting out a breath of relief. Danny slowly stopped hiding behind Barry and eventually walked up to Oliver.

Oliver stared at Danny, mentally freaking out which caused Barry to nearly face palm. Oliver looked at Barry who pointed at his smile.

Oliver looked down at the four year old and finally gave him a decent smile. Danny copied before grabbing Oliver's hand and leading him to the door.

"Oh? We're leaving now?" Oliver asked, giving Barry a nervous look, earning a shrug and an amused smile in return.

Danny nodded and pointed to the door. Oliver got the hint and opened it. He was then dragged away by a now calm and happy Danny.

Oliver watched with a small smile as Danny excitedly swung on the swings, a big smile on his face. Oliver hadn't had a chance to really be around Danny all that much. With a few assholes causing trouble in starling and having to run Queen Consolidated, he's been really busy.

Now that things calmed down, he'd be able to spend more time with them.

Danny slowly came to a stop and watched as the kid on the swing next to him was being pushed by their guardian. He tilted his head before looking at Oliver. He pointed to the two next to him with a smile.

Oliver's eyebrows shot up in surprise before he quickly got up. He was thankful Danny was becoming more comfortable around him, something which would make Barry extremely happy.

He stood there and pushed Danny on the swing. Both of them smiling happily.

"Which one do you want? Chocolate?" Oliver asked, pointing to each ice cream flavor on the board in front of them. Danny stuck his tongue out in thought as he looked at all the choices. Oliver bent down next to him to whisper in his ear.
"I'll let you pick two flavors as long as you don't tell Barry"

Danny looked at him in excitement and immediately nodded. After a moment of silence he pointed to the mint chocolate chip and the cookie dough.

Oliver told the ice cream worker. They gave Danny and Oliver a warm smile.
"Coming right up"

The two of them sat down at a nearby table as they waited for Danny's ice cream. Oliver noticed Danny staring at the claw machine which held a bunch of Flash and Arrow plushies as prizes.

"Do you want to try it?" Oliver asked, already getting some change out. Danny nodded and Oliver handed him some quarters. He lead Danny over and watched as he tried to get a Flash plushie.

"Order for Oliver Queen" A worker announced.

"I'll be right back bud, keep trying I'm sure you'll get it" Oliver said, earning a determined nod.

Oliver turned around and walked towards the counter as soon as Danny finally managed to grab a plushie with the claw and drop it into the hole. He then grabbed the plushie.

Suddenly, he felt a hand grab his arm and something press against his side. He turned and saw a gruff looking man who appeared to be in his late twenties or early thirties. He was holding a knife to his side. Danny froze in fear, hands clenching around his Flash plushie.

"As long as you don't cause a scene and come with me peacefully, you won't get stabbed" He said in a soft yet threatening voice.

Danny looked around and saw that nobody was paying them any attention, Oliver's back was turned as he waited to receive the ice cream.

He wanted to kick him or do anything that would bring them attention, but the fear of getting hurt stopped him. He was quickly dragged away from the claw machine and towards the exit.

He dropped his Flash plushie as he was dragged out of the shop.

"Didn't know Queen had a kid, I wonder how much he'll pay to get ya back alive"

Oliver thanked the worker as he grabbed Danny's ice cream cone. He turned around, careful not to drop it, and made his way back to the claw machine.

He quickly froze when he realized Danny wasn't there. He looked at the table they sat at and felt his heart drop when he didn't see him there either.

"Danny?" He called out, trying to control the panic in his voice. It earned him the attention of a few workers.

"Mr Queen? Is everything okay?" One asked.

His eyes widened when he saw a Flash plushie just outside the exit. He ran towards it and picked it up. He dropped the cone and immediately raced out the door.

"DANNY!?" He yelled, running down the side walk.

His eyes caught a small black haired child being led away by a middle aged man. He felt rage bubble up as he realized that was Danny.

He shoved his way towards them, eyes glaring at the kidnapper, a murderous look in them.

Danny nervously followed the evil man in front of him, looking for any chance to escape. He looked down at the arm discreetly holding the knife against his side. The man waved down a Taxi and Danny bit his arm,

Hard.

The man yelped and dropped the knife, earning a few stares. Danny quickly turned around and ran. He huffed as he ran through everybody, trying to get away from the evil man.

He ran into a subway station in hopes of finding somebody who could help. He was quickly disappointed to find it empty. He jumped as he suddenly felt a hand grab his arm. He turned around and kicked his attacker in the groin.

He watched, horrified, as Oliver groaned in pain and let go, dropping the Flash plushie he had been holding. Danny immediately threw his arms around him in relief.
"It's alright bud, I'm here" Oliver said, ignoring the pain.

They heard a click of a gun and Oliver immediately put Danny behind him, turning to see the kidnapper.

"That wasn't how I planned it to go" The man said, glaring at Danny and aiming a gun at the two.

Oliver growled and immediately regretted not bringing his bow. That's okay, he could easily kill the man without it. He felt Danny shaking in fear and mentally cursed, he couldn't kill the man with Danny right there.

"What the hell do you want?" Oliver growled, unintentionally using his Arrow voice.

"What I wanted was a nice, quiet hostage. However now that the brat ruined that, what I want now is no witnesses" The man smirked and aimed the gun at them once more.

He had no time to react as the man fired. He turned to try and protect Danny from the shot. However, he watched in shock as Danny's eyes turned green and they both became transparent. He watched as the bullet passed harmlessly through them and hit the wall behind them.

The man froze in shock and dropped his gun. Danny's eyes returned to normal along with them. Oliver took this chance to attack. He picked up the gun and punched the man right in the face. He kicked him down and punched him once more, knocking him out cold.

He turned back towards Danny and saw him staring at his arms in shock. He looked at Oliver who slowly made his way towards him. He backed away and shook his head, pointing at himself.

Oliver's heart clenched in sadness as tears appeared in the four year olds eyes. He could tell he was just as confused as Oliver was.

"It's okay Danny, you're not in trouble, We're gonna figure this out" Oliver said gently. Danny still looked at him, obviously scared.

Oliver grabbed the Flash plushie on the ground and held it out. Danny paused for a moment before walking up and grabbing it. He then grabbed Oliver's hand with his free one.

"C'mon, lets go take a visit to Star Labs where Barry is"

He looked back at the unconscious man.

"After we take that bastard to the police"

"Well?" Barry asked anxiously as Caitlin looked at the results of Danny's DNA test.

"I... Honestly, I've never seen anything like it" She said in slight excitement.

"Is he a meta?" Oliver asked, looking over at Danny who was playing legos with Cisco.

Caitlin shook her head.
"I don't think so, it seems like he's been this way for awhile"

"Been what way?" Barry began vibrating nervously, causing Oliver to place a comforting arm around his shoulders.

Cisco pointed at the couple and made a gagging nose, Danny watched and copied.

"His DNA is half ectoplasm. It seems to have been that way for nearly two years now. It caused a change and gave him that ability" She explained, "though, I have no idea what could of caused it"

By the sudden paleness to Barry's face, she could tell he knew.
"Two years? That's how long it's been since the portal incident" Barry mumbled, earning three confused and shocked looks.

"Hold on, portal accident? Did I hear that correctly?" Cisco exclaimed. He handed Danny his phone so he could watch some cartoons before joining the three adults.

Danny payed them no mind, hugging his plushie and watching his cartoons.

After checking to make sure Danny was preoccupied, he began explaining.
"A couple years ago, Danny's parents finished creating a portal that could reach a dimension known as the Ghost Zone. It didn't work at first so they went to get new materials, while they were away Danny wandered into their lab and crawled inside the portal"

"Oh shit" Cisco said, making Caitlin elbow him. She nudged towards the innocent child a few feet away from them.

"Oops, Sorry.."

"It turned on with him still inside, electrocuting him. Luckily the babysitter found him in time to call an ambulance. It took him nearly a year to recover, I think that's where he got that ability" Barry said.

They heard Danny sneeze. Cisco turned to say 'bless you' but froze, looking up.

"...make that 'abilities'" He said. Confused, they turned to follow his gaze to see Danny floating upside down, still holding Cisco's phone and his plushie.

Barry freaked out and zoomed up the ceiling and grabbed him, zooming back down and putting him back in his original spot. Danny looked around confused for a moment before going back to his cartoons.

Cisco turned to Barry and Oliver with a grin.
"Having a kid is one thing, but having a kid with superpowers, man good luck"

Iris squealed when she saw her favorite cousin/nephew curled up on Joes couch, sleeping and snuggling a Flash plushie. She took a picture just as Barry walked out of the kitchen.

"Careful not to wake him, he's had a rough day" He said in a whisper. Iris turned towards her foster brother.
"He did, what happened?"

"Some asshole tried kidnapping him while he and Oliver went out for ice cream and- Iris.." Barry paused when he heard a crunch.

"Some asshole what?" She asked, the cup in her hand now slightly cracked.

Oh right, she was scarily protective of Danny.
