Capturing Phantom (Part 2)

Danny's POV:

My parents brought me through the halls of my school. I sat scared in the cage they brought me in and scooted as far away from the door I could. Maddie stepped in front of the door and opened it. I could see Sam and Tucker with wide eyes staring at me as Jack pushed my cage into the room. Maddie went out to grab the other supplies and bring it in.

"Hello guys. I'm Maddie and this is Jack. Hey. Where's Danny?" Maddie questioned.

"He wasn't feeling very good this morning and I told him to just relax and rest at my house until he felt well enough to leave." Sam lied to her.

Thank you Sam!

"Oh okay then. I guess he'll have to miss this." She said with a sigh.

Trust me. I'm not missing it.

"Anyway," she continued, "we have finally captured Phantom! We always wanted to see what makes a ghost tick, so we wanted to dissect one. And who better than our local ghost! Please give Jack and I a moment to set up and then we'll start.

I looked at the class panicked. Sam and Tucker were scared and seemed to be thinking of a way out of this. Paulina looked like she was about to cry. Star was in shock and trying to comfort her friend. Dash and the other guy A-Listers were in shock. The nerds were fascinated and shocked at the same time. Valerie had an evil smile. Like I deserved this.

Maddie moved two metal blocks into a clear space on the floor and pushed a button on a remote as it surged into a table with straps and another table to put the tools on. Jack grabbed their supplies to experiment on me with and set it up. I began to breath heavily. I can't do this. They can't do this!

Once everything was ready, Jack opened the door. I scooted back further, even though my back was already pressed against the cage. But unfortunately I couldn't escape this. He grabbed me and with the cuffs they put on me to cancel out my ghost powers, I couldn't turn intangible to leave. I struggled as he picked me up and strapped me to the table. They set a camera directly above me so they could project it to the class.

Soon there was nothing I could do. I sat helplessly on the table, whisper begging them to let me go. I was met with glares. Maddie picked up a large knife with ragged edges on it. She smirked. I looked scared at it. She places it over me and then begins to carve a "Y" into my chest. I yell. "It hurts! It hurts! Make it stop! Please! I've never hurt anyone! Please don't do this to me! I just wanted to protect you!"

"Shut up ghost scum. You're lying. Ghosts can't feel anything. And you've never helped anyone but yourself." Maddie spat at me.

Once she finished the cut after what felt like hours, but in reality was less than two minutes, she peeled my skin back. I whimpered.

"Amazing Mads. This ghost has all of his organs. Mane we should take them out for samples to experiment on." Jack says happily to his wife who nods. They grabbed a glass jar and ripped out my liver.

"Ow. Sh!t. Fu€k! Stop it. It hurts so much!" I scream in pain. I was met with a stab in my arm by a sharp knife covered in blood blossom. I screamed more.

They continued to rip out more organs. I was in so much pain. Tears ran down my face and sharp objects stabbed and slashed me. My body shook. Soon the only thing left was my heart. Maddie and Jack evilly grinned at each other, ready to rip it out. I realized there was nothing left to be done to stop it. I turned my head toward my class. My eyes fell in my two best friends, each with tears streaming down their face. Tucker was holding Sam as she cried. Their eyes met mine and I gave as much of a smile as I could. They sadly smiled back, but stopped because they knew that they probably wouldn't be able to see me again unless they could sneak o to the Ghost Zone.

"Stop! Wait! Mr. and Mrs. Fenton! Please wait!" Sam suddenly shouted out.

They stopped to turn to her. She ran forward and dropped to the ground in front of the table. Her face meeting mine. Tucker sadly followed.

"I'm sorry I couldn't save you. I don't want you to go. You mean to much to me. I need to save you. I-" I stopped her. "It's not your fault. You'll see me again. This time I can properly die. Not a half death. I'll be a full ghost. Sam, I just wanted to say before I go, I love you. And I'm sorry I can't spend the rest of our lives together like we planned, but at least I'll be with my daughter." Tucker put his hand on Sam's shoulder. "Tucker, man. You were my first best friend dude. I'm gonna miss you. Look after Sam for me. And my sister. She'll need someone there for her since she won't be able to deal with her parents. Tell her I love her and I never wanted to end this way. I'm ready guys. Being half ghost was getting so hard. At least I won't have to lead a double life anymore. Tell my parents I forgive them. And tell them my secret. I won't be coming home anytime soon to see them, so it's best if they know. I love you guys." "We love you too Danny." They both told me.

"Wait. Did you say half ghost? That means...that means you're part human! Jack. He's a hybrid. He must be so rare!" Maddie rambles.

"Mads. He's part human. He has a family. He apparently knows Danny's friends. And how are we supposed to explain to them that we killed their son?" Jack asked her.

She looked back at my watery eyes. "You're right. He's still part human. Which means he felt the pain! Oh God! We just almost kid a boy! Jack what do we do!?" She panicked.

"Mom! Dad! Stop it! You can't hurt Phantom!" I heard my sister Jazz scream, running into the room. She then saw me and broke down. "Da-" she started. "Hey, hey. Calm down Jazz. I'm okay. It's okay. I'm ready to move on. I can fully die this time. No more secrets. No more lies." I tried to assure her.

"But you had so much more time to live..." She frowns.

"I was half dead." I chuckle, spreading pin through my almost empty body. I wince.

"I can't lose you. I won't lose you. I'll save you." She says determined. "Sam. First aid kit! Tucker! We need to put all of his body part back. His quick healing should hopefully start up and heal everything back together."

"We'll help you. This is our fault. If we had know he was also human-" Jack trailed off.

"Okay guys. If you want to save me,I suggest starting now. I can't stay awake much longer." I tell them. My friends and sister look scared. Soon my body was slowly being fixed. The class watch scared of what was happening. Mr. Lancer fainted. My eyes struggled to stay open. "Come on Phantom. Push through." Sam encouraged me. I stayed awake. For her. For Tucker. For Jazz.

"Jack. Look at this. There are red blood cells in the ectoplasm." Maddie said in amazement.

"Do you mind if we take some of this Phantom?" Jack asked me.

"There is some in a few of the jars. Just take it." They nod.

Soon my whole body was placed the way it was supposed to be. I could feel myself already beginning to heal. Sam grabbed a needle and began to stitch my chest up. It would obviously leave a nasty scar. But I'm not going to worry about that. As long as I can still be with them.

Once I was finished up, I asked Sam to give me more ectoplasm and blood. She pulled out two syringes, one filled with each, and used them on my arm. I could feel my body trying to work faster. I definitely felt better. Jack undid the straps holding me down.

"How are you feeling?" Jazz asked me, with concern and worry on her eyes.

"I think I'll half live." I said with a wink. My friends and sister laughing.

"You scared me man. I don't know what I'd do without ya." Tucker told me.

"You have no clue how scared we were. How I was. All I could think about was not being able to see you again. I would punch you right now, but I'm too scared that I'll hurt you." Sam told me with tears in her eyes. I reached out and grabbed her hand.

"I would kill you again for leaving. You can't do that to us. I can't imagine not seeing you everyday." Jazz told me. I used my other hand and held hers.

"I don't plan on leaving any of you anytime soon. I love all of you too much to let go. I will always keep fighting to stay here with you. You three are part of my family, like it or not, and I don't want to lose my family again." I tell them, each giving their hand a slight squeeze.

I let out a small yawn. And my eyes began closing.

"No! Don't go to sleep! You may not wake up human at all if you do! We can't lose you!" They shout at me. By now Mr. Lancer had woken up.

"Relax. I just used to much of my power trying to heal myself from so much damage. At least they didn't get the heart." I assured them. They nod and I started falling asleep.

2 rings formed around my waist. I tried to fight it, but I was too tired. The others looked at me horrified. "Guys..." "Don't change back!" "Easier said than done." I scoffed.

I tried to fight it back, but it was too hard. I finally gave up.

"I'm sorry." I whispered, before falling asleep, now in my human form.

A/N: Four pages. I think I'll make the reactions and aftermath into a part three. I hope you guys liked this chapter. If you have any suggestions for future one-shots, let me know and I'll try to write it. The more info the better. Thank you for reading!
