Chapter 5
Mr. Gold managed to wake me gently on the couch, telling me I could spend the night in his bed if I wanted to. So I did. I fell asleep while laying close to him, and woke up just as close.
"Did you sleep well, dearie?" he asks me.
"Mmmm, yeah, like a baby," I raise my head to look at him, his hair rugged, matching the stubble on his handsome face. I bite my lip, my palm resting on his chest, his hand on top of mine.
"I better get up and make my way over to the shop, but I'll be happy to make you some breakfast before I go," he smiles at me.
"Why don't I make you breakfast? You've been a most generous host, I'd be happy to fix you something," I say.
"Alright, surprise me then," he replies, and I lean down to give him a quick kiss, but he pulls me back in, so we end up making out for quite a while before getting out of bed.
I make him pancakes, standing in his kitchen wearing a silke robe. My hair is messy, and my make-up smudged, but Mr. Gold seemed to be all for said look, hardly able to keep his hands to himself before he went to take a shower.
He enters the kitchen looking on fleek with a smirk on his face. "I could get used to this," he places his hands on my hips, tugging at the robe.
"Me too," I purr, kissing him.
"Say, I might be coming off too strong here, but I think, at least hope, we'll be seeing quite a lot of each other... Not just the fact you're working at my shop and that I would like to date you every night of the week... I just see no point in you renting a room at Granny's B&B... I got lots of room in this big, old house. Why don't you come and stay with me?"
I widen my eyes, not with shock, just surprised by his proposal.
"If it's too soon, which it is of course, don't be afraid to say no. I just want to help you and be with you any way I can, for as long as I can."
I smile at him. "I'd love to," I say and embrace him. "Thank you."
"No, thank you, dearie. You've made a crippled, old man very happy," he beams at me, and I clash my lips against his, kissing him fiercely, hoping he'll taste the fire within me.
After breakfast, Mr. Gold drops me off outside Granny's B&B, so I can pack my suitcase. "I'll see you at work then," he says, kissing my cheek.
"Yeah, I'll bring lunch," I say.
"Ah, nice" he smiles, squeezing my hand before we part.
I enter the diner with my suitcase to order a couple of sandwiches.
"Leaving already?" Ruby asks.
"No, I... I'm moving in with Rumple," I say and smile, remembering when he told me his first name; saying I'll call him Gold anyway, telling him he's solid and charmingly shiny. He chuckled, telling me I have no idea.
"Already?" Ruby seems shocked.
"Yeah, well, he doesn't want me to spend my money on renting, and well, he's got a big house," I say.
"Luring you in, huh?" Ruby frowns while clearing a table.
"He's not luring me into anything. He said I could say no if I though it was too soon. I know it is, but I'm done not taking chances. And I haven't done anything but following my instincts since I arrived here, and so far they've been right. I know I just met him, but I find him decent and desirable, and though we don't know where we're going, I don't see any reason why we can't enjoy the ride."
"Okay," Rubys says. "Okay. If you like him, and find him, well, acceptable, I'll keep my mouth shout and be happy for you, but please don't say I didn't warn you if something bad happens, if he decides to rip out your heart and squash it to dust or something."
"I don't think he will." I got tears in my eyes now.
"You might think that, but you don't know that. There's a difference," Ruby's staring harshly at me now.
"For god's sake, I can protect my own heart if your way of helping is to spit venom about a man you clearly don't know nothing about." I grab my suitcase and leave hastily through the door, forgetting the lunch all together.
---
Watching the ocean, hearing the seagulls and breathing in the fresh sea air by the docks calms me down, and I force Ruby's words into a vault. If anybody's been luring anybody, it's I who have tempted Gold to feed my yearning for passion, my secret dream of true romance. Something I never thought myself worthy of. Whether it's because he too is lonely and an outcast, I don't care. Birds of a feather flock together.
---
I enter Gold's shop, and he comes out of the back. My eyes are probably a bit red rimmed, and he notices. "What's the matter, dearie?" he rushes over to me.
"Nothing, I'm fine. I just had a fight with Ruby."
"About me again?" he asks. Me not replying is answer enough. "Look, some of the things going around about me is true, some is not. I'm not proud about what I've done, and probably would have done, if I haven't met you. But in the short time we've known each other, being feared and having power to intimidate the town, is not my first priority. It's not a priority any longer. I just want to make you happy." The look in his eyes tells me he's being earnest.
"But this whole town seems to have given up the hope of happy endings, even you," I say.
"That might be, but at least I've started hoping again, and that's something," Rumple states.
"I guess so," I say and smile.
"All we have is here and now, and right here, right now, I swear to be the man you think I am. That I know I can be, if you'll have me," he pledges, his brown eyes fixed on my face.
"I wanted the idea of you even before we met," I say, my eyes blank.
He pulls me in for a kiss, and I melt into him, forging a bond that cannot be broken.
---
The bell at the door rings, and I turn from my organizing. It's Ruby. She's carrying a basket.
"Hi," she says, giving me a trying smile.
"Hi," I say and just look at her.
"I'm sorry about what I said," Ruby starts. "You're the first new friend I've made in ages, and I scare you off like a mother-knows-best. I don't want to lose you. I just want you to be glad, to find joy here in Storybrooke," she smiles heartily now.
"Thank you," I say and walk over to her, and suddenly we're hugging.
"I brought lunch," she says and laughs a soft laugh.
"Thanks! I kinda stormed out of there without it, didn't I?" I ask.
"Well, yeah," Ruby gives me a crooked smile. We both chuckle.
Mr. Gold comes out of the back. "Ruby," he says and nods.
"Mr. Gold," she greets him. "Well, I better get back to the diner," Ruby says, putting the basket down on the counter. "Just bring it back when you can."
"Sure," I say and see her off.
---
My second day at the shop is coming to an end, and I'm well into my task at getting things sorted. I find Gold in the back bent over a pile of papers.
"I'm happy to stick around till you get off," I say.
He looks up at me, and we lock eyes, both of our minds trailing down an impure path. "I got no doubt, dearie," he smirks. "But that's okay. Take my car and get settled back at the house. I'll be there when I'm done with this."
"Okay," I say and catch the keys as he tosses them over to me. "I can come and get you though, I want to treat you to dinner anyway," I say and smile.
"Really?" he asks.
"Sure! Nothing fancy though, just burger and fries at Granny's."
"Granny's?" Gold asks.
"Well, yeah. You said you were done trying to scare people off, so I figured dinner at Granny's is a great place to start," I grin.
"Did you now, dearie?" he gives me a dark, but extremely sexy look that makes me bite my lower lip almost too hard.
I walk over to him, and sit down astride him. "I did," I say and narrow my eyes. "And you'll just have to deal with it." I put my arms around his neck.
"I'll deal with it all right," he growls and kisses me sultry. Since I'm still wearing the skirt from last night, it doesn't take long before it's pushed up and out of the way, his beast unleashed and slithering past my underwear, possessing my womanhood with flaring flesh and intense pleasure. We fuck hard and fast, knowing someone can enter the shop at any moment. Moaning repeatedly while ramming myself down on his cock, I come ferociously, my hands seizing his shoulders hard, his hands clasping my hips as he comes too, his manhood crammed deep within me. "Ahhhh, ahhhh, ahhhh," I pant wildly.
He purrs contently. "Dinner at Granny's it is," he says huskily, and I laugh, leaning my forehead against his.
