Chapter 7

I'm stirred awake by the lights returning to the shop. The storm has passed, and it's still now. Mr. Gold's arms are wrapped tightly around me, like he's protecting me from the rage of the nature elements, and the world in general.

Suddenly there's a forcible knock on the shop door, and Gold awakes too. The knocking won't stop, so I stumble out of the bed, putting on my dress and Gold's blazer.

It's Regina. "Has Henry been here?" she blurts out once I open and she rushes inside.
"No, sorry," I reply. "After the lights went out and the storm picked up it's anger, we stayed here." "So I see," Regina says, eyeing me. I must look like a mess after a night of passionate lovemaking till the wee hours of the night. Gold couldn't keep his hands off me, and I him, so we've been tumbling about like wild animals drawing power from the tempest to keep going, like we knew something unwritten is about to be put down in words. A new changing chapter coming for better or worse.
"It's not like Henry to just disappear! I know he resent me at times, like all children do their parents at some point in their life. They think some kind of punishment is due to make a statement, but just vanishing before a storm? To make me worried sick if he's alive and well? Or even here in Storybrooke? That's not like him." Regina runs a hand through her hair, tugging it in frustration. I know she and Henry don't always see eye to eye, but I agree that it's an extreme move to do this to his mother, and that it's not very Henry to be this bold in making a show of resentment.

Gold comes out of the back, his shirt open at the top, his hair and face rugged, and I forget my worrying for a split second as I take him in, a rush of lust throbbing in me.
"Regina," Mr. Gold greets her. "I'm sorry to hear that Henry hasn't returned, but I'm sure he will very soon."
"You don't know that," Regina frowns.
"No, but here's to hoping," Gold tries to smile.
"He's right," I say. "We can help you look for him again, but it all comes down to hoping Henry will do the right thing and come back."
"I've arranged a search party, some are already looking in the forest. Meet me at the diner in 30 minutes and I'll give you further information," Regina says, heading for the door.

Gold and I get properly dressed, and I fix my hair and make-up. Gold stands behind me, hands on my hips. "Last night," he purrs into my hair, making my knees buckle. "Was magical," he goes on saying, his hands playing with the hem of my dress now.
"You've made me a believer," I say, looking at his reflection in the mirror.
"And you me. Like I got the power to do anything, with no limits, no regrets," he continues to purr in my ear. He clears my hair away from my right shoulder, kissing my neck.
"Gold," I half moan. "We have to get going."
"I know, dearie," he nips at my skin with his teeth, and I sigh. His eyes, as I see them in the mirror, is darker than usual, almost black, and his stare gives me chills. Not of fear, but of something forbidden. There's a hunger there which I feel is eating at my soul, and I let it feast. "We got time," he growls against my skin, his teeth scraping over it.
"Minutes," I reply, sobbing on the inside with lust and longing, feeling his hardness behind me. It's so wrong to crave him when I should be worrying about Henry and helping Regina, but my mind is clouded like a dark piece of the storm still remains, shading my better judgement for this alluring man standing close to me. "Fuck it," I say and turn around, throwing my arms around his neck and pulling him to me. "Fuck me!"

And he does. Rough and rushed on top of his desk, but I don't need that many thrusts against my cunt before I climax. His cock ramming into me with such purpose to please me, sending me over the edge before I even know what hit me. "AHHHHHHHH," I cry out as a he bangs against me, supporting himself by grasping my thighs. I lay there flat on my back, the dangerous gentleman of my dreams between my legs and watch him empty himself inside me, roaring his victory as he does. Sitting up, I kiss him like there's no tomorrow, panting hard.
"I love you," I say in-between the kisses. "Never leave me," I plead.
"Never, dearie," he promises.

We help search the town for Henry for a couple of hours, but come up just as empty handed like the day before. There's no trace of him anywhere. Regina's beyond worried, and I've offered to keep her company to try and calm her nerves.

"So, what are Mr. Gold's intentions?" she suddenly asks.
"What do you mean?" I wonder.
"He's clearly got his eyes set on you. He's never had his eyes on anyone, his wealth and being above all others has always been enough for him," she smirks, clearly trying to focus on something other than Henry for a change.
"I don't know, we're just having fun," I say and flush.
"Clearly. The two of you make me sick," she scoffs.
"Jealous are we?" I grin back.
"No, I'm not, I got all I need, thank you," Regina takes a sip of her cup. We're at her house, eating pie, which she made to have something to do.
"I don't know what Gold wants. I know what I want, but women are like that, always two steps ahead of the guy they're involved with," I state.
"Tell me about it," Regina shakes her head.
"Oh?" I ask. "Someone's two steps behind you?"
"No," Regina answers so quick, I jump back in my chair. "I mean... It's nothing," she smooths over.
"Maybe not, but you got me curious," I smile.
"And that's what killed the cat," she gives me an evil sneer.
"Perhaps, but cats also got nine lives," I chuckle.
"Gold's little vixen," Regina joins in my giggle.
"I learn from the best," I say and raise my cup.
"To the best," Regina toasts.

The day goes by, and no Henry. I offer to spend the night, but Regina sends me home to Mr. Gold. "Call me if you hear anything," I say before I go.
"Likewise," Regina gives me a nod.

---

As I make my way to Gold's house from Regina's, I meet the town sheriff, Graham. "Hi!" I say as we pass each other.
"Good evening," he smiles.
I pretend to wander on, but hide to see where he's going. And my suspicions are right; he's heading for the Mayor's house. Clearly Miss Mills needs a distraction while waiting for her lost boy to return.

---

The next day, when I'm at Granny's diner, having lunch with Ruby, a yellow bug stops outside, and a blond woman and a boy gets out.
"It's Henry!" I yell and get up to meet him. Ruby and Granny rush towards the stranger and Henry as well.
"Henry, where have you been? Your mother's worried sick!" I demand to know.
"This is my mom," Henry says.
I look at the blond woman wearing a red leather jacket. "What are you talking about? Have you told your mother you're here?" I pry.
"No, not yet," Henry shrugs his shoulders.
"Come with me, both of you," I say to Henry and the woman, which looks rather taken aback.
"Look, I didn't want to come here, but Henry's been telling me all kinds of things about this town and who lives here, so I had to bring him home safe and tell his mother that he might need some help."
I don't have time to ask the woman to elaborate further as I rush them both to meet Regina at her office.

---

"I'm so sorry I'm late," I say when I enter Gold's shop. He's behind the counter. At first he looks mad, but softens almost immediately.
"That's alright, dearie. I reckon you got a pretty good reason for that," he rounds the counter to greet me.
"I do! Henry's back!" I shout.
"He is?" Gold's surprised; not in a way that he didn't think Henry wouldn't come back, but in a fairly interested way that something's about to go down.
"Yeah, he's been to Boston. A woman, Miss Swan, brought him back here. Henry's gone mental according to her."
"A woman you say?" Gold asks.
"Yes," I reply.
"Where is she now?" he pries further.
"I think she went to get a room at Granny's B&B."
"Well, I got to collect rent anyway," Mr. Gold says. "Might as well get it now that you are here."
"Are you alright?" I study him.
"Of course, why wouldn't I be?" he asks me.
"You seem more concerned about the strange woman than Henry," I say.
"I'm sorry," he comforts me. "I very glad Henry's back." He gives me a quick kiss. "I'll be back soon."

I'm not sure what "soon" means to Gold, but not returning, making me close the shop and go home to an empty house, is as far from the term as it gets. I heat some leftovers and pour myself a glass of wine.
Around midnight, I hear keys rattling at the door, and Gold comes in looking like a distressed zombie, walking, but his mind elsewhere.
"Gold?" I ask worried. It's like he doesn't hear me. "Hey," I try and reach out to touch him. He stirs, looking at me with such confusion, yet determination, my heart drops through the floor. Whatever he's discovered can't be good for us.
