(Dawnkit's POV)

No one slept. But in the morning Liontail went with Goldenwhisker to check on the camp.

LeopardSpots still held onto me like her life depended on it. I didn't mind though, I liked the comfort. And she smelled like Crystalheart.

Eventually exhaustion over took her and she fell into sleep. As I wriggled out from her grasp I heard crying.

Behind a rock was Silverstar, ears flat in mourning. Not just morning her deputy, but her whole clan.

"Silverstar! Come quick!" Greyfur suddenly yelled. Her ears perked up as she tried to pull herself together.

She gave a small forced smile as she walked past me. "What is it Greyfur?" She asked, trying to sound okay.

"It's One-ear.... He fell asleep and wont wake. I'm afraid we've lost him....." Greyfur said, head down.

Silverstar closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She looked like she wanted to speak but instead turned around and went back to the rock, head down and tail drooping.

I followed, "Silverstar?" I said quietly.

She lifted her head and gave me a soft smile, "Yes little kit?" She motioned for me to come closer and pulled me into her fur with her tail.

I snuggled into her soft pelt and looked up at her, "Is Cloudclan lost?" I mewed quietly.

Silverstar's smile faded and she closed her eyes, "I am afraid so small one..."
