Percy's pov
Raven developed a friendship with Clarisse and Coach Hedge today. They bonded over martial arts(which Raven was good at), violence, weapons, and Korean food. Need I say more? That was one odd friendship. A violent middle aged satyr that tries to kill everyone,an extremely violent teenage daughter of Ares,and a dark, unpredictable vampire that had a mysterious past. That's a recipe for disaster right there.

My sister and Hazel were getting along pretty well too. Apparently Hazel is now going with her and the merpeople on that trip.

Then disaster struck. No surprise there. Hae-Joon and Leo somehow got into Raven's side of the cabin and started ransacking her explosives and strange inventions. You know,just standard brother and brother's friend behavior,ransacking the sister's room. For them,it was a dream come true. Until they got caught.

No,not by Raven. They got caught by her snake. Literally,it trapped them in its coils.

A few minutes later,the door burst open,and this time it was Raven. "WHAT IN THE NAME OF HADES' UNDERWEAR OF THE DAMNED IS GOING ON HERE!" Raven looked angrier than I had ever seen her. Her eyes were a blazing black-silver,like liquid metal,and I'm fairly sure that her ears caught on fire. That wouldn't be very surprising.

Nico followed behind her. He raised an eyebrow incredulously. "Did you just ask what was going on in the name of my dad's underwear?"

The fire flickering around her face went out. "Yeah,I guess I did."

Nico stared. Then he did something that I would've never expected. Honestly,I had to pinch myself to see if I was dreaming. He laughed.

That's right,my sister made the gloomy death boy laugh by yelling about his dad's underwear.

The boys trapped by the snake seemed equally stunned. Even the snake seemed confused. It hissed,almost like it was asking a question.

And the strangest thing? Raven understood what it was saying. She hissed back,and the snake uncoiled, slithering off to who knows where.

She gave the two perpetrators (what? Maybe Annabeth and Raven's intelligence is rubbing off on me!)a death glare that could kill. "We will discuss this later,"she said,soft voice cold.

Then she whirled around,and gracefully exited the room. Hae-Joon and Leo,not so much. They practically tripped over each other in their rush to get out of there.

Raven's pov
I swear,one of these days Hae-Joon and Leo are either going to accidentally blow themselves up because they mess with my stuff,or get themselves killed by ticking me off so much. There's a reason I prefer being alone with my books and animals. Alone protects me. Although I suppose that having friends can be enjoyable as well.

I was getting pretty bored,so I went up to Percy and Annabeth to ask,"When's the wedding?"

"What do you mean? Who's getting married?" Annabeth asked, eyeing me suspiciously.

"Why,you and Percy of course," I said innocently. "Don't you remember that you two have been engaged since age twelve?"

"No we haven't,"said my seaweed brained brother,while his girlfriend concentrated like she was trying to remember something.

"Yes you have," I insisted. "Percy,you threw an apple towards Annabeth." Her breathing hitched. I could tell that she knew what I meant now.

Their reactions were hilarious.

A couple of hours later,I found Violet staring at one of the Athena kids that was knitting. "Hey Violet!"

She looked up immediately. "Sushi." Violet understood what I meant by that word alone. She hopped up to follow me.

As we passed the Hades cabin,I felt Nico's presence on the front porch. "Hey Neeks. We're going to get some sushi. Would you like to come?"

He almost said no,but stopped himself. "You know what? That actually sounds good. Wait up,I'll be right there. And don't call me Neeks."

"You know there's no stopping me,so you're just going to have to deal with it."

Five minutes later,my cousin finally reemerged from his cabin. Even though it was only November,both of my comrades were wearing jackets. Violet had an overlarge sweatshirt, and Nico was wearing a hoodie that was probably black. I can't see,so....

Nico summoned Jules Albert and we took my car. Not the limo,the Lexus.

During the entire ride,Violet pawed at Nico and my hair alternately as I stroked her head. Due to the fact that our chauffeur was a zombie,he didn't find it strange at all. I leaned on Nico, and I'm pretty sure that he smirked instead of blushing like he used to. I guess that he's turned into one of those dark,mysterious bad boys. The kid's got more confident since the war. Pretty soon,the Aphrodite kids will have his admirers lined up at his door in the mornings. It's so unfair that I can't see him.

We ate sushi,Violet took my chopsticks, and Nico stole my coffee when we went to Starbucks afterwards. The was just the kind of day I was having. On top of it all, Violet became extremely hyper due to the amount of caffeine she ingested and the fact that she was already ADHD to begin with. Just great.

Then came the nightmares. I'm an insomniac,so I didn't fall asleep until it was already 5:30 in the morning. And when I did,I regretted it.

In my dreams,I was standing near the deepest part of the underworld. Tartarus.

His horrible voice spoke in my mind. I remember you,little hero. You cannot hide. You will never escape. And when I get ahold of you again,this time I will offer you no choice. Your death will not be as quick as your sister's. You will fight,all in vain. I am waiting.

Immediately,images from my last quest through Tartarus flashed through my mind. It was the last quest that I went through as part of the Omega Trio. Because that's when it all started falling apart.

I relived my sister's death over and over again that night,well,morning. I saw the faces of all those I knew that were killed by monsters of the pit. It was a never ending circle of death and destruction. And I saw it all.

The irony of it all,the unfairness. I was blind,and could never see the world around me, all of the things that I wanted to see. Yet I could see the memories like they were happening right in front of me.I could only see the horror that my life held,the cruelty of the world. Nothing else.
