Infection

Finny's screams seemed to go on for hours as Bardroy waited outside the room that both Sebastian and Ciel were inhabiting. Sebastian had ordered him not to come in and to let him work on Finny in peace. Bardroy agreed. How could he go against an order that the young master did not deny and that Sebastian delivered? But as time passed he could find the barrier he had tried to create between himself and that door seemed to shatter bit by bit. Oh how he wished to comfort the boy in his time of need, but he knew that an order was an order and that Sebastian would not hurt Finny unless the young master gave the ok. And that is the question. Would Ciel agree to do something like that to his first love?... Of course that would be preposterous Ciel was no brute.

Again an ear shattering screech escaped the gardeners lips as Sebastian leaned over him putting a strange substance on the wound that seemed to make it burn like the fires of hell. Ciel tried to put on a brave face and watch, as he tried his best but ended up wincing slightly every time Finny cried out. Sebastian worked away trying to clean the wound to the best of his abilities and, though it took a while, it seemed the green pus that was once surrounding the wound seemed to disappear as the mixture fought whatever bacteria that was attacking the boys fragile body.

Meyrin and Tanaka had gathered by the poor chef. Meyrin wrapped an arm around him whispering soothing words into his ear but he did not believe a single word of them. His negativity was getting the best of him. And though it felt like hours Sebastian had his work done in 50 minutes which was fast even for an experienced doctor.

As Sebastian left the room he beckoned Bard over to him while slipping on his gloves fast, "He's calling for you. Only for you." He gave Meyrin a quick look and she got the message though the look in his eyes made her cower. She must've asked to see the gardener too before this.

"I'll be waiting out here yes I will." She gave Bard a reassuring gaze as he looked at the floor doubtfully. He nodded slightly in response. Was now the time to tell him? He knew Sebastian did his best but what if it wasn't enough? What if Finny died anyway?

'Its now or never.' Bard thought to himself. He would not be able to deal with the regret of never sharing his feelings with the sickly boy if the boy were to die. Entering the room he felt his heart jump as Finny's eyes lit up as he saw him. It was remarkable he was still awake after all that had happened to him but he has always had a strong will.

"I have something a need to tell you." Finnian spoke his voice cracking over each word. It broke Bard's heart each time he saw him this way, but this, by far was even worse than when he originally had gotten the wound. Silence fell over the room and Bard waited patiently for him to continue, waiting for his own turn where he could tell his own little secret. "I-I'm sorry f-for being such a b-brat," He stuttered tears falling down his face. His sobs were pitiful and the more upset he got and the more uneven his breathes the more it hurt him.

"Finny please..." Bard started tears gathering in his own eyes but they never did escape. "I-Its not y-our fault I n-never wanted to hurt you... I think I... Love you." At first finny seemed frozen in shock though you really couldn't tell since he couldn't move his body anyway. While Bardroy stared at the floor he felt a hand leave his own and coil around his neck pulling the cook ever so closer to the gardeners lips.

At first it hurt but as Finny's grip loosened Bard's lips could focus on the task at hand. They gently moved against each other like a wave. Though the cook's lips were rough and more experienced and the gardeners were soft and innocent they seemed to fit perfectly as if they were fire and ice, good and evil, the perfect balance of each. Butterflies filled both boy's stomachs. The kiss was longer than the first but it still left Bardroy craving more, but he could not push the injured boy to do more than what he was capable of at the moment.

"Bard?" Finny asked looking at the cook as the cook stared at the boy smiling softly with just a small blush appearing on his cheeks. It was Finnian's turn to blush in which he did so turning his own face red each time he caught the cook's eyes for a second.

"Yes?" He answered a goofy smile still plastered on his face. One which he did not remember seeing after his first kiss when he was 14. Not a single one past that point had ever made him feel this way. Not even the first one felt as perfect as this.

"I think I love you too"
