This will be an EXTREMELY long chapter...I'm thinking I might take weekends off from writing this fanfic...I'm trying to update ASAP but I'm also working on a Destiel/Sabriel fanfiction called Newborn x2 so please read that if you haven't already. Thanks!
----------------------------------

You were working a few extra hours at the Mystery Shack today since Stan had let you leave early yesterday. You honestly could not stop thinking about Bill back at home and couldn't wait to finish up here. Ever since your kiss you hadn't been getting as nervous around him. That didn't mean you still got butterflies in your stomach every time he talked to you.

"Um, y/n?" A quiet voice said from behind the counter. You looked up from your phone, which you had been using for scrolling through Tumblr between breaks of customers, and saw Dipper standing there, nervously rubbing his left arm with his right hand, baseball hat kind of pulled down over his eyes.

You didn't feel like talking to Dipper. You had tried to ignore him the past two or three days. The anger an overall upset-ness about him making that deal with Bill made you want to ignore your friend forever. Then again you two were best friends and you had to make up sometime. So you crossed your arms over your chest and looked down at him, "What?"

"I just wanted to apologize," Dipper said, "I was a jerk. I shouldn't have made that deal with Bill, that was stupid. I don't know what I was thinking. We're best friends and...I hate you blocking me out like this." He took a deep breath and continued, "I understand if you don't want to forgive me yet or whatever, but please stop ignoring me!" You smiled and hopped off your stool, coming around the counter to stand in front of him. You really weren't that mad anymore. After all, if Dipper hadn't made that deal, you and Bill would have never kissed. Just thinking about that made your heart skip a beat.

"Of course I forgive you, Dipper," You said and he smiled widely. "Wow! Okay! Wow," he kind of laughed in reply, "I did not expect that! I guess I didn't really know how you would react." You smirked. "I'm just that nice," you joked and the two of you laughed. There was a short silence that followed, not awkward nor unusual. It was like a silence of relief that you were finally friends again.

"So how's the citrine stone doing?" Dipper asked, breaking the silence. You pulled the necklace by the string up out from behind your shirt and played with it between your fingertips. "Nothing's happened, which is good. No drastic changes to the forest or anything. I still want to find out who's after it though. The man in the black hoodie looked awfully familiar. I didn't see his face, but something about him..." you trailed off with a sigh. Dipper pulled his journal from the table and began flipping through it. You watched as he got to the last page, shook his head, and snapped it shut. "Nothing," he remarked, "nothing about a man in a black hood. Maybe it's someone we know? Someone who has been associated with the supernatural and magical things before?"

You raised an eyebrow, daring Dipper to say Bill's name. You knew Dipper didn't trust the dream demon at all and thought it was him after the stone. Now that you trusted Bill more than ever, you were positive it wasn't Bill after the citrine stone. "I dunno, Dipper," you said, sighing again. Dipper then said the one thing you hoped he wouldn't say. "Y/n, I know you won't like me saying this, but I think we have to consider Bill Cipher as a suspect," he looked at you with such seriousness in his eyes that you couldn't say anything except, "why?"

"He has the power to take two forms, have a vessel, and mess with people's dreams. He could have split himself in half somehow and took a human body as a vessel, he could have went into somebody's dreams and, I don't know, maybe hypnotized them or something to chase after us and get the stone for him. There are so many possibilities, I'm almost certain it's him," Dipper took your hand and squeezed it. You continued to stare at him blankly. "I don't think we can trust Bill. He only has bad intentions," he added.

"No way," you finally said, shaking your head. You knew it wasn't Bill. "If he was taking the stone and had to use a human vessel, why wouldn't he just go into his own human form?"

"Because that's what he's in now. He knows he'll be stuck as a human for a long time. I'm pretty sure that's why he doesn't stay like that twenty-four seven," Dipper argued. You were getting really pissed off. You didn't want to hear about Bill being guilty, about him being some kind of evil untrustworthy monster. You weren't convinced he was or had ever been "evil." How could he? He was so nice to you, he saved you, Dipper, and Mabel's lives! "He is NOT the one after the stone, Dipper," you said and grabbed your purse. Your shift was already over. You gave him an annoyed bitchface, in the nicest way possible, and left without another word.

Once you got home the moment you opened the door you felt lips touch you cheek, only for a second before they pulled away. You whirled around and saw nobody. Then a laugh from in front of you. "Hey!" You said, rubbing your cheek. But inside you were screaming, heartbeat flipping out.

"It's great having my powers back," Bill winked and then disappeared. You groaned. He could be anywhere! You heard a bang in the kitchen and quickly hung up your jacket and purse and ran to where he was rummaging through the fridge. "What the hell--?" You stared at Bill, who was struggling to open the tab of a cherry soda can top. He finally clicked it open and smiled widely. "Human soda!" He pronounced, holding it in the air like a trophy, "I'm gonna drink it like a human!" You watched as he proceeded to pour the drink all over his face, hardly getting any in his mouth. You rolled your eyes and got a towel, beginning to clean up the floor. "Sorry," Bill mumbled and tossed the can into the trash can. He got down on his hands and knees and helped you clean. Then he sat in the kitchen chair and you rubbed the sticky soda off of his face. He scrunched up his nose the moment you put the cloth to his face. This might be harder than expected. Unless....

You reached up and started rubbing his hair. He immediately relaxed and you were able to successfully get all the soda off his chin and cheeks. "Thanks," he mumbled and you giggled. "You have it all over your clothes," you pointed out and he sighed roughly. "I have some clothes in my closet that might fit you," you offered, trying to think. You were almost positive you had some old clothes from your male cousin for some reason. "Thanks, be right back," he smiled and disappeared. You went into the living room and sat on the couch, trying to get comfortable.

Not even minutes later he reappeared by you. He was wearing a black t-shirt and dark grey sweatpants. Yup, definetely your cousin's hand-me-down clothes. "Nice," you smiled sweetly and he sat cross-legged next to you. You sat there with him for a while, watching TV and talking about your days. Bill had apparently been really bored while you were gone and had attempted to read some of your books, but it was "not very entertaining" since he knew all the endings already. You explained how your day at the Mystery Shack went. You hung out with Wendy, baked cookies with Mabel, worked the cash register, helped Soos fix a leak in the kitchen plumbing, and help Stan with crowd control on the tour guide. You began telling him about you and Dipper's conversation but stopped right as you got to the part where Dipper was accusing Bill of wanting the stone. After you finished Bill went kind of quiet. The two of you watched a film together before you headed off to bed. Bill kissded your forehead and no sooner than you had brushed your teeth and laid down did you fall asleep and dive deep into some of the best, most vivid dreams you had had in a long time.

(this section kind of from Bill's POV)

Bill had given y/n good dreams so you wouldn't wake up and notice when he left the apartmet. He had some stuff to settle with Dipper Pines, and he had the feeling the boy wanted to talk to him.

He entered Dipper's dreams and as soon as they were in the black, grey, and white world of the dreamscape Dipper began yelling at him. "You broke our deal!" He shouted, "you weren't supposed to talk to her! I gave you a page of the journal!" He clenched his fists and added, "I know you're after the stone, Bill."

"My, my, my, a little angry are we? Listen Pine Tree, I didn't break the deal," Bill shot back, "I said if y/n called the deal off it was off. And how could she have the choice to call it off if she never knew it was on?" He raised an eyebrow at Dipper and made his cane appear, resting his elbows against the curved top of it.

"Where did you get those clothes?" Dipper suddenly asked, his turn to raise an eyebrow at Bill's outfit. It was far from the usual suit and bowtie that Bill wore. It went from dapper to somewhat casual in sweatpants and a t-shirt. Bill smirked and winked at him. "I didn't have any clean clothes after the...incident, so y/n gave me some."

Bill mentally high-fived himself as he could almost see the steam boiling out of Dipper's ears like a cartoon character's would. "Shut up!" Dipper yelled, "leave her alone! I swear I will kill you one day, Cipher."

"Oh, but you can't," Bill interjected, reappearing at Dipper's side and as he snapped and glowing blue chain appeared wrapped around Dipper, Bill holding the end. "Don't know if you knew this kid, but ever since you played as my little puppet way back when, youre connected to me. It's like a bond, you could say. I still control you in a way. Pine Tree, we're still binded from when you became my vessel. You're not doing anything!" He leaned over and put his mouth to Dipper's ear, whispering in a creepy, chilling manner, "stay away from y/n. She's mine, kid."

Then with a flash Dipper was back to reality, sleeping in his bed, and Bill was back at the apartment, ready to try to get some sleep before the big day tomorrow, when Bill would ask y/n on a date.
