Chapter 3
It’s been a full week and no letter from Meaghan. I hope I never said anything to hurt her feelings! I wouldn’t want to do that. She is a really nice girl! And I honestly can’t wait to meet her in person! She just has to tell me the date and then I’m all her’s. Just me and her, meeting each other. I imagine her with long brown hair, brown puppy eyes similar to Liam. I smiled. I can’t wait to meet her! I can already feel a connection between us. The weird thing is, is that we are only writing to each other. So how can I feel something when I never seen her before? Maybe I have. Meaghan doesn’t have to be her real name right? It could be something like, Bella or Carly! Nah! I think its Meaghan.
I whistled as I was walking in the cool weather out in London. I’ve been doing this a lot. Just walking from my flat to the post office just to see if a certain person sent me a certain something. I opened the door and smiled as the warm air inside hit me. I walked up to the desk. The lady working there, Deb, instantly recognized me. She smiled at me.
“Here for a letter again?” She asked. I chuckled and nodded my head. She turned and went to the back. Deb is a very nice lady. She is around in her thirties, with brown curly hair and hazel coloured eyes. When she came back, she was still smiling but hand paper in her hands. She handed me the paper as I read the familiar writing. Meaghan. I smiled.
“Thanks Deb!” I said and waved good-bye to her before leaving. I smiled and ran back to the flat happily. I opened the door and went inside. I closed the door behind me and toed off my shoes, then took off my coat and beanie. I sat beside Liam on the couch. He was watching football.
“Meaghan?” He asked me.
“Yes!” I exclaimed happily as I opened the envelope. I took the paper out and unfolded it. I took a sniff of the paper. Yup, the pretty smell is there! Then I read.
Dear Niall
I’m sorry I never wrote to you. My dad died from a heart attack, so life even got harder for me. Now it’s just my mum and me. I’m just thinking of a good day for us to meet. Its hard having your father gone, getting bullied again, getting kicked out of your apartment and getting fired. I’m surprised that you like to write back. Even more surprised that you like to read my letters. I’m starting to really think of stopping. I’ve been a bugger. I know I have. This might be my last letter for a while. Life is getting shitty and it’s getting to me. I’m sorry Niall.
From Meaghan Kyle
I frowned. Her father died? That is horrible! And why would she think she’s a bugger? She is not a bugger! And I really hope this isn’t her last letter. I love her letters! I really want to meet her so I can give her I tight hug and never let go.
