Chapter Five
"What are you doing?" Gina, Lisa's best friend called out to her as she saw her walk to her locker. Lisa shrugged, trying to look as unsuspicious as possible. "Stopping at my locker?" Gina narrowed her eyes at her friend, most definitely finding her suspicious. "You never stop at your locker."
Lisa hadn't told anyone, even Gina - her most bestest friend - about the letters. There was something incredibly exciting about no one else knowing about her and her charming stranger, and she wanted to keep it that way. "Well I am today. Just... Awe, c'mon Gina! I'll meet you in class okay?" Gina just shook her head at Lisa's weird behavior and went to class, deciding it was probably best to just leave Lisa to whatever weird act she was committing at her never-visited locker.
As soon as Lisa saw her best friend turn the corner she yanked her locker open, catching a brown envelope before it could flutter to the ground. Lisa was so excited to see the letter that she spun in a little circle at her locker, an uncontrollable chuckle falling from her lips.
Once Lisa got herself under control with a few deep breaths, she turned the letter to it's back. On the flap LOCKER 2422 was written in slanted, messy handwriting. It was getting more personal and even more permanent and she loved it. Of course, this revelation made her do another spinning happy dance.
She finally opened the letter, giddy with joy.
Dimples
First things first, I'm not writing 'dear' with your name. It just doesn't sound right. Doesn't mean that I don't feel the dear, you just aren't gonna see it.
And, I know you said anonymous, but I thought that I should at least let you know, I am indeed a guy, so don't beat yourself up or quote Justin Bieber lyrics about it.
Now, about this whole situation with Leo. Maybe you should turn that down a bit. Just a little, you know? It's a bit weird to be reading about him when I can just talk to him. It's great that you're in love or whatever, but- and remember, I mean this dearly- keep it to yourself.
I know this will break your heart quite a bit, but our lockers aren't right next to each other. That would have been convenient though.
I have to end this now because the high school love of your life is currently whipping paper balls, trying to get my attention.
You should use this name, J
* Can we please change your nickname? It feels awkward to write it.
Lisa shook her head in amusement. Yeah, he was definitely a boy. Looking at the time on her phone, Lisa cursed to herself and ran to class before the bell could ring and mark her tardy.
