Chapter 7: Seto
"I hate horror maps..." Said seto.
"Don't worry, seto I'll protect you" said bodil, trying to rise his spirits.
Seto smiled a bit but was still creeped out.
Why did I agree to this....? Seto thought horror is NOT my thing....
"Should we split up?" Bodil suggested.
"No, no and no" said Seto immediately "I have a bad feeling about this. Horror is never the thing to split up at"
"Ok whatever you say mom" said bodil
Ian laughed a bit. Seto didn't find it so funny.
So, the headed off into the mansion. Seto looked around at the old-ish building. He looked at all the clocks and wondered why there were so many. It was 12: 12
Bodil kept making stupid jokes that made things worse for Seto.
"Bodil, could you stop? I'm trying to concentrate..." Said Seto with irritation in his voice.
"Why mom?" Bodil snickered.
Seto was not laughing.
"Come on Seto" said Ian "he's Bodil, you should know this"
"I know..." Seto said to Ian "but still...jokes don't make things better in horror maps..."
"I can hear you, ya know" said Bodil.
"I don't care, ya know" said seto, getting more frustrated.
"Guys...stop fighting" said Ian "we have to get through this together..."
"Ok dad" said bodil, giggling under his breath.
Ian sighed and rolled his eyes.
"Now I'm starting to think we should split up. At least it would be quieter" said seto, crossing his arms.
"Ok, then we will" said bodil. "Ian, you can come with me"
"Hey! W-what? No! I'm not on anyone's side! If were splitting up we might as well do it separate." Said Ian, starting to get annoyed.
After that statement, the darkness got darker and they couldn't see a thing.
"W-what's going on...?" Said seto
All if a sudden they heard Ian scream.
"Ian!" Bodil and seto shouted.
"It's all your fault!" Said Bodil to Seto.
"How is it my fault?!" Said seto.
All of a sudden something grabbed him and he was pulled away, hearing bodils voice in the background.
He woke up somewhere else completely. He was in a small room with a chair, a table and a small bookcase. There was another clock on the wall.
He stood up. The room wasn't as dark as it was when he was taken away. He was kinda glad he was taken. He couldn't stand the fighting or bodils annoyance. But he also remebers what he said earlier. That he didn't want to split up for a reason, this WAS a horror map. Be suddenly felt really guilty. He said down in the chair with his hands on his face.
Oh my god...he thought. Something could happen to either one of them...maybe Bodil was right...it is my fault...
He sat there for a long time. Every so often he looked up at the clock. Sometimes he just stared at it. 12: 20, 12:30, 12: 35.
He took a book out from the shelf. It was a book that was purple and had a shiny gold lining all around it. The was a small bloodstain on it.
He opened the book and almost froze when he saw what the first page was labled.
The book was labeled death times. There were numbers that went up to 12. There was one name by one. It's simply said "Mitch". Was it Mitch from the BajanCanadian? Or some other Mitch? It gave no detail so he didn't know.
One o' clock was when this Mitch was going to die. Seto couldn't do anything about it. He flipped the other pages, but they were all blank.
He closed the book and held onto it. It might be important. He continued to watch the clock until it finally hit 1. He knew this Mitch would be dead soon.
About 10 minutes later he was tired of sitting. He got up and decided to look for he two friends that he got separated from. He held onto the boom and took it with him as he left. He walked around looking for them when he came across something in the distance. He got closer to it and saw it was the BajanCanadian or as he goes by his real name, Mitch.
Seto couldn't believe it. How did this book know? Mitch was dead, he could feel, smell, and see it, but he could respawn, right? If he died at one he would've respawned by now unless he really was dead. Was the book planed? That was his only assumption.
He walked around Mitch's body, feeling bad for him. But, what was Mitch doing here? Were there more people than just him, Ian, and Bodil? He sure didn't know.
He found a candle not I far from where he found Mitch. He picked it up and lit it with the lighter that was sitting next to it. When the candle illuminated, he could see stairs in the distance. He walked over to them, wondering if he should go up or not.
He decided to since Ian and bodil could be anywhere and they must have seen the stairs too right? Besides, he saw some footprints in the dust.
They must be up here...he thought.
He looked at a clock. 1:30. He then headed up the stairs to the top.
When he got to the top it was no different from the bottom. Everything was the same. He looked for a clock and something caught his eye. There was a little kid who was painting a spot on the clock red. Right next to one o' clock.
Seto walked slowly over to the kid. It was hard to see him, but as he got closer, he could see him in more detail.
"H-hello...?" He said.
The kid jumped in surprised then turned around to face seto.
"S-seto! What are you doing?! You not supposed to see me! No one is" the kid said. He was definitely a boy about the age of seven. He had short messy dark hair with bright blue eyes. His clothing were a bit tattered and he was wearing no shoes.
Seto was shocked. This boy knew his name. "H-how do you?..." He started
"Your name? I just do. I know everyone who's here" he cut him off.
"So...who are you? And what are you doing?" Seto asked.
The boy looked nervous. "Well...I don't really have a name...my master just calls me Clock Child but I guess you could call me Clocky." He said "Oops! I wasn't supposed to say that!!"
Seto smiled. "Well, it's nice to meet you Clocky. Why weren't you suppose to tell me?"
"Because nobody is...I'm just a helper...well...the only one. I'm I charge of the clocks because of my name." Said Clocky, looking around and not directly at Seto.
"So what are you doing?" Asked Seto.
The boy suddenly grabbed his hand and took him into a room and shut the door. Seto was surprised.
"We can't talk out there. It's safer here. So...well...I was painting the one red because someone died. My master told me too." Said Clocky.
Seto remembered Mitch's body. "Was it Mitch who died?" Seto asked.
"Y-yes..." Replied Clocky "I-I...h-had...t-to...kill....him..."
Seto stood there staring at him. "You killed him? But you seem so nice. Why would you do that?"
Clocky took a while to answer. "My master forced me...I don't want to...but he'll kill me if I do..."
"Who's your master?" Seto demanded.
"He never said..." Clocky said. "I would tell you...but I don't...I'm sorry.."
"It's ok" said Seto, not mad at him at all. "I could help you, if you help me."
"R-really??" Said Clocky looking surprised. He seemed to have never had someone be this nice to him.
Seto nodded and smiled. Clocky ran up to him and have him a big hug.
"Thank you, Seto!" He said. Seto hugged him back. He likes this kid.
When he let go, Clocky looked at the clock. "I'm sorry Seto. Well talk some other time. I have to go. It's almost 2 o' clock."
Seto looked at the clock. There were 10 minutes left till 2. "No! You don't have to go! Don't kill anyone."
"Im sorry Seto. I have to." And with that, Clocky disappeared into thin air, leaving Seto alone. Again.
Seto quickly took out his book and opens it. A new name appeared next to the 2. It was one of his best friends.
Seto rushed out of the room, leaving the door open behind him and ran through the hallways trying to find him and warn him, but he never found anyone. He was too late. He couldn't do anything about it.
