Rob up there

Rob POV

  "Who would've thought that we would run into the people that were basically the source of insecurities?" Derrick said as we walked. "Small world but I have a bad feeling about this." I said before sighing. "Hey, hey you not about to do that. You got me. I'm right here. If something does happen, I got you. You know this." he said as he kissed me. "I know bu-" "What I say? No buts. Unless it's yours riding my face." he said as I bust out laughing. He play too damn much. "There we go. I made you laugh. Mission accomplished." he said smiling. 

"I love you so much." I said as I hugged him. "If you loved me, you would've kissed me." he laughed. I gave him what he asked for. I didn't even feel him pick me up and walk me over to a nearby ledge. "You are so damn slick." I said as he laughed. "You love it though." he said as I smiled. He didn't lie though. I really do like that shit. "C'mere" I said kissing him. "You taste so good." he said in between pecks. He finally stopped and looked at me. "What?" I said with my eyebrow raised. Had me thinking I really just did something wrong. 

  "Um I've been thinking about this for a minute." he started off. If this is bad news, a certain someone is catching this fade. "It better not be-" "Nah it's not babe chill." he said with a smile. " I just wanted to aske if you wanted to move in with me. I know it might be to early for mem to ask-" "Yes." I said smiling at him. U guess I caught him off guard because he still kept going. I just smiled at him. He's so handsome when he nervous. "Wait did you just say yes?" he asked when he finally realized my answer. I just nodded my head. "I love you so much." he said as he smothered me in kisses. I just laughed the entire time. "You look so amazing right now." he said as he stared at me. 

  Where we were sitting at, the sun was directly on me, causing my skin to glow just a little. While I was attractive, I was also hot as shit. "Thank you." I said as I pulled him in for a kiss. "I'm hungry." he mumbled against my lips. Something about his voice vibrating against my lips turned me on but I'm not gonna do this now. "What you want to eat?" I asked as I pulled back from him. "I don't anything to be honest. I really haven't been to the resturants around here so let's just look for one near us." he said as he pulled his phone. "While you're doing that, can we move from the sun? My face is kinda melting here." I said as he laughed at me. 

  "Hold on. Lemme get this picture." he said as he turned his camera on me. He took like 6 pictures, the last one being the best as the sun reflected off my eyes, highlighting them brown orbs I've been blessed with.  "Keeping that as my home screen." he said smiling to himself as I moved my half baked ass from the sun. I'm sure I'm a crisp golden brown now. "I found a nice place. Do you have specific dish in mind?" he asked me. "Oooooo Do they have teriyaki salmon? I've been craving that for months now!" I said hype as hell (A/N: Dead ass been craving this. Shout out to my cousin for satisfying that craving). "Yes they do. It's not expensive either." he said as I smiled. Look at God, out here blessing me. 

  I dusted myself off before standing in front of him. "You ready?" I asked as he laughed. "You mad greedy yo." he said as started to walk. "You love my greedy ass though so hush." I as I laughed. "I sure do." he said grabbed my ass. "You're a perv." I glared at him. "You know you liked it so shut up." he said. What did I do? I shut my ass right on up. "You a fool." he said as I laughed. Once we made it to the restaurant, he politely pulled out my chair. "Thank you." I said blushing. I forgot he said he isn't scared to show me off. "What's wrong? Why do you look so nervous?" he asked as he sat down. "Oh....nothing." I said sounding made nervous. I don't know what it is but something was getting to me. 

  "Look, I told you earlier, I'll show you off every chance I get. Even if it's the small things like that." he said smiling at me. "I don't deserve you sometimes." I said. "Yes you do. Shut up."he smiled at me. The waiter came and took our orders while we just stared at each other. "What?" I said laughing. "You just look so damn good. I can't admire what's mine?" he said with a sight head tilt. "Admire away baby boy. It's all yours anyway." I smiled at him. "That's what I want to hear." he said back. He's so cute lol. I was about to say something when the waiter came back with our food. We blessed our food before eating. "Can I have some?" I said looking at his food. 

  "You got a whole plate, go  ahead fat ass." he said as I laughed. I ate some of his food as he just licked his lips at me. "Stop." I said blushing. Only he can do this to me. We finished eating our food before deciding to go. Is it weird that for the first time, I didn't want dessert? Whatever. The ride home was nice and calm (We caught a lyft because I wasn't in the mood to walk). "We should do this more often." he said as I nodded my head. I really didn't have anything to say to be honest. Not fore a bad reason though. For once in my life, I was happy with the way things were going. I was snapped out of my thoughts by him carrying me to the house. 

  "I got your attention now huh?" he said as I laughed. "Shut up." I smiled as he pulled his keys out. Once he got the door opened, he carried me to the chair. "I really love you Rob." he said as he kissed my cheek. "I love you too big head." I said as I actually kissed him. For the rest of the night, I just played in his beard while he watched TV. Married couple type time. 

 A Month Later. 

Derrick POV    

  It's been a month since that whole thing with our ex's happened. You know how some ex's want to get back with you after they see that you're in a bomb ass relationship? Well, that's been happening to us but I made a promise to myself to never regress and keep moving forward so I cut her off the strong way. I can say the same for Rob since I'm all that he talks about lol. Right now however, I'm on my way to the jeweler. I got one more surprise for Rob. "You think he's gonna like it?" my cousin asked me. "I hope so. I want to say yea but it's Rob. He's unpredictable." I sighed. It's one of the things I like and dislike about him. 

 "Hopefully he does though. I've been upgrading this thing for the last few months." I said. Yup you heard right. I been planning this for a min. Upgrading/ changing the color of this shit every time. I just want things to be perfect. I bought the ring and walked to the next store. "That shit is beautiful. Damn." my cousin said as we walked to the next store. "Man, I'm nervous as shit." I said as we walked into the store. I copped a pair of sneakers before getting me and him something to eat. "So when you gonna ask him?" he asked me as we walked towards the exit. "Sometime soon, I don't know just yet." I sighed. This shit is making me mad nervous. 

  "Well look, you got this cousin. My future cousin in law is gonna be so happy. Just keep me posted." he said as he dapped me up. I sighed before going my ow separate way. "I hope he likes it too." I said as I pulled out the parking lot. 

Rob POV

  "You got that relationship glow! I see you!" Alexis said as I laughed. "Yo shut up. Awww man." I said with a blush. "I can't lie, these past few weeks with Derrick have been nothing but good. Minus that shit with our exes and Troy." I said. When I told her about the run in with Tiff and Darrion, it took damn near everything in my to stop her from beating her ass again. "That's true but I'm glad you're genuinely happy.  It's been a long time coming but I so happy for you Rob." she said on the verge of tears. "Lex stop." I said choking on my own words. 

  "You found a man who loves you for you and unconditionally at that. Yeah y'all had issues and allat but you two are still together. I'm so happy that you aren't hung up over a dumb as nigga and you've actually leveled up to a real one." she said as I started crying. Only she knows how hard it's been for me relationship wise. "Now you got me crying." I said wiping away these happy tears. "You deserve it all. Besides, I can't be the only one enjoying this relationship glow. " she said smiling as she wiped her face. "That is true. I needs some of that." I laughed with her. After we cleaned ourselves up, we just chilled and watched TV before my phone rung. 

  "Yes baby father." I said answering the phone. "You having my kids. Oh word." he said all husky as I laughed. "What's up?" I said to him. "You want to go out tonight?" he said as Alexis nodded her head yeah. "Yeah we can do that. Any place you had in mind?" I asked him. "Nah it's whatever you want to do. What's up Lex?" he said as I glared at her. "Hi Derrick!" she said all hype. Ugly ass. "Y'all joe. Gimme my friend back." I said to him as he laughed. "Get ready in fifteen." he said as I looked at him like he was crazy. "More like a half but ight." I said as I quickly hung up. "Go." I said to Alexis as she got up and went to her place. I got up and went to take a shower. 

  Once I was done, I got dressed. Well halfway dressed before I felt someone press m body against the bed. "You smell so good baby." Derrick said. I instantly calmed down when I heard that voice. "That was almost your ass. You play too much." I said as I turned around and kissed him. "You love it though." he said as I didn't say anything back. Hate that he knows me like that. "Lemme get dress." I said as he stared into my eyes. "What if I want to undress you though?" he said as I saw the lust starting to form in them. "Boy move." I said as I pushed him off me. "You foul." he said as he pouted. "Later." I said as I sat in his lap while putting my shirt on. 

  "Bet." he said as he kissed my neck. "Those pant's?" I said pointing to the jeans I was planning on wearing. "Yeah hey cool. You didn't need my help since you can already dress yourself." he said smiling. Listen, just wanted his approval. I got up from his lap and put them on along with my sneakers. I was walking to the door as I was once again pinned up against it. "You're making this hard for me baby. God damn." he said in my ear while kissing my spot. "St-ttt-oooopp. Derrick!" I semi moaned. "Just like that baby. Say it just like that." he continued. His hands started sliding in my pants as I finally caught myself. "No! You're not about to do that." I said pushing him off of me. 

  "Damn. Almost had you. Ight Ight we going." he said laughing. Ain't shit funny, I'm all hot and bothered now. I shouldn't have stopped him. I knocked on Alexis' door as she came out. "Aww shit now! Looking A1 as always." I said as I hugged her. "Where's bae?" i asked her. "He'll meet us there. Let's go ugly." she said as she closed the door. As we were driving, Ty Dolla $ign's In You Phone with Lauren Jauregui started playing. "You're always in your phone, I feel you do me wrong." I sung as my baby continued to drive. "Ooooh can we stop past the store real quick?" I need something fast to eat." I asked him as he nodded his head. "Don't turn that off." I said as I got out the car.

  I grabbed a few things before heading back out. The song was still playing as I decided to turn up and walk. "  Chic-chic boom, too many problems. You been doomed, too many wild thoughts. Yeah, sometimes you a challenge. I wanna even the score, I want madness." I sung with them as Derrick slowly followed me with the car. "Aye go best friend!" Alexis said as she recorded me. Derrick just smirked at me the entire time. "Chick chicks on you, too many of them. When I'm in the room, I feel the eyes on me." I said as the stopped, making Derrick stop as well. I walked over to him and kissed him. "I love you." I said to him. "I love you too baby." he smiled. I got back in the car as we continued to go to our destination. 

  Turns out we were going to a barbecue party. Aye free food! Derricks friend was hosting so he was able to get us in early. When we made it there, I saw Alexis' man waiting for us. I greeted him as we walked in. The place was jumping. "Wassup Malik." Derrick said as he made his way over to him. "Aye you made it bro! You brought bae too. Aye. Wassup Rob?" he said as I smiled. "Wassup Malik. I didn't know this was your party." I said as he nodded his head. "Yup decided to celebrate something small. Glad y'all made it." he said as he greeted Lex and her dude. "Y'all enjoy yourselves tonight." he said before going to greet other people. "Our first party as a couple." Derrick whispered in my ear. 

  G - Eazy's No Limit started playing as me and Alexis looked at each other.  "Let's go." I mouthed to her. "If I hit it one time, I'ma pipe her. If I hit it two times then I like her. If I fuck three times I'ma wife her" we rapped as we turned up. "Fuck with me and get some money." I sung as my baby's arms wrapped around me. "It ain't safe, it ain't safe, it ain't, it ain't safe." he rapped as he danced with me. We kept dancing through like 3 songs before I got hungry. "I got you kid. Just wait right here for me." he said as he disappeared. I just played on my phone while I waited for him to come back. "I didn't know what you wanted so I just got everything. I got a lot the seafood salad since I heard the shit was bomb." he said kissing me as he sat the plate on the table behind me.

  "Thank you big head." "You're welcome handsome." he said as he kissed me. "I gotta eat." I said as my hand never left from his neck and his from my waist. "Then let me go and go eat." he laughed. "I don't want to though." I said kissing him. "Babe go eat." he said as he pushed me. I turned around and saw that he really did get me everything, I'm not complaining though, i'm about to fuck it up anyway. We said our quick prayer before tearing the food up. "Well damn, ya'll wasn't playing no games. How was the salad?" Malik asked us. "That shit was bomb! Was that lobster in there?" I asked as he nodded his head yes. "Thank you. Made it myself. 3 pans of it and it looks like thought it out well since it's going so fast." he said as he handed us our drinks.

  "Thank you so much." I said to him. "No problem. Let me know when y'all are leaving so I can give y'all some more from my stash." he said as we nodded our heads. We went back to demolishing our food. He had some sanitizing napkins that he handed me once we was done. "That was soo good" I said as I threw our plates in the trash. "Yeah my boy can go ham in the kitchen. Learned that the first week I moved out here." he said as I stared at him. "Ready to go?" he asked me. "Not yet. Gimme a few more minutes." I said as I started dancing. 

6 songs later....    

  I was now ready to go. Alexis already told me that she was leaving with her dud so we didn't have to worry about her. "Lemme let Lik know we leaving. He said as I waited for him to come back. When he came back, he had two platters in his hands. "Here you go. He said it was nice meeting you too." he said as he handed me mine. I smiled as we continued to the car. "Didn't expect to see y'all here." a voice said. I turned around to see the last person I wanted to see. "Hi Troy." I said as I looked at Derrick. I could see he was fuming. I took the platter from him and stood in front of him.

  His hands latched on to my waist. "Wassup. I just wanted to apologize for the way I acted towards the both of you. I apologize for all of the drama I may have caused. It's just that Rob, you're such an amazing person and I really wanted to that one for you." he said. He said some other stuff but I really wasn't paying any attention to it. Once he finished, I started to speak. "I understand that Troy but I'm just not that into you. You have too much baggage even for me and I don't want any parts of that. I would suggest you work on yourself first before you try date someone. We could probably be frie- ouch." I said as Derricks grip got tighter. 

  "We can be cool but that's about it." I said. "That's fine too. I just wanted to apologize to y'all. Have a good night. Derrick you got a good one." he said as he walked away. Derrick didn't say anything back though. This man was literally about to crush my hips. "Let me go." I said struggling to get out of his grip. "Derrick!" I yelled as he came to his sense and released me. "Shit!" I said rubbing the spot he was holding. "Damn. Did I hurt you?" he said as he caressed the same spot. "Just take me home." I said as I continued walking to the car. "Baby I'm sorry but I was trying to avoid fucking that nigga up." he said as he sighed.

  "You did good baby." I said as I kissed him. I wanted to be mad at him but it really wasn't any point. The ride home was silent. Neither one of us really said anything to each other. "Thank you for the ride. I had a really good time." I smiled at him as I got out the car. "No invite?" he said as I shook my head no. "Not tonight. I call you later." I said as I grabbed my platter and got out. "You mad at me?" he said as I shook my head no. "I'll call you." I said as I walked to my house. Yeah I moved in with him but I still have my own place. I didn't even look back as I walked through the door. Man I'm tired. 

 The Next Day.  

  I was still tired from yesterday but I decided to pay my big head a visit. I really wasn't mad at him last night even though it looked I might have been. When I pulled up, he was standing on the step like:  

 Let me hurry up and park my damn car. I quickly parked that bitch and ran straight to him. Didn't give that nigga no time to say anything else before I kissed him. He picked me up and carried me right in the house. "Damn you." I said as he laughed. "At least now I know you not made at me." he laughed. "Shut up and come here." I said as I pulled him to me. "Hold on baby. We got somewhere to be." he said as I looked at him confused. "What you didn't tell me this last night." I said as I kissed him. "I just got word of it today." he said as he kissed my neck. 

  "Can we at least get a quickie in because god damn." I said as I bit my bottom lip. "I should be saying the same to you. I guess we could be a few minutes late." he said as he took my shirt off. 

 About an hour later.... (Y'all can fight me later)

  I know I said quickie but that shit went over both of our heads. He was just looking to damn good. I guess he felt the same way because I have hickies all over my stomach. "My bad baby. I lose control when I'm with you." he said as I smiled at him. "It's OK. That makes two of us." I laughed. We quickly got dressed before heading out the door. "Hold on bae, I left my phone in the house." he said as he walked back in the house. "Ard now we good." he said as he came back and locked the door. The whole time he drove, he wouldn't tell me where we was going except that it was nice. 

  Ugh that wasn't helpful whatsoever. I just stared out the window as he drove. "Don't worry baby." he said as he grabbed my hand. I just sighed as he drove. We finally pulled up to this nice ass restaurant. "Oooooo" I said as I got out the car. "This place is called Jukai." Derrick said as he grabbed my hand. We walked into the building as the waitress guided us to our tables. I found it weird that she didn't ask who we were but ight. I noticed that most of our family and friends were here too. OK, what's going on? "Babe sit down." Derrick laughed as I was still standing. The waitress took our orders while everyone else began to socialize. 

  "Thank you for the to go platters Malik." I said as he nodded his head. "It was no problem really. I'm just happy y'all showed up." he said as I smiled. I turned around to Derrick to see him just smiling at me. I just returned the smile as I waited for the waiter to come back. When she finally came back, I demolished that damn food. "Babe you was real hungry huh?" Derrick said as he laughed. "Yeah since you....nevermind." I said as he laughed. "Yup" he laughed. He already knew what I was gong to say. Once we finished eating, I went to mingle with everyone. "I'm so happy to see you genuinely smiling." my mom said as I hugged her. "Thank you." was all I could say. 

  I was interrupted by someone clearing their throat. I turned around to see Derrick on one knee. My heart dropped. "Rob we've been talking for some time now and I'm grateful to call you mine. I'm also thankful that you have allowed me to show you what genuine love is. Every time I'm with, I can't help but to thank god for you. I love you soo much that me just saying it isn't enough." he said as he opened up a box, revealing this beautiful ring:                 

  "Oh my god." I said with hand over my mouth. "This isn't the ring just yet, More a promise ring. Promise me that in two months, you'll still be mine and that you'll actually say yes. Promise me that you'll allow me to continue to shower you in nothing but love and affection. Can you do that for me?" he asked as it felt like time slowed down. Nobody else in this room mattered but him. I stared at him. This fine ass man wants to eventually marry me. I'm at a lost for words. I mean yes I've always dreamed of getting married so getting this close to it was.....damn!

  "Yes." I said through tears as everyone cheered. He slid the ring on my finger. Perfect fit. I couldn't do anything else but cry in his arms. "I love you so much." he whispered in my ear. Nothing else mattered to me except him and this moment right here.  When we finally broke apart, he wiped the tears from my face. I turned around and saw my mom and Alexis both crying. "This is what happens when you let go and let someone in." my mom said through tears. I hugged her. "I love you." I said as I kissed her cheek. "Go and talk to your future son in law." I said as she smiled at me. I went to Alexis next. 

  "You deserve it all baby! I'm so happy for you. We've come so far. Now look at you!" she said as she hugged me so tight. I noticed her finger. "Wait a min. What's this?" I asked looking at the rock. "Yup. He proposed to me last night. I was confused as to why he was so persistent on me leaving me with him. Guess I got my answer." she smiled as I cried again. "Welcome to the club baby!" she said as still hugged me. "Awwwww. Oh my god. I'm mad he ain't take me with y'all i wanted to see this." I said as she laughed. "It's OK, you'll be in the wedding so there's that but this isn't about me now. It's all about you." she said dancing with me. 

 We danced for a good minute before I noticed my phone wasn't with me. "Babe can I have the keys? I need to get my phone." I said as he nodded before handing them to me. "Anything for you baby." he said as I kissed him. I jogged out to the car to and literally searched the damn thing before actually finding my phone in the glove box. "There you are." I said as I closed the door. I admired my ring as I walked back. "Damn I forgot the keys." I said as I jogged back. Luckily I didn't lock the door. I grabbed them before closing the door and walking back. 

  "Almost forgot about the alarm." I said as I stopped for a minute to activate it. I turned around to go back in the building but it was too late. 

Everything went black....
