Rob POV

  "Derrick get up." I said as I came from the bathroom and started getting dressed. He didn't move. "Get up." I said as I poked him. "Five more minutes babe. I promise I'll get up then." he groaned as I stared at him. I don't know if I should light a fire under his as or just admire him. I chose the latter. "I'm not playing ugly." I said as I walked out the room. I went to grab a bowl of cereal as I thought about what happened this weekend. I GOT MY MOTHERFUCKING MAN BACK! "Aye, aye, new bae, aye, aye" I sung as I danced towards the cabinets to get my bowl. "Please tell me they have cinnamon toast crunch here." I said aloud as I scanned the top of the refrigerator. 

  "Thank you Jesus." I said as I found the box. I grabbed the milk and made my way to the island. I inspected the milk just to make sure it wasn't past date. What, I know I'm not the only one who does this. I sat down and ate my cereal, with random songs playing in my head. "I love you, I love you,  I love you. Hey hey, so don't break my heart." I sung aloud as I danced. The next song that came on after that was Stay Ready (What A Life) by Jhene Aiko. "That's why I stay ready" I sung as I finished the last bit of my cereal. Head-dora was popping this morning, playing all the hits. I washed the dishes out as I returned the cereal back on the fridge. I was interrupted from my mini concert when my phone rung. 

  "Hello?" I answered. "You seem happy this morning. I'm assuming your search was successful then?' she asked as I smiled. "You would be correct." I said smiling again. "Which means my search is also successful. Disappear like that and I will kill you." she said as I sighed. She was definitely serious. "Had me searching high and low for your ass. I even went to Darrion's house." she said as I damn near choked on the little bits of my cereal. "You did what?" I asked, still coughing. "Yup. Nobody knew where you were so desperate times call for desperate measures." she said as I stared at my phone. "I wouldn't go back to that nigga if the stock prices fell, the great depression happened. Hell, if we only two niggas left on the planet." "Well damn." she said as she laughed. 

  "You really just tried to play me. Just that quick."  I said as she still laughed. "Nigga next time, tell me when your are going on a search mission. Where is ugly anyway?" she asked as I was just reminded. "Upstairs sleep, matter of fact Lex, I'll talk to you when I get home. I gotta get his ass up." I said as I hung up. This nigga thinks he slick. "Derrick get yo ass up-" I said as I walked into t the room. Bed made up and everything, he better not had left me. "You looking for me?" I heard him say as I turned around:  

  Whew Jesus!! "Good Morning handsome." he said as he wrapped his arms around me and kissed me. I honestly didn't want him to let me go. I'm guessing he go the memo because he hasn't stopped kissing me nor has he released me. "Uh uh. No." I said as I moved away from him. "Come here Rob." he said as he pulled me back to him. "Derrick stop. We have to go." I said as he kept kissing on my neck. Aww shit my legs are gonna give out soon. "We don't have to go anywhere. We can stay riiiiggghhhtt here." he said as he kept kissing my neck. Given how sexy he was looking right now, that definitely was a fact. Come on willpower, don't fail me now.

 "No babe we have to leave. No that Alexis knows, she's definitely gonna kill us if we aren't home. TODAY." I said. I had to emphasize that because she hates when I don't come through on my word. "Man she lucky I love her and I wanna see you in the morning." he said sucking his teeth as he let me go. He knew better. I looked down to see his shorts was starting to tent, thank you Alexis! He threw on a jersey and his sneaks as I looked at him. "Wassup?" he said looking back at me. "Uh I know your not going outside with those on." I said as I looked at him. He just started laughing. "OK Derrick." I'll be by the car waiting. Play with your life if you want to." I said as he laughed.

  "I love you!" he yelled as I didn't say anything. Mmmmmm I guess. "The breeze is nice today." I said as I played some games on my phone. I was interrupted by the sound of a camera. "You look so damn good." Derrick said as he put his phone up. I saw that he changed his shorts and was now wearing some jeans. He smart. "Lemme see." I said smiling. He handed me his phone as he unlocked the doors to my car:

  "Oooo I like this one." I said as he laughed. "Good cuz it's my new lock screen." he said as I blushed.  "What about your car?" I asked him before getting in. "We'll come back for it next week. Can I drive yours?" he asked as I nodded my head. Oh we TOGETHER together.  "I'll just ride with Alexis." I said as I got in. "Or you'll let your man drop you off and pick up." he said as he started the car. Well alrighty then zaddy. "That too." I said as he laughed. Spotless Mind by Jhene Aiko came on immediately. 

  "Change is inevitable. Why hold on to what you have to let go of? Like, did I really break your heart? Was it all my fault? If you don't knock it off, you know like I know where this was headed." me and her sung. "Oooohh I'm a wanderer." I sung as the sun gleamed on me. The vibe was different this time around. I was super happy. "I hear you baby." Derrick said as he drove. The song soon ended as Mine by Bazzi came on next. " You so fuckin' precious when you smile" Derrick rapped as he grabbed my chin. Making me smile. "Hit it from the back and drive you wild" he rapped as I push his hand away from me. "Play too much." I said laughing. "Hand on your body, I don't wanna waste no time." he sung as we drove. I miss this so much. 

  He handed me his phone and told me to turn off airplane mode. As soon as I did, the damn thing would not stop vibrating and ringing. "I'm gonna give that a min before I pick that up." I said as he laughed. " What the fuck though? Where the love go? Five, four, three, two, I let one go. Bow! Get the fuck though, I don't bluff, bro" Derrick starting wrapping as I started Harlem shaking. "Aye!" I said as he started laughing, but continued to rap. "Money over bitches, and above hoes, that is still my favorite love quote. Put the gun inside, what the fuck for? I sleep with the gun, and she don't snore" I rapped with him. Let's go babe. I looked down and saw that his mom was now calling his phone. 

  "Hi mom." I said turning the music down. "Don't hi mom me. Where Derrick?" she said as I laughed. I put the phone on speaker. He looked as I gave him the 'you better say something look'. "Hello?" he said. "Soooooooo who the fuck told you to disappear and not tell nobody where the fuck you going?!" she yelled as I tried my damnest not to laugh. "I'm sorry ma but I needed time to get my shit together." he said. "So you couldn't tell your own mother this?" she said. "I didn't tell anyone. Not even Rob. He just happened to remember something I told him and found me." he said as I smiled. "Ah, well OK then. I'm just glad he found you. You had to see how worried he was about you." she said. "Oh was he?" he said as I looked down. "Yeah that boy really loves you Derrick. Love like that never fades away." she said as I listened.

    "I love him too. More then he knows. You know the whole time I was away, I was waiting for him to come find me?" he said as I damn near dropped the phone. "The universe made sure that happened. I love when you're around him. He brings out the best in you. It's so amazing." she said as I blushing hard af. I love how they're having this conversation like I'm not here. "HEY SON!!!" his mom yelled snapping me from my thoughts. "HI MOM!" I yelled back smiling. "I'm glad that it as you who found him. Thank you so much." she said started crying. "Don't cry." he and I both said. "Derrick, you don't understand. I thought something really bad happened to you. Had me doubling up on my pressure medication and shit. All because you wanted to soul search. I still owe you an asswhooping but for now I'll let you bask in happiness with one of the most amazing people I know." she said as I smiled. We said our goodbyes as we hung up. 

  "You was that worried about me huh?" he said with a smirk on his face. "Shut up but yeah I was. Yo kinda took off without warning so I didn't know what was going on. You wasn't answering my calls or texts either so I really didn't know what happened. I had to put on my thinking cap and shit." I said as he laughed. "I'm sorry. Next time, I'll let you and moms know my next move." he said caressing my face. "You was waiting for me huh?" I said with my eyebrow raised. "Yeah to be honest. Of course the days I was up there, I focused on just making sure I was good mentally and just letting things setting in. After that,  just prayed that of me and you were meant to be, you'd fine me. Looks like I got my answer." he said as he grabbed my hand. The smile on my face right now y'all. For a few minutes, were just sat there in a comfortable silence. 

  "Turn the music back up." he said as Wavy by SZA came on. My shit! "I think I'm bad as hell, I got issues, out of line. Sayin' tomorrow I'll get the dishes, never come. Easy bake, easy wake, oven, just give as much as you take, forgive as much as you hate or get the fuck out" I sung with her. "I was wavy, I've been waitin' for you, boy And I was drownin'. Ooh, I went crazy, I've been goin' crazy, boy. Found out, this the way out (Ooh). Now I'm wavy." I continued. "That's your shit huh?" he said as I nodded my head yeah. "I see. You hungry?" he asked as he took an exit. "You know me so well." I said as he laughed. We pulled up to Wendy's as he placed our order. I mentally prayed that no on would try to push up on him. Lord please let this be a peaceful Sunday, I'm in a really good mood right now.

  Looks like the lord heard my prayers because they took our order and handed us our food. Well almost, the person at the register wrote his number on the back of my cup. Derrick saw it first. "Fuck outta here. He said as he pulled back around. "Wait hol up." he said as it was too late. "How can I help you sir?" the guy said as I sunk in my seat. This not gonna go well. "You got my drink mixed up." he simply said. The guy apologized and brought back the same juice I had earlier. "Sorry about that sir. Anything else." he said as I prayed again. "Yeah, here's something to quench your thirst." he said as he threw the other cup in his face as he pulled off. I watched as the juice splashed all in his face. "Derrick." I said as he didn't say anything. "Fuck outta here with that." he said as I laughed. "That was childish." I said to him as he started laughing. "No it wasn't. That was me claiming mine." he simply said as I laughed. 

  "You didn't mess my car up, you knew better." I said laughing as I ate my fries. "Shut up." he said as he laughed as well.  Money, Cash, Hoes by Jay Z Featuring DMX came on. "J-A-Y, I flow sick, Fuck all y'all haters, blow dick. I spits the game for those that throw bricks" I rapped with Jay as I fed him his fries. "Turn that up louder." he said as I did just that. "D-M-X and my dogs bite. Jigga, my nigga, rhyme all night. Thugs for life, one night with this rap shit." he rapped as I looked at him. "Let a nigga holla, "where my niggas?", all imma hear is " "Right here my nigga!" I yelled. After the song ended, I turned the music back down to a normal volume. I finished eating my food as he continued to drive. Within a half an hour, we ere pulling up to my house. Alexis was sitting on my step. "There you are!" she said as she opened my door and gave me a bear hug. I quite sure she was trying to choke me. 

  "Look who you brought back." she said pushing me away and running to Derrick's side and doing the same. This time, she definitely tried to choke him. "Run off like that and leave everyone in a panic again and I'll do more then this. Got it?" she said as he raised his thumb. "Incredible hulk headass." he said as she turned around. "Sup sis." he said playing  it off. "I'm just glad you two are back!" she said dancing. Derrick got out the and grabbed my bags from the trunk. He helped me out the car as well. "So, I'm picking you up tomorrow?" he said wrapping his arms around me. "That depends, do you deserve to?" I said as I bit my lip. "I would say so." He said as he rocked us from side to side. "Hmmm I guess that's a yes then." I said as he kissed me. "Smile like the sunrise." City High sung, making me smile as we kissed. 

  "Ight, ight gimme my best friend back. Selfish ass." Alexis said breaking us up. She is such a blocker. "My bad Lex." he said as he pulled us both into a hug. "I'm just happy you two are back." she said hugging us back. I feel so complete right now. "Text me what time you gotta be to work tomorrow. I work a little later so now I can come pick you up and drop you off. " he said as I looked at him. "Malik just texted me the schedule." he said as I laughed. "OK. Even though you gonna call me anyway." I said as he laughed. "I gotta run to the gas station before I go to the crib." he said as I nodded my head. "Talk to you later shorty. Later Lex." he said as I waved before he pulled off. "Tell me everything." Lex said as she pick up my bag and dragged me in the house. 

5 Months Later.   

  "Rob you got a gift." Alexis said as I she walked to me. It was a bouquet of flowers attached to a teddy bear. I already knew who is was from, he does this twice a month. "Y'all are so cute." she squealed . "I KNOW you not talking. Your husband does the same thing plus some." I said laughing. "He gets rewarded each and every time." she said as I closed my ears. "Nasty." "That's what he calls me." "Oh my God Lex." I said as she laughed. I put the bear on the table. "You not gonna read the card?" she asked as I saw no need to. Knowing him,it was probably something romantic. Knowing Alexis, she won't let me leave without reading it. Welp here goes nothing. The card simply said: "Wear something nice, I'm picking you up at 7." 

  I was a little confused yet excited. "Looks like I got a date tonight." I said as she jumped up and down. "Aww." she said as I laughed. "Come on. We got work to do." I said as I pulled her. The whole day though, I was going through outfits in my head. "You don't need me to dress you. You already know how to do that. She said as before I even got a word out. I wasn't gonna ask that anyway. She hype. The day was finally over and I was now walking out the building with my bear and Lex. "Tell me all the details tomorrow OK?" she said as I nodded my head. We said our goodbyes as I got in my car. As soon as I made it to the house, I grabbed the outfit I came up with earlier and got dressed. 

  I took one look in the mirror just to make sure I made the right choice. "Perfect!" I said to myself as my phone started to ring. "Hi handsome." "Sup babe. You ready?" he asked as I looked at myself one more time. "Yes." I answered. "Good cuz I'm outside." he said as I laughed. "Here I come." I said as I hung up. I made sure I had everything before walking outside. "Damn shorty you looking damn good tonight." he said as I blushed. I saw that he had two of his buttons undone, showing his chest. I bit my lip. "I see you looking. Where my kiss?" he asked as I happily grabbed his face. "Keep that up and we just might not go anywhere." he said lick his bottom lip. "Stop. You know I hate wasting outfits." I said as he laughed. "I mean you really won't be wasting it." he said as I looked at him. "Derrick." I said smiling. "Ight ight. There goes that smile." he said as he pulled off. 

  I debated on asking him where we were going and ultimately decided against it. I want to be surprised tonight. We pulled up to this nice house. "Ooooo." I said as he parked. "Come on babe." he said as he opened my door. I grabbed his hand as he lead the way. He introduced me to a couple of people, which I quickly figured out that this was a company party. "Where's Malik?" I asked him. "He running a little late but he'll be here. Enjoying yourself?" he asked as I nodded my head. He explained that he had to go to the bathroom and that he'd be back. I danced by myself in the meantime. "Hey baby, come with me real quick." he said as he made his way to me. 

  He grabbed my hand as he pulled me away.  "Do me a  small favor babe and close your eyes." he said as I looked at him. "Please?" he said making the puppy dog face as I did just that. "I'm watching you so I know if your peeking or not he said as I laughed. "Boy shut up." I said laughing but not daring to opened my eyes. "OK babe, you can open them." he said as I did just that and was greeted with this:          

  Oh my God! I turned around to see him on bended knee with an ring box in his hand. "Rob, we've been through so damn much and the last year. You've always made me want to do better, to strive for greater and just be an all around better man then I was the day before. I thought I had it all together before you came along and when you did, you have constantly shown me that I didn't. Your personality lights me up even through the darkest days. Your support makes me feel like I can accomplish anything I set my mind to. Your soul purifies me from even the darkest  of spirits. Your body reminds me that God makes the most beautiful sculptures. Your love makes me feel like the happiest man in the world. So Robert Jalil Michaels I only have one question, will you marry me?" he said as he opened the box, revealing the sexiest ring I've ever seen:      

  "Yes! Yes! A million yes' in the world. YES!" I said through tears as he got up and slid the ring on my finger. "Thank you for making me the happiest man in the world." he said as he hugged me. She Ain't You Remix by Chris Brown started playing. " You make it hard for me, to see somebody else. I'm calling her your name, and yeah it's messed up. 'Cause I'm thinking 'bout you, it's your fault, babe. I never wanted us to break up, No, not this way, but you don't understand it." he sung as he danced. "No I don't, because when you had me, you didn't know how to treat me. You thought my love would be right here and that's what I said, but you told me that I was the only one for you" Alexis, my mom, his mom, my sister, his sister and few other joined in as they circled around me. Cue the water works. 

  "I think I better let her go cuz I can't leave you alone. Every day that I'm with her, all I want is you" Malik, his brothers, my brothers and a few other sung as they circled around me. My ass was over crying yet still singing with them. "And now that you've seen the light, you want me to change my mind, Because you're sitting here like, she ain't you" The rest of the family sung as they all circled around me." NOW, I feel complete. "Cuz sssshhheee ain't you" Derrick sung as he grabbed my hands and kissed me. 

"Thank you for making me complete." I said to him as I kissed him.
