Daemon rolls his eyes.

"It's a prison cell, Skylar."

She sighs.

"I know. I was being sarcastic"

Lee shakes his head.

"I can't believe you, Sky."

She turns to face him, eyes furrowed in confusion.

"You let a teenager lock us in a cell."

She frowns.

"I couldn't just kill him."

Lee growls.

"You're an assassin, that's literally your job."

Daemon reaches for Skylar, tugging her wrist gently to sit her on his lap.

"It wasn't her fault, Lee, she was probably just tired."

The boy scoffs.

"Tired of what?"

The demon glares.

"You know, killing the highly trained hitmen that attacked your apartment."

Skylar shakes her head.

"No, it wasn't that. I just didn't want to kill him."

Lee screeches, burying a hand into her hair and yanking.
