Nathan P. O. V

     "You have forgiven our murderer. How could you? You know I never deserved to leave this world this early", Diana spoke in anger.

     "Diana!! ", my mom yelled.

    "She's is right mom ", I said in agreement. I mean after all I promised to make their murderer pay for murdering my mom and sister.

    "No, she is not. You are happier with her. I have seen you happy just by the thought of her. She killed your sister because its part of her rules. It is not your fault we died and it is not your responsibility to make her pay. You have no idea how much pressure is mounted on her, how many lives depend on her, how worried she is, how many times she has to act strong in front of you all and how many times she cries behind closed doors. Please you both are happier with each other and there is nothing I want more than you both happiness. I owe her and her mom this atleast. Our lives lies on her palm and her happiness lies with you", my mom advised as tears rolled down my cheeks.

      I hugged my mom and Diana and I felt at peace. Diana is right she didn't deserve to die but mom is right its not my responsibility to make her pay, my happiness lies in her and vice versa. I deserve to be happy atleast just like Mae deserves to be happy. I don't care about her mistakes, I care about her. I love her and I am not scared to tell the world. She has apologized and that's all that matters.

     "Nate!  Nate!!  Nate!!! ", I heard Andre yell my name and I woke up from my sleep.

    "What!! ", I asked.

    "Mae, Light and her brothers are not at home.", Andre informed me and I jerked from the bed.

     "What!! ", I asked in shock.

   "They have her ma's whereabout so they went to find her ", Andre said.

    "Why are you just telling me? What if something happens to her?  ", I asked in anger.

    "I thought you didn't care about her. What changed?  Light is there to take care of her", Andre said and I felt my anger rise.

    "Don't dare mention his name. I love Mae and nothing changed, I was just angry that's all", I said and Andre smiled.

     "Then go get dressed let's go and get your girl", Andre said and I stood up from the bed and ran to the bathroom.

      "Do you think she will forgive me or accept me back? ", I asked because I was scared she won't accept me back. I broke up with her before we began any relationship.

     "With how happy she looked after the kiss yesterday, I doubt. You both deserve to be happy ", Andre said and I hope he is right.

    I looked at Kate and I knew she was angry with me. She hadn't spoken to me for a while, not like I care but she is my bestfriends girlfriend so basically she is none avoidable. I stretched my hand and held her hand and drew her to my right hand side.

     "Spill it. I know you are angry with me", I said hitting the nail on the head.

       "You avoided her for a crime she committed a year ago. She begged and begged but you turned deaf ears which is messed up. Do you have any idea how many times she has cried all because of you? ", Kate queried and I chuckled.

      "Do you think I enjoy been away from her? I love her, always had, always will but I was deeply hurt. Do you have any idea how it feels for the love of your live to be your only siblings murderer? Everyone wants me to forgive her but no one knows what I am going through, no one cares but that's okay. I am used to fairing for myself. ", I said.

     "I understand, really I do. You know the circumstances that led to-"

   "They killed her for fun. I saw them taking some shots. But I put all that behind me and forgave her, do you think it is easy?", I asked and she was silent.

    "Thank you for having her in mind, I really do appreciate. I wish to see more of this after we are a couple. Always take her side no matter what transpired between us, even if she is wrong because her happiness is all that matters to me", I said and she hugged me.

     We saw her and her siblings and Light about to enter the elevator before Andre yelled their names and they halted. I locked eyes with Mae and I could see the felicity in her eyes. I walked to her and intertwined our fingers as we all entered into the elevator to the last floor.

     Immediately we got out of the elevator we saw guards well equipped with advanced guns. We all began to fight them, well it was easy because before they can pull the trigger we would use our powers. They all looked eager to kill and brutalize.

    When we were done in defeating them. We stood in front of a door before Ryder bursted the door opened and we saw a woman chained with metal on her body, she laid on a bed. Mae, Josh and Jay ran to her and tried to free her but it was useless. The table was screwed to the ground as black opal was wrapped around her ma.

   "Ma! ", Mae called out as tears rolled down her cheeks.

     I took a step forward to console her but Andre held me back. I looked at her and saw her wrapped around Kelvins arm. Seeing her in this state breaks my heart into title pieces. I had to fight the urge to kill who ever is responsible for this.

    "It feels good to see the great Mae McCallister cry. It feels good giving you a taste of your own medicine. Now you know how I felt", a voice echoed around the room and the door shut and locked on its own.

    "What did I do to you? ", Mae asked.

      "Because of you I lost my ma. Grand pa cared more about you and your siblings than he cared about me. He could have brought her to live but no, he didn't.", The voice said again.

     "Who are you? ", Kelvin asked.

     "Your cousin who was abandoned just like the other demonites. Grandpa took you all to safety and left I, my siblings and some demonites to die. He gave you all a necklace to protect you but he left us to fend for ourselves, isn't that heartlessness? My sister and brother died because of you", the voice kept accusing them.

    "I don't understand anything you are saying. Cousin?  From where? ",Mae asked.

    "Serenas twin sister, Sarah. They were four, Kenneth, Karien, Sarah and Serena. Aunt never talked about her sister, did she? ", the voice sounded disappointed.

    "Wait-"

    "You know her, don't you? . The woman who consoled your ma after she was abandoned and dump-"

     "Shut up", Mae yelled and stood on her feet.

   I remember her telling me that story. From Maes reaction, she is willing to kill him withstanding the fact that he is her cousin.

    "It hurt to hear the truth, doesn't it? ", the voice asked.

   "If I get my hands on you,  I swear to the gods, I will kill you ", she promised 

     "It against your rule to kill your kind-"

     "I don't care about you or that rule. All it did was ruin my life", she growled.

    "Show yourself!! ", Jay yelled.

     A shadow began to move out of the dark, giving us the shock of our lives. It was the last person we ever suspected. John Kingsley.
