camping
Be Dirk===>
It was 6 am on Friday. You were at the camp, waiting for the damn teacher to finish her call so you could get on with this hell of a trip. Jake, who looked like he was wide awake, was sitting on the hood of his jeep. You noticed John in the back seat sprawled out asleep.
You kept glaring at Jake, knowing he set you and your brother up.
Jake happened to look over and give you an innocent smile but his eyes held a smirk. That was all you needed to blame him for this.
"Okay! Go to your cabins and meet us by the water in 15 minutes." The teacher said as she hung up her phone and started walking to her own cabin. You didn't even hesitate to walk to the cabin. Dave's cabin is right next to yours, so thats good. If anything happens, you'll hear it. You head to your cabin to find Jake. How'd he get there before you? You dont know, but you just took the other bed thats on the other side of the room.
"Wow, you're just a bundle of fun, aren't you?" Jake teased, making you snap.
"Look here, you fucking piece of shit... If we didn't need this class to pass, we wouldn't be here, so just keep to your fucking self! Try and hurt any of the students and I'll kill both you AND John." You snapped at him. He just backed off like he didn't wanna fight. You storm out of the cabin to see Dave leaving his. You both look upset as you walk to the lake. It was a pretty big lake. You couldn't see the other side of it, unless you were in a tree.
It was oddly peaceful -- not something you Striders were awfully used to. Jake and John were the last two people to come before the teacher started talking about the activity you'd be doing today. Jake was looking off at the lake with a troubled expression.
"Everybody get into a boat and..." The teacher was about to finish, but Jake cut her off.
"ACTUALLY...! A lot of the students are tired and hungry and they haven't eaten. It is not a good idea to have kids with little to no energy in a lake." Jake said, having a good point. All the students agreed, making the teacher sigh.
"Fine, fine... Go and eat, children. The mess hall is the big house on the end." She said before walking to her cabin. "Meet me out here in an hour." She finished off. Everyone went to the mess hall except for Jake and John. Dave went to his cabin. You follow him, keeping an eye on Jake. When you get inside, you notice that Dave didn't have a window, which made you a bit worried.
"So, bro... How's rooming with Jake been?" Dave asked you, moving his bag onto his bed.
"Well, it's..." You were cut off by the ground starting to shake.
It was a fucking earthquake! It only lasted for about 20 seconds before it ended. You knew who was behind this. You ran outside to see that a giant tree had fallen over, crushing all of the boats.
Jake looked happy, at what you know was his work.
You stormed over, grabbing him by the shirt.
"What the fuck are you trying to do here, English?" You snarl at Jake who just put his hands up.
"Oh no... This sucks! The boats got destroyed! Well, we have extra. You 8, come with me." The teacher said, pointing at a group of jocks that groan as they follow her.
Jake cussed under his breath, making you glare at him before you drop him.
"I'm watching you..." You hissed at him, storming back to your cabin.
You went to your two duffle bags. You had one for clothing and one with demon killing gear. You made sure everything, mainly your sword, was still there as you hear a knock on the door.
"Yo, Dirk. Archery. Let's go, the teacher getting mad." Some kid said, making you sigh. You put your bag away before heading out to the field.
"Get with your cabin member. Since we can't boat until tomorrow, we will do archery and fencing instead." Your teacher said as she goes to sit. "I'll call teams to go first and the winning team will get the day off on Sunday, as well as 20 points extra credit to final exam." She added pulling out a clipboard. Jake looked rather happy with this game of archery. Soon, it was John and Dave's turn.
Dave went first, doing pretty well. He was 25 feet from the target, getting somewhat close to the center. He was in the 6 and 7 line range.

You were impressed, since Dave usually uses a sword. Once Dave shot 5 times, he was told to sit down and John went up. He asked if he could skip it, but the teacher said no. He shuffled to the bow and shot his 5 arrows. He managed to hit the target....once...but he didn't even get points for it.
"Dirk, it's your turn." She told you. John put the bow down and quickly shuffled away from you and not too close to Dave, but as close as he had to be. You walked over to the bow as the guys ran to clear the target bringing back the arrows. The 10 arrows had two set colors. 5 were white and the other 5 were black.
You picked up the white arow to shot your 5, hitting all in the 8 line around the center.
"Beat that, Jake." You mumble with a smirk as Jake was called up, being the last one to shoot.
Jake had a smug grin on his face as he nocked an arrow in the bow and got ready to fire. The first shot hit dead center. The second shot pushed the first one to the side as he iut 2 bullseyes in a row. He shot a third time; the 3rd one doing the same to the 1st and 2nd one. You were actually surprised. You can tell that he wasn't using any powers, and that this was just his skill. The 3 arrows were in a triangle shape as he readied the next shot. The people who weren't paying attention were now, as he shot the 4 directly in between the 3 sending the 4th arrow to go through the back of the target.

( this but with another arrow in the middle of all 3)
"Okay, okay, Jake... That's enough. Good job, really good job..." the teacher said stoping him being. She was cheerful but also had a look of worry.
Jake nods and sits back down close to you.
"Just did." He said with a smug grin that made you wanna punch his fucking face in and... Something else.
The teacher made everyone get into their small groups. As normal, you and Jake face off as John and Dave do the same. The teacher hands out polls. John asked again if he could sit out, but he was denied. He looked worried as he held it like a staff, not wanting to fight.
Jake was looking at you with curiosity.
"Pay fucking attention, demon." You said, swinging the pole at Jake's feet. Jake flips back on his feet, readying himself.
You swing at him again, something that was supposed to be a small fun poke. The game had soon turned into an actual fight. Jake moved his pole to the side, blocking your own. You follow up with a kick from the side, which he blocked. You used his arm to push off him and get some distance between you two so you could ready yourself. You had to admit, Jake was a nimble one. Jake didn't make the first move. He was waiting. You knew why, too. Sword fighting, or anything hand-to-hand, wasn't his best-selling quality. He was better at long range things than close range.
You used this to your advantage, dashing at him and aiming for his stomach. He goes to block like you hoped he would. He left his left side open to your advantage. You dig your heel into the ground so you could spin around faster to hit him in the left side hard.
Jake went off balance, just like you hoped he would. You slashed at his leg with the pole, making him fall back. You put the pole to Jake's throat and your shoe to his chest. You smirk down at him.
"Hunters alway win." You mutter before you let him go and walk off the mat. When you left, you notice John get flipped by Dave with a loud squeak before he played sick and left.

You just watch your brother kick Jake's ass with a wooden pole. Jake was fast and was good at blocking attacks but not a real attack. John tried to get you off guard but you may have gone too far because your natural response was to disarm and flip him. John let out the loudest and cutest sounding fucking squeak you've ever heard. If he wasn't your enemy, you would date him. He got up and faked being sick so he could leave with Jake, who looked kinda mad that he lost. You put the pole away and go to your brother, who was looking out at the water.
"What's on your mind?" You asked him.
"Why was Jake so scared to get in the water.....?" Dirk said, tapping his finger on the table.
"Maybe he cant swim? Or the water is his weakness? " You shrugged.
That made Dirk have the look of evil.
"Well, if it is, then I think mayb he needs to go for a swim." He said with a smirk.
A bit after that, this bell rings, and a different teacher told everyone that it was time to go to sleep. " Aw maaaan... Curfew suuucks!" You mumbled as you got up, Dirk following behind you.
"Be careful, bro..." You both said to one another, before going to your cabins.

You went straight to bed after you took a fast shower. You happened to wake up to pee in the middle of the night to notice that Jake wasn't in the cabin. You took a fast pee break before getting your shoes on and grabbing a weapon. You sneak out, going to the lake. It was beautiful with the moon and stars reflection. You noticed Jake over on the left side, crouched down scratching something into the bottom of the boats. You stay hidden, watching him do his work. Soon, he finished, leaving the boats to go over to the woods. You make sure that he was gone before you go over to see what he wrote on the bottom of all the boats.
In each carving, there was a weird demonic looking symbol with some small writing in a language you didn't know. You take a mental note of it before scratching it out. Knowing a demon, it was something used to harm others. You quickly rush back to your cabin.
You weren't about to let Jake or his cousin John hurt anyone on this trip.
