I was silent the whole ride to home. Only one thought was crossing my mind. Or should I say a person. Alec. His smirk was all I could think about.

My thoughts came to an end when I felt someone's hand tapping on my shoulder. Ava, are you even listening to me? I'm talking to you- dad said sighing.

Huh? I zoned out. Sorry dad- I apologised sincerely.

We are leaving tomorrow. We are sorry, we didn’t inform you beforehand. We didn’t want you to panic- dad said sadly. I could tell he is saying the truth. I'm really not good at handling any news be it good or bad. A sudden news always makes me panicked.

It's okay dad. I can stay alone, you know. We don't have to bother aunt Alissa and her family- I tried to escape  from my bad luck.

No- they both replied simultaneously. I don’t have a say then.

Just be a good girl and stay there for sometime. Both your mom and I will be worrying about you if you stay alone. I promise you princess, we will be back soon. Just hold onto us- dad said, mom silently sobbing in the back seat.

I didn’t know what to say anymore. I just nodded and looked at the other side. Tears started to build in my eyes. I was hurt too. I wanted to go with them. But I chose to remain silent. I guess it will take them less time to finish the work if they go without me. I wasn’t of any help anyway.

And don't you dare to think that we are leaving you behind. We will come for you. You're our precious world- dad's words made me feel somewhat comforting.

I trust you both. Just go safely and come as fast as you can. You know It's not safe to leave your girl in a house where a boy resides. Anything can happen- I chuckled at my own lame joke. I was just trying to lighten up the mood a little.

Don't worry. I'm not offending you and you're beautiful and all but that boy Alec, he is out of your league- mom said finally chuckling.

Ouch. It hurts- I pointed at my heart and giggled. Ohh, I am gonna miss them a lot.

We got down and went into our home. Home sweet home. I guess it's my last night here. Dad and mom kissed my cheek and told me to pack my cloths and necessary things. They headed towards their room after saying good nights. They need rest.

I went into room and started packing my things. By the time I was finished packing, it was 1:30 am in the morning. I was tired but not sleepy. I tried to sleep but it didn’t work.

I kept rolling on my bed but sleep never consumed me. I don’t know how much time passed and looked at my alarm clock. It's 5:30 am.

Ugh. I was feeling agitated. I tried to cool down. I left my bed and headed to the bathroom. I took a long shower and came out. I looked at the clock and It's 6:15 am. I had still a lot of time. I wore a blue crop top paired with a black jeans, put on my converse and left my room.

I am not good at cooking and so I didn’t even try. I was waiting for my parents to come down. Around 7 am they came down and we had our last breakfast together.

Be strong and try to talk more. College  is a great place to discover yourself newly- mom said, kissing my cheek. Dad hugged me tightly. I love you, princess- his words broke my heart.

Here. This is Alissa's address. Move there after coming back from college- Dad said, handing me a card that contains my new shelter.

My parents left and I headed to my college.

By the time 7:50 am, I was standing in front of my college. St. Cresent College, I  looked at the name and sighed. I was not feeling good. I already miss my parents.

Hey, shortie- I heard the same voice I didn’t want to hear. Excuse me? Shortie who?- I asked agitated. I'm 5'3" for your kind information- I said defending myself.

I'm 6'4" so you know- He said towering me. Pride was evident in his eyes and that devilish smirk. I want to kill him.

I gulped. My thoughts and my personality doesn’t match. I never speak my mind. Always thinking about others emotion. Always giving others priority over mine.

Give me your phone- he said reaching for my phone. Before I could protest, my phone was already in his hand. Damn.

W-why you need my phone?- I asked in a low tone.

I'm coming to pick you up after college. Here, I saved my phone number- he said giving my phone back.

I have your house address. I can manage and come there alone. You don’t need to bother- I tried to reason out. I'm doing this only for my mom- he said calmly.

I checked the phone and took a look at his number. Prince Charming? Who? He?- I burst into laughter.

Alec didn’t say anything. He just smirked and left.

All the classes were peaceful as I didn’t have any class with Mr. Jerk today. I dozed off in most of my classes. My tiredness was taking it's toll on me. I couldn't concentrate on my classes. I felt very sleepy.

We met at the lunch at the cafeteria, our usual place. Linda was cheerful like always and Rin just kept glancing at Linda. I ship them. They will look great together.

One thing that annoyed me the most was Alec's ignorance. He didn’t talk to me, didn’t look at me once during the whole lunch break. I looked at him few times, only to see him flirting with Rose. Wow. Jerk- I sighed.

It's not that I like him and all but I didn’t like his ignorance. It was like I was invisible in his eyes.

My thoughts came to a halt as my phone started ringing. I saw the caller id and a genuine smile formed on my face.

Dad. Have you guys reached there? How's the city?- I asked impatiently.

Yes. We are here and everything is good till now. I just called to inform you. Go home safely and you've the address with you, right?- dad asked worriedly.

Yes dad. Don't worry. Take care. Talk to you later- I said before hanging up the phone.

I opened the door of my house and entered inside. I was so tired. I didn’t have any stamina left. I headed towards my room.

Time to sleep- I sang happily.
