december 23rd 1892-

i jumped up, trying hard to lift the ladder to the doctors cloud home, sometimes it isnt easy. i finally did and climped up. stair after stair after stair till I reached the cloud, and instantly brightened up when i saw the tardis. "look, at you, old girl! Has that old man abanded you?' i rubbed her dirty sides. and opened the door. instead of the happy, clean atmosphere i had grown used to, instead i saw a dirty, grimy tardis. "you should really clean the tardis, she would appericate it." i inturrepted the doctor, who sat in the captians chair. reading.

"out." he said, not even looking up from his book. "aw, doctor! theres something wrong with the snow! please help! come on!" i whined, knowing the old him wouldnt pass up the offer, he never did. not when we defeated the daleks, or when we discivered the flesh, especially not when amy was kidnapped. he put his book down and sat his embarrising glasses on the console. "diamond. you know that i dont do that anymore." he said patiently, looking me in the eye. "well, at least, leave the tardis, come to the pub with me, we're worried about you." i begged him, he looked at me solemnly, most likily remembering our adventures. "fine. but just this once." he scowled at me. i smiled at him, and grabbed his hand as i pulled him grudgly along, he always said that he'd only do it just this once, but I can usually cox him into another trip, as we reached the park, i turned to see the doctor smiling, for the first time since amy and rorys death. he saw me stare, and went back to his sad look, i sighed, this wasnt going to be easy.

"strax!" i called for strax, the walking potato dwarf thing, "yes, puny earth scum," he drove the carrige to the edge of the park. "im not an earth scum. im a human, now, to the pub." i opened the door for the doctor, when i noticed something out of the edge of my eye.

i picked it up, a pocket watch. no, wait, i looked at it closer. i had one just like this as a girl, back on earth. "anything wrong?" the doctor asked poking his head out the carrige door. "no, nothing." i pushed the pocket watch deep into my dress pocket and climbed into the carriage, forgetting about the watch for tonight.

time skip~

"strax. get the memory bug."the doctor said sternly, staring at the bar maid, "yes sir, doctor." strax saluted, "dont forget the gloves." i chirped in. but strax did not reply. only to walk back to the doctors side. "did you get it?' the doctor asked him. "get what?" strax asked. "you forgot the gloves." the doctor talked, putting hind on his head. "diamond? will you-" "sure" i inturrepted him,

i liked this oswald girl, so i pretended to get the worm, forgetting the gloves on porpose. i walked back to the doctor. "where is it?" he asked me. "wheres what?" i asked. pretending to be clueless. "you want something done! do it yourself!' the doctor murmed to himself, as he got the gloves. the girl looked at me, and i winked so she would know that i faked it, she gave me a small thin smile. "here it is." he said, holding a jar with the memory bug in it, when a snowman appeared behind her, clara reacted quickly, "doctor, what is it?" she said breathing heavy. "snow. alien snow." i said, me and vestra, had done some sleuthing around. the doctor scanned it. "your right" he muttered under his breath. as a snowman popped up from behind.

"they have a small physic field". i breathed heavily as they neared closer. me and vastra did a lot of sleuthing around "clara! imagine thim melting. imagine the snowman melting!' he grabbed her arms, clara closed her eyes, and a few seconds later, the snowmans exploded into water, soaking us all, the doctor smiled his big gappy smile. for the first time in ages. "amazing!" i interupted the silence. "only wet.' i shuddered from the cold. the doctor went back to his sad gloomy face, at the reminder of me and strax.

"yes, yes. wet, back to the task at hand." the doctor grabbed the memory bugs jar, "doctor, do you hav-" i was interupted by clara. "you cant erase my memory, i would forget how to stop the snowman, and i may get hurt, and we dont want that." she said slyly. i saw the doctor give a hint of a smile. I really like this girl, and so did he. "yes, true. now run along." he pushed her away. her smile faltered, along with mine. he opened the carrige back up, "strax, take me back to the tardis, i want to be alone." he said, sternly and glumly, somehow giving a perfect mixture of the two. strax obeyed, not saying anything, and drove him back to the park, then drove me to my home for the past few months, i sighed and entered.

i walked into my room and rembered the pocket watch, i took it out, and ran my hand over the top of it, gallifreyan, i remember the doctoer explaining how the tardis cant translate gallifreyan, but me secretly not believing him, because the tardis had shown me a book written in gallifreyan, and i could read it, words mesmerizing my mind. the thing on the pocket watch read, in intricate patterns and circles,

"Gem"

Suddenly my thoughts where filled with the doctors voice "I'm all alone: I'll always be alone. Everyone I love is either dead or hurt because of me." Why can I hear the doctor? "You've still got me." I thought back. I was probably going crazy. My thoughts were interupted by jenny. "dinners ready" she open the door as soon as she did her eyes narrowed at the sight of what I held in my hand. "vastra!" she yelled down the hall. And was answered by a green lizard dressed all in black. "yes?" she asked, walking through the door. her eyes also narrowed at the sight of the watch. "but...what......how? no. this cant be possible." she said, not even bothering to let me explian that its not mine.

"diamond, open the watch." jenny said, seeming sorta excited. i picked it up and obeyed, nothing happened.i shrugged. "im sorta confused." i said, putting the watch done, vestra and jennys faces filled with dissapointment. jenny looked at vestra, as if asking permission, vestra shook her head. "nothing." just curius, thats it, but, do keep it with you." jenny said, i made a mental note to play around with it later.

I walked down the staircase to be greeted by Strax. "the earth boy from last night, is attempting to reach the doctor" straxs army voice told me rather impatiently, "strax, shes a girl," i said laughed then realized it was broad moonlight. "jenny, get some tea, we are probabaly going to have to qeustion her." i called to jenny who nodded. I the ran out the door to the cold sidewalk, i saw a group of people began to gather around the park. Strax should have told me sooner. I parted my way through the crowd. "oswald!," i called, she was jumping up, trying to reach the ladder. "your causing attention, you cant get the ladder unless the doctor or the tardis, want you to." i refrained her from jumping. she nodded and i showed her the house, walking straight to the inside garden.

"tea?" jenny asked, posing as the house maid, "no, thank you." she said, giving jenny a smile. she sat down on the chair in front of vastra, while i leaned back against vestras large arm chair. vastra started, her series look on her face, I feel bad for some of the people we have met, she could be a little kinder, but it's not in vastras nature to be kind to strangers.

"One word and one word only." She said, sticking to the regular script, "make it a good one!" I added on, giving her a small hint of a smile, trying to be nice, everybody fails this part. "take you time, it's a lot to ask." Vastra finished, we waited, we sat in that room for more than thirty minutes, till she said anything . "Pond" She smiled at her answer "tell the doctor, pond." I gave her my brightest smile. she was the one. she was going to get the doctor off his cloud.

Doctors p.o.v

I sat in the tardis kitchen, eating a biscuit, when my thoughts were inturrepted, "this is it, she's the one." Diamonds voice rang through my head, how is she doing this? Why? Who is she? And then I realized,
Only she could do it. Only them gem. how did she survive? And diamond? No. She can't. Surely not. I heard ringing in the distance so I jumped up and grouchily answered it.

Diamonds p.o.v

I ran to the park, no one around, good.
I grabbed the ladder on my first try and made it to the cloud in 10 minutes flat, only to be greeted by the doctor putting a strange hat of sorts on, I didn't know what it was, but it was bad. "Doctor! What is that!" I was alarmed, he turned around, and instead of the doctor I knew,. I saw a pain stricken man. A man who had seen war. who had seen death. I looked down, a searing pain shot through my head pulling me to the ground. "Pond." I said, before everything went blank. Hoping the doctor understood.

I wasn't in the tardis anymore, this time, I was at a place, surrounded by red grass and mountains, where was I? I saw three people, two boys and a girl, they sat in the grass talking, while another pain shot through my head, I clutched my forehead and screamed in pain, it was unbearable, I saw the girl and one boy running towards me, while one lingered backed. I stared at the girls face, something seemed familiar about her. Possibly it was her long frizzy hair tied up in a ponytail, or her freckled face, either way, she seemed important, I heard them speak, but their words were beyond comprehension, I saw the girls eyes, sparkling with innocence, "where am I?" I asked, "gallifrey." The boy said. I looked into his eyes: I was greeted with a pair of eyes that I know very well but his where younger, more innocent. I screamed again as the horrible pain came back then I blacked out.
