Riley's Pov
I get up and I check the time and I get out the bed and I walk in the bathroom and turn on the shower. I get in the shower and I let the hot water run down my face and I sigh. I take a shower and I get out and wrap my towel around my body and I walk out the bathroom and I walk back in my room. I dry off and I put on some shorts and a tank top and I get back in the bed. I slowly start to fall asleep and I get a text message from my boyfriend. I get my phone and I look at the message and I put my phone on the charger and I get under the cover and I lay down and I fall asleep.
2 hours later
I wake up and I get my phone and I check the time. I get up and I walk in the bathroom and I get ready for work. I finish getting ready and I grab my phone and my keys and I walk out my room and I walk downstairs. I walk outside and I get in my car and I put on my seatbelt. My phone starts ringing and I glance down at my phone and I focus back on the road. I drive to work and I pull up in the parking lot and I park my car and I get out.
Carter's Pov
I call Riley's phone but she doesn't answer. I call her again and I drive to her job and I sit in my car and I wait on her. I see her car pull up and I wait for her to get out and I get out the car and I walk over to her. "Riley so you didn't see me calling your phone?" She looks at me "look carter I got to go to work." She walks off and she walks inside. I follow behind her "so you just going to ignore me like that?" She turns around and looks at me "I'm at work Carter so bye." I grab her arm and some man walks over to me "let her go she don't want to be bothered with you." I look at him "this ain't got nothing to do with you." He grabs my throat and he chokes me. I let Riley's arm go and she walks off again. I tell him to let me go and I walk out the store.
Riley's Pov
I get out my car and I hear someone yelling my name I turn around and I see that it's Carter. He walks over to me. "Riley so you didn't see me calling your phone?" I look at him "look carter I got to go to work." I walk off and i walk inside. He follows behind me "so you just going to ignore me like that?" I turn around and look at him. "I'm at work Carter so bye." He grabs my arm and some man walks over to us. "let her go she don't want to be bothered with you." Carter looks at him. "this ain't got nothing to do with you." He grabs Carter by his throat and he chokes him. He let's my arm go and I walk off again. I watch Carter leave and I walk over to the man that helped me I look at him. "Thank you." He looks at me "you're welcome". I softly smile and I walk off to help a customer. I look over and I see the man walking over to me. I look at him and smile. He looks at me and holds out his hand "I'm James btw." I shake his hand. "I'm Riley." He looks at me. "It's nice to meet you." I start back working until it's time for me to go. I clock out and I walk outside and I get in my car and I drive off and I go home.
