~Left
Dylan's perspective :)
I woke up to the light but cold drops of rain dropped on my head. I was laying on the ground and couldn't remember anything.
Sky!
Her name popped up in my brain. I remembered now!
We had had a weird night last night but where is she now?
She fell asleep I thought!
I turned my head from left to right trying to spot her. She wasn't there.
I stood up.
I was soaked and sandy but when I looked back, there was only fog and everything was dewy. My glasses fogged up easily and to the point where I can't see through them.
"Sky!" I called out, "Sky?!"
I was choking on the fog as well. Was it fog or smoke?
I tried to move faster but my leg felt like it was crushed by a car.
Smoke? Fog. Fog? Smoke.
That's when I saw her. Sky. She was washing down a bonfire she had made for her breakfast.
I took off my glasses and rubbed the condensation off.
There.
"Hey Sky," I looked down, shyly.
I don't know if she looked up or not but I could tell that she was basically really happy I was there.
"Dylan! Where were you! My parents and— and your parents! They were searching all night!" She began to cry.
I ran up to her and hugged her.
"We need to pack the trailer, we're going home, Sky," I whispered, shushing her at moments when she began to sob into my shoulder.
"Okay. Okay! I'm going to help for real now! I'll get the dirt bike gear and stuff sorted. Put into the bags and loaded up in the trailer." Sky said, letting herself free of my embrace.
I ran inside and started cleaning all the dirty dishes. Once clean, they were shoved into a box.
Sky came in minutes later with the dirt bike stuff.
"I'll try to get the bikes." She said, running toward the door. Before she went out, she flashed me a quick grin.

Everything was put away and cleaned and we were ready to roll.
Sky and I went outside and sat under the tent. We had no intention to get soaked today.
The rain was coming fast and I really enjoyed hearing the tapping sound.
I plopped in my headphones and turned on my phone, scrolling through music seconds after.
I decided to put on Coming Home by Diddy – Dirty Money.
I leaned back in my chair with my hand over Sky's and watched the rain fall.
Like my tears on sad days. Like Sky's when she loses something she's loved for a really.
Long.
While.
My thoughts drifted in and out of my mind. Slowly coming in but leaving very quickly.
"Tell the world I'm coming home"
"Let the rain wash away"
"All the pain of yesterday"
These lyrics were very relatable for as I was letting the rain wash away— not only yesterdays pain — but the past's too.
I took a deep breath and smiled over at Sky.
Would we be friends for ever?
Would she stay with me?
Or move on to someone better?
Love me?
Or hate me?
All these questions fogged my glasses.
"I know my kingdom awaits"
"And they've forgiven my mistakes"
"Im coming home, I'm coming home"
"Tell the world I'm coming..."
"Home."
Sky's perspective
I had NO idea what Dylan was thinking about. He sat there. Most likely enjoying the beautiful and elegant look of the rain. Shimmering and smacking the sand like one of those hand claps.
"Clack, clack," I heard, "Clackity clack," I nodded to the sound and rhythm of the precipitation.
He had his earphones in. Who knew?
I smiled as I looked at him. So different yet so... so close! He looked over and caught my trance on him.
I looked away quickly.
"Problem?" He asked.
Probably grinning.
I turned a deep shade of red. Why pick on me?
I suddenly burst out laughing.
"What?" He asked.
I couldn't stop.
"It's just that- that you're just-" I was gasping for breath.
Suddenly his lips met mine.
