Chapter 21
Anna's POV
I giddily skipped into my second period. History class.
I was okay at history, it wasn't my favorite subject but I was more interestedly the people in the class than the class itself.
I sat down in the first empty seat I saw and started unpacking my things. "Hey." I looked up to find out who the voice belonged to.
"Oh, hi Hans." I smiled.
"Is anyone sitting here?" He asked. I shook my head and he plopped down next to me.
"So, Anna..." Hans started. "I've been thinking, maybe you'd like to-" Hans was interrupted by Mama Odie's loud voice.
"Hello, children! How are ya today?" She asked in her thick Cajun accent.
"Good." We answered at once.
"That's good, ya'll. Today, we gonna be learnin' 'bout Norway." I sat up straighter at the mentioning of the origin of my nationality.
---
"And here's a picture of one of the Norwegian mountains." Mama Odie said, showing us a picture on the presentation board.
I peeked over at Hans to see if he was as excited as I was, but he seemed completely bored.
I didn't understand. How could he be so bored when we're learning about something so interesting?
I brushed it off. Maybe history's just not his thing.
I packed up and left as soon as the bell rang, determined to find Elsa and tell her what I had learned.
I started out the door, and I came face to chest with Kristoff. Wow, he's tall.
I looked up into his smiling face as he greeted me. "Hey." I replied back the same way, but I was not prepared for what would come next.
Hans' POV
"Would you like to go get some hot chocolate with me?" I heard Kristoff ask.
What? No, I was supposed to ask her if she wanted to go out with me. Not that rugged, bulky guy.
I glared as I saw her smile and say, "Sure." He waved to her and he walked off smiling at me as if to say, I beat you.
I don't think so.
I walked up to Anna and retried what I was going to do before I was so rudely interrupted by Mama Odie.
"Hey, Hans." I smiled my kindest smile at her and just said, "Would you like to go get something to eat with me later?"
I expected her to do what most girls would do when faced with my charm. Ditch their date and go with me instead.
I furrowed my brows when she did the unexpected. "Actually, Hans, Kristoff already asked me out tonight."
"That's fine." I grunted and stormed off.
How dare she do that to me? I'm Hans of the Southern Isles.
Kristoff has it coming. He better watch his back.
