Talno grabbed hold of the rusty latch that opened the entrance to his home, and rotated it with a hideous noise. A soft breeze blew at Talno and out on the horizon was a massive silhouette. It had what appeared was humongous talons. It had no legs, yet it still snuck along the dunes effortlessly. As it got closer Talno noticed a transparent chamber atop the beast, and it had something inside. Talno scouted through the scope of his gun and noticed a human silhouette, operating what appeared to be a set of controls. As it got closer Talno saw that it was not a fleshy being, but some mechanical horror. After some time it came to a complete stop outside Talno's home, and Talno could clearly make out the word "SALVAGE" scrawled along the side of the machine. The glass chamber opened and a woman came out brandishing a mug of artificial coffee. She stretched then jumped down onto the sand, grabbing a flashlight from a pocket on her belt. Talno hid away from sight, holding his gun at the ready. The woman stepped through the doorway and Talno noticed Twinkies spines frill up. Talno stroked Twinkie in an attempt to calm her down but she emitted a low guttural screech barely reminiscent of a bark and stepped out to confront our intruder. The woman turned to the noise and immediately noticed Talno, she made an attempt to grab a small armament from her holster, but Talno sprinted at her and rendered her unconscious with a strike from the butt of his gun. Twinkie skittered beside Talno and nudged his leg, expecting reward for her "bravery"
