Talno awoke groggily to the noise of Twinkie gnawing on the bones of the fallen. Talno grabbed his gas mask to keep out the putrid stench, and searched the bodies. He took the device that had immobilized him. He found a picture of a family in one of the backpacks and felt awful as he searched the rest. He found a smaller more easily concealed gun and took that. He wondered if he should take the armour but somehow that felt fundamentally wrong to him. He left Twinkie to finish the carcasses as he searched the rest of the facility. He felt sorry for Catrina and let her out, but as she ran away he wondered if that was a good decision. He found some assorted snacks in the offices of the building and took his now cooled off blade as a piece of luck. The next patrol was already rolling in as Talno and Twinkie snuck off into the night.
