{a/n~deadass are yall enjoying this?}

"Mom?"

Jungkook walked into his home and shut the front door behind him. Locking it back he could hear shuffling from inside the kitchen.

He walked through the living room and into the kitchen to find his mother.

"Mom?"

She turned around and once she got a glimpse of her son she cupped her hands over her mouth. "Oh my God."

They both met each other for a hug that lasted for over more than a few minutes.

His mother pulled away from the hug and kissed his cheek over and over. "Oh my baby..." When she remembered the events of last night she glared at him. "Where the hell were you last night?"

Jungkook cracked a smile. He knew this lovey dovey phase wasn't going to last long."I was at Baekhyun's."

Jungkook was thankful that Jimin helped him come up with a lie to tell to his mother on the ride there. He hated to do it, but he couldn't just tell his mother the truth.

It was only a little white lie. No harm being done...right? Everyone lies. Everyone.

She let Jungkook go and placed her hands on her hips. "That is no excuse as for why you didn't call me."

Jungkook took his hat off and ran his hand through his hair. "Well you see..."

"Where did you get those clothes from?"

Jungkook laughed a bit. "Mom..."

She looked him up and down eying his clothes. "Yeah, go on. I'm listening."

"Well, I stopped by the café to get a drink. I decided it would be a good idea to just stay there and finish it off. I was distracted by my phone the whole time I was there, so I hadn't noticed that time completely flew by. Next thing I know the sun was gone and it was dark out. My phone ended up dying on me, so I knew it wouldn't be a good idea for me to try and walk home all by myself especially at those hours. So, I just walked to Baekhyun's considering the fact that his place was closer and his parents wouldn't mind it."

His mother nodded believing his lie. "Okay, I guess that's understandable...But you could have charged your phone when you got there and texted me where you were. Jungkook, you know how I feel about things like this."

"Mom, I know and I'm so sorry. Its just I completely forgot to charge my phone when I got there. Like I said before it was pretty late and I was exhausted. I wasn't thinking straight. I promise it will never happen again."

She took him into another hug and smiled feeling more at ease with her son back at home and in her arms. "Promise?"

"Yes, mom I promise."

Jungkook was stunned his mother believed him. When Jimin told him to tell his mother that he didn't think it would actually work. Then again knowing Jimin and his line of work is he really surprised that he can come up with such good lies?

She pulled away and gave him a peck on his forehead. "Good. I was so worried about you. God, knows what could have happened with you out there being so vulnerable and-"

"Mom."

"Okay, I'll stop but you never know what people are capable of these days. Have you watched the news lately?"

Jungkook shook his head and chuckled. "No, I haven't actually. Anyways, I have some homework I should get too."

"Okay, oh and Jungkook..."

"Hm?"

"...I love you."

Jungkook's smile grew. "I love you too."

He trudged up the stairs then walked into his room and felt relief rush over him. He was so glad she believed him.

Jungkook was actually really ecstatic to be back home. In his own room. It wasn't a lot or very fancy, but he loved it. It was nice and cozy and his style.

He placed his bookbag on his floor and tossed himself onto his bed. He cuddled into his blankets and sighed.

Jungkook just laid there. Thinking about Taehyung. He wondered if he was thinking about him too. Probably, not. Deep down inside he knew Taehyung was just using him, but no one likes to see the truth. So, he tried his hardest not to. Even if in the end it meant him getting hurt.

✨✨✨

Everyone was getting their gear together when Jimin walked into the mansion.

Hoseok stopped what he was doing and looked up. "Where have you been? You're more late than usual."

"None of your business." Jimin answered placing his bookbag on the couch. He walked over to help the rest of the gang.

Seokjin rolled his eyes as he continued to type away on his laptop. He was hacking into Kai's emails at the time. "Answer him."

Jimin stopped packing guns into a dufflebag before he sighed. "I gave Jungkook a ride home." He looked to Hoseok. "Happy?"

Taehyung put a magazine into his 9 mm pistol and smirked. "Oh yeah?"

He hated to admit it, but Jungkook was growing on him. His quirky personality and how obedient he was. Taehyung was thinking about him all day. Wondering how his day was going. Which was strange because he couldn't even give two fucks about everyone else he used. Now, with Jungkook he was actually wondering how his day was going. Even hearing his name made him smile a bit.

Jimin went back to packing the dufflebags. "Yeah. I felt obligated too, anyways."

Hoseok questioned him again. "Why?"

Jimin slapped an Ak-12 down on the table gaining everyone's attention. He knew Hoseok liked him. Hoseok wasn't one who was subtle about anything. Yet, Jimin was starting to get annoyed by it all. Him acting like their dating and that he needs to know every little thing going on in his life. He was sick of it. Not to mention Hoseok is very clingy, Jimin hated clingy people.

"Why can't you just leave me alone for five fucking seconds? Without questioning every little thing that I do? Why do you even fucking do that?"

"I don't know maybe because I worry about you? Ever figured that maybe just maybe someone in your fucked up life actually cares about your ass."

"Okay, well then good for you for having a heart of gold, but damn stop worrying about me. I can handle my own god damn self."

Hoseok put the dufflebag that he was holding down on the table and walked over to Jimin and shoved him. "You know what Jimin fuck you."

Jimin pushed him back. "Fuck you too, Hoseok."

They stood face to face glaring at each other. The others stood there waiting for either one of them to make the next move. Hoseok balled up his fist and was going to say something smart back until Seokjin spoke up.

"Jimin, go check on Yoongi. Hoseok, start packing up the van."

They both turned to look at Seokjin clearly annoyed that he interrupted their little argument.
Seokjin raised his eyebrows. "Did I fucking stutter? Now."

Hoseok scoffed and purposely nudge into Jimin as he turned back around. "Oops."

Jimin stumbled back a bit.

Hoseok smirked while raising his hands up in defense. "Sorry, guess I didn't see you there."

He was going to call Hoseok out for it until Seokjin spoke back up again. "Now."

Jimin rolled his eyes then made his way up the stairs into Yoongi's room. "Fucking dick."

"Headass." Hoseok faked a cough grabbing a few dufflebags from off the table and made his way out the front door.

Namjoon laughed under his breath. "Those two I swear..."

Seokjin called Taehyung over to him. Taehyung did so but not before sliding his handgun down into his dr martens.

"What did you find out?"

Seokjin clicked on one email sighing. "Bad news. Turns out: He had a change of plans for tonight. He won't be alone. He set up a meeting with his crew-"

Taehyung scoffed. "Bad news? Seokjin, how could this be bad news? Looks like we'll be having more fun than we planned tonight."

Namjoon aimed a gun at a wall and smiled devilishly. "Its about damn time."

Cries were now being heard coming from the coat closet by the front door of the mansion. Namjoon and Seokjin looked to Taehyung.

"Want me to handle it?" Namjoon asked.

Taehyung shook his head. "No, I got it." He walked over to the closet and opened the door. A boy in his early twenties fell to the ground with tears streaming down his face. He tried to break free from the ropes they had tied him up with.

Taehyung kneeled down to his level. "Comfortable?"

He cried out more. Its not like he could answer. They duct taped his mouth shut.

Taehyung chuckled. "Ah, you know its a shame your brother fucked us over.

His cries began to settle down after hearing about Kai. He looked Taehyung in the eyes. Fear written all over his face.

"Yeah, that's right sweetheart. If your brother hadn't done this shit then you wouldn't be here. Don't worry, though. He's going to pay."

He shook his head no fiercely.

"I'll let you in on a little secret, though. You know just between the two of us...If he does exactly what we ask. You'll live. But if he makes one wrong move...you'll die and we're going to make him watch."

✨✨✨

Jungkook ran his hands through his hair, frustrated. He was almost finished with his homework, but these last few problems had him stumped.

He texted Baekhyun asking him if he knew what was he doing and if he got the answers.

He waited but no response.

Which was strange because Baekhyun always responded to Jungkook within a blink of an eye.

Jungkook shrugged it off. He knew Baekhyun wasn't by his phone all the time, and he shouldn't just expect him to answer so quickly. Yet, he was in dire need.

He really wanted to pass his classes with all A's and B's. He didn't want to risk anything to set him back from that.

Jungkook had locked himself up in his bedroom for the past two hours finishing up homework for the night and the homework from the night before. Even though it was Friday he was still assigned homework. He could swear he was about to lose his mind.

Still with no text back from Baekhyun, Jungkook just decided that he would go spend time with his mother to relax and hopefully come back to Baekhyun's message later on.

He rolled out of bed then made his way downstairs. He greeted his mom as he went into the kitchen to get a drink.

"Finished your homework already?"

"...Mhm..."

She nodded as she flipped through the channels. "Want to watch tv with me, sweetie?"

Jungkook opened up a cabinet and pulled out a glass along with getting a straw. "Sure." He went to the refrigerator and poured some lemonade into it.

He walked into the living and sat down next to his mother. "What are we watching?"

She shrugged. "Whatever you'd like, but first I need my daily dose of the news."

Jungkook nodded.

So far the only news that was on was how some students were going on strike due to their school's harsh dress code they enforced on them. A girl was suspended for wearing a skirt that reached above her knees.

Jungkook's mother shook her head in disbelief. "Sometimes I wonder who is actually in charge of those rules ya know? So I can give it to them straight. Girls-"

She stopped talking remembering how Jungkook dressed. Jungkook looked at her with furrowed eyebrows sipping on his straw.

"I mean...no one should be prevented from learning just because of how they dress. No matter the gender. Students go there to learn. Not to be judge for their fashion choices."

Jungkook nodded in agreement turning his attention back to the tv.

Suddenly the report of the school strike was cut off and a news anchor began to talk. She looked rather horrified as she read her script from the teleprompter.

"Police were just called to a scene by an anonymous caller. They stated that they heard gun shots coming just from a few blocks down from where they live. They claimed to have heard it go on for sometime before actually calling the police. Not sure of what to do. Once police arrived at the scene they were stunned to say the least."

His mother leaned in closer to the screen becoming invested in what she was saying. While, Jungkook began to drink his lemonade again.

"It was a blood bath. Police have yet to find out the identities of  these victims. Yet, one in particular caught their eye that they were able to recognize in a matter if seconds. A young man in his earlier twenties...Turns out he was the younger brother of the gang leader, Kim Jongin, better known as Kai. He was murdered-"

Jungkook choked on his drink and was unable to stop coughing. His mother quickly placed the remote down and pat him on his back, repeatedly.

Once Jungkook calmed down he looked into the distance bewildered. His thoughts running wild.

Who else could have done this other than...them. Did they really go through with their plan, or was this some coincidence? Was he now a 'witness' to a planned murder? Would he get in trouble for what they've done?

"Police believe that the gang is actually in a rivalry with another gang...."

Should he tell someone?...No, no he couldn't. What about what Taehyung said to him if he did tell? Deep down inside though Jungkook could really care less about how Taehyung threatened him. Yes, it scared him, but not being Taehyung's property scared him more.

He needed Taehyung. He found it somewhat ridiculous how he didn't even spend enough time with him to really fall. Yet, he did...and hard at that.

So regardless of him not wanting to tell he couldn't if he wanted to anyways. Him and his mother's lives could be at stake. Hell, maybe even his father's.

"Jungkook, sweetie? You okay..."

Jungkook nodded and wryly smiled at his mother. "Yeah, I'm just gonna go and uh...yeah."

"Oh my poor baby. Did the news scare you?"

No.

"Y-yes."

She sighed. "Oh...I should start watching the news when you aren't around. Especially, with everything going on. You shouldn't be hearing things like this. Well, I guess I could let you go for now. But tomorrow is our day to hang out. To spend some quality time together. Alright?"

Jungkook smiled, genuinely happy. "Okay."

He went back upstairs with his drink in hand. When he went back into his room he practically wanted to cry seeing his homework still on his bed.

"Fuck..."

Jungkook went to check his phone and still no response from Baekhyun. Okay, now this was really strange. Why wasn't he responding?

He shrugged and pushed his homework off to the side. He put his drink on his nightstand then laid down.

Jungkook stared up at his ceiling with a blank mind. Blacking out was a bad habit of his. He always got lost in his thoughts.

Well, mainly because he was a deep thinker. Other times were because he loved to think about his future. Questions ran through his mind such as will be married in five years? Will him and his future partner adopt kids?...If not then would he die alone?

Ironically enough as he thought about his future Taehyung popped into his head.

It was strange because he knew for a fact that someone like Taehyung wouldn't settle down for anyone. Especially with him. There was no way in hell. Yet, Jungkook's mind wondered. He couldn't help it.

✨✨✨

After the 'dispute' with Kai and his followers they drove away from the scene in their getaway van. Hoseok was driving. Seokjin in the passenger seat. Taehyung and Namjoon sat in the middle. And in the back sat Jimin.

"That was fun. Too bad some bitch had to call the cops ending the fun so early." Taehyung whined.

Namjoon eyed him. "I almost fucking died back there."

Taehyung nudged him in his arm. "Oh come on. Live a little."

"You're fucking crazy."

"And so are you because if you weren't then why would you be working for someone like me?"

Namjoon scoffed crossing his arms. "I'm actually pissed that you have a point, smartass."

"I need something to clean this shit up." Jimin said lifting his hands up showing all the blood on them.

"Wipe it on your shirt. We don't have anything else to clean it up at the moment." Seokjin responded leaning his head against his window.

As he gazed out the window he began to recall the events of what just happened. Even though they did this type of shit everyday sometimes it still amazed him how each one of them could kill someone right then and there...and feel nothing. Were they really all mad?

They- well Taehyung, just shot Kai's little brother in front of his own eyes as he held him down. Mad? That word just didn't cut it for Seokjin.

Jimin groaned. "Whatever."

Taehyung did what Seokjin did and looked out his own window. He began to think about Jungkook. He missed everything about him. From his cute little giggles to his lust filled moans.

"Stop whining." Hoseok rolled his eyes.

Jimin eyed him. "Fuck off."

"Jimin, I will stop this car and beat your god damn ass. Just try me."

"Then fucking do it you stupid cunt-"

Taehyung raised his hand up demanding the two to stop fighting. Both looked at Taehyung's hand and shut up immediately. Hoseok sighed glaring at Jimin through the rear view mirror. Taehyung pointed at Jimin. "Where does Jungkook live?"

Jimin raised his eyebrows. "What?"

"Do you remember where he lives? You said you drove him home ealier so, where does he live? Give Hoseok the address. I want to visit my doll."
