I was walking home. It was starting to get dark,but I wasn't far from home. All of the sudden,I felt like someone or something was watching me. I looked around. Nothing could be seen or heard except the breeze softly whistling through the trees. I started walking faster,hoping nothing was following me. I got home, opened the front door,and saw my mom taking down the old wallpaper. "Taking it down already?" I asked, surprised she got to it. "Yeah,I decided to get an early start on it." "Ok,cool. I'm going to go upstairs and read." I walked upstairs in my room and picked up my book. I was reading,when all of the sudden,I heard footsteps from the attic. "Is anyone up there?" I thought. "Mom, is anyone in the attic?" I call downstairs. "No,why?" She yells back."Just wondering." I say. I walked in the hallway,about to make my way to the attic. When I went in the attic,I saw a strange shadow. It turned around,smiled at me, and said "Don't be scared."
