Jake and Engene have been together for a while now. It's been months and we can say that they have a healthy relationship.

Right now, they're heading to their house. Their own house.

Jake's parents bought them a house. Like a peace offering because of what Mr. Shim did and for them forcing Jaeyun to marry someone he doesn't love nor like. It's also a gift for Engene as well.

"We're here" Jake said as he parked the car in the garage. Jake watched how Engene ran inside the house excitedly.

"Damn, it's so simple but pretty!" Engene exclaimed as he scan the house. It's still a bit empty since they just arrived but some of their things are already here. There are furnitures around already as well.

"I know, baby. But let's go unpack our things first then you can look around after" Jake said, pecking Engene's lips after.

And they started to unpack.

Jake is upstairs, in their bedroom. He's unpacking their clothes while Engene is downstairs, inside the kitchen.

The house is really new, it actually looks like it's newly made since they can still smell the faint smell of paints.

It's because their parents thought of building and giving them their own house. They hired professional engineers, architect and workers to build the house. It was successful.

After Engene finished all the things he need to fix/arrange at the kitchen, he went to the living room. It's all clean, even the furnitures.

Since it's all clean downstairs, he headed upstairs to explore the house.

There's another room, it looks like a study room slash office. It looks modern. Actually, the whole house looks so modern. Black, gray, brown, dark brown and white paintings around the house.

After exploring all the rooms upstairs, Engene headed to their shared bedroom.

When he entered, he saw Jake placing their pictures in a frame on the side table.

"Jaeyun, love" Engene called as he approach him. Jake turned around with a smile.

"Hmm, love?" Jake hummed. Once Engene got closer, Jake wrapped both of his arms around Engene's waist and pulled him a lot more closer.

"I love you" Jake whispered and leaned closer, resting his forehead on Engene's.

"I love you more, Jaeyun-ah"

"How much?"

"Too much that even words can't explain how much I love you. How about you, hmm? How much do you love me?"

"I love you more than anything, I love you the most, I love you more than my life" Jake said so sweetly. Engene responded with a cute giggle, earning a coo from Jake.

Jake pecked Engene's lips. Engene just giggled, wrapping his arms around Jake's neck.

"Ah! Jaeyun!" Engene screamed when Jake suddenly pushed him to the bed. Jake laughed and Engene slapped him on his chest.

"What?" Engene asked when he noticed that Jake was staring at him. Jake shook his head and leaned down, pressing his lips on Engene's, which caught the latter off guard.

A second passed, Engene closed his eyes and kissed back. He let Jake dominate him through the kiss in most intimate ways.

Engene's hands travelled to Jake's shoulders, down to his chest, until he reached the hem of Jake's shirt. He pulled it upwards, taking it off. Jake also removed Engene's shirt, now they're both half naked.

Then Jake went back on kissing him while his hands are rested on Engene's bare waist and Engene's hands are roaming around Jake's body.

Skin to skin. Lips to lips. Tongue to tongue.

Jake broke the kiss after a minute so they can catch their breaths. He then rested his forehead on Engene's, their noses touching.

"I love you. I really do" Jake whispered. They're close enough to make their lips touch everytime Jake would speak.

"I know. I love you more"

"Engene!" Jake called from downstairs.

"What?!" Engene responded from upstairs.

"Come here, babe!" Jake shouted.

Engene sighed as went out of the room and headed downstairs. He saw Jake sitting on the couch.

"Why? Do you need something, love?" Engene asked as he approach Jake, standing infront of him.

"Our parents are coming here" Jake said. Engene looked at the wall clock to check the time.

"It's evening already. What time are they going to arrive?"

"Mom said an hour or two"

"Oh.. I'll cook some dinner later, than"

"Nah, I can do it"

"Let's do it together, less work"

"Are you sure you'll cook?" Engene asked for the fifth time. Jake sighed before answering.

"Yes, baby. Why? Are you doubting my cooking skills?" Jake asked with a pout. Engene giggled and pinched Jake's cheeks.

"It's not like that, love. I mean, you might want to do something else, plus, I can cook by myself"

"But I want to help you this time. Just tell me what I need to do so I won't mess up, hmm?"

"Alright, if you say so. Let's start cooking, then. First things first, wash your hands" Engene said. Jake laughed a little and followed him.

Then they started. Jake followed everything that Engene would say. They started off by preparing all the ingredients, cutting and finally cooking.

"Here, taste it" Engene said as he used a spoon to get some soup and out it next to Jake's mouth.

"Aw! It's still hot" Jake winced when the hot soup touched his lips. It's not that hot, he's just teasing Engene.

"Oh, shit. I'm so sorry, baby. Does it hurt?"

"Yes, it does. I might need a kiss" Jake said. Engene rolled his eyes, knowing that Jake is playing around.

"Whatever. You can look after this right? I want to shower already, I feel sticky because of sweat"

"Go on, love. But tell me how long I should wait before turning the stove off"

"You can turn if off after five minutes" Engene said. He was about to go back Jake pulled him back.

"Nah-ah, not so fast. Give me my kiss first, my lips hurt a little"

"If it hurts, then why would I kiss it? Dumbass"

"Please, baby? I want a kiss, please"

"God, you're such a baby" Engene said, his voice sounds so sassy. Still, he pecked Jake's lips, and licked it after. Just to tease him.

Engene smiled when he saw Jake's shocked reaction before running away, knowing that Jake won't let him go until he's shirtless and panting for air.

"Hey! Come back here!" Jake shouted.

"No shit sherlock!" Engene said, his loud and sweet giggles filling the house.

Jake smiled as he heard Engene's sweet giggles. He then focused on the food that's still on the stove and waited for five minutes to pass.

After five minutes, Jake turned it off. He just let the food on the pot since it'll get cold if he would put it on the plate already.

Jake then headed upstairs to take a bath as well. And since Engene is not yet done taking a bath, guess they'll have to do it together.

"Fuck! What are you doing here?!" Engene screamed when Jake entered the bathroom.

"You didn't even locked the door" Jake said, chuckling as he took his clothes off.

"Oh" Engene muttered when realization hit him.

"We're going to shower together?" He asked.

"Yeah. Got a problem with it?"

"Nah. Come here"

They definitely did something more than showering.

"My ass hurts" Engene stated. He and Jake just got out from the bathroom and now taking their clothes on.

"I know. But does it hurt that much?"

"Of course! I fell on the bathroom floor, fucker! Of course, it would hurt so much" Engene said with a pout.

Earlier while showering, they were making out. Jake's back was pressed against the wall and there's a little bit space between them so Jake pulled Engene closer but he accidentally slipped. He literally fell infront of Jake which is a bit awkward but Jake immediately helped but of course, that dummy laughed his ass off first.

"I'm sorry, my baby" Jake chuckled and pecked Engene's lips, hoping that it would make it up to him.

"Nope. You can't get me with a kiss this time. I'm never ever going to let you shower with me ever again"

"Even if we're finally married?" Jake asked carefully, leaving Engene dumbfounded.

"C-can you repeat what you j-just said?" Engene said. Jake chuckled. He was about to kiss Engene but the doorbell disturbed them.

"Why do they ways have to interrupt us whenever we're doing something important?" Jake groaned as he approach the door.

"Important my ass" Engene mumbled. He just followed Jake who already opened the front door. Engene's eyes lit up when he saw a familiar girl entering the house.

"Ningning!" He called. Engene ran towards Ningning and threw himself to hug her. Ningning giggled as he also wrap his arms around Engene, returning the hug.

"I missed you!" Engene said, tightening his hug even more.

"I missed you too but damn! I can't breath!"

"Oh, sorry" Engene pulled away and gave an apologetic smile.

"Hey" Jake greeted, also going her a quick hug. Meanwhile, Engene greeted both of his and Jake's parents. Jake also did the same but only to Engene's parents. He just gave his parents a glance.

"Where's Mr. and Mrs. Yizhuo?" Engene asked as they enter the kitchen.

"They're busy so only Ningning got the chance to come with us, maybe they'll come with us one day" Mrs. Min answered, knowing that Jake would pretend he didn't heard anything if the answer came from his mom or dad.

Jake and Engene helped each other to set up the table. They all gathered around and started eating.

"How're you two here?" Mrs. Shim asked but Jake only gave her a glance. Engene nudged Jake by his elbows, signalling him to answer.

"We're both doing good" Jake said and gave a fake smile.

"Really? That's good"

"Uh.. m-mom" Jake hesitantly called. Mrs. Shim looked happier than ever as she look at Jake.

"Yes, sweetie?"

"I can marry someone I want, right?"

"Of course, you do. Why? Are you planning to marry now?"

"Not yet, I think it's still too early for me and Engene to get married" Engene literally choked on his food after hearing his name and about marriage.

"Here, drink water. You good, love?" Jake said and gave him a glass of water.

"I– I'm good. Why the fuck would you say that?" Engene hissed as he whispered.

"Why? Don't you want to marry me?"

"It's not like that, dummy! Of course, I want to. It's just that, I didn't expect that you'll bring that up"

"Listen here, you two" Mr. Shim spoke up. Jake and Engene sat up properly and looked at him.

"Do you want to get married?" Mr. Shim asked. Jake almost rolled his eyes at the question.

"We do"

"Then, shall we plan about it?"

"Isn't it too early? I'm not rushing it. I'm already sure about Engene, so no need to rush it"

"I know. But do you want to marry already? I mean, we don't have a problem with it"

"I do. But I want to wait for the right timing, I haven't proposed yet. It's not even a year since we got together"

"That doesn't matter. Just inform us if you two are ready and we will help with the wedding" Mr. Shim said.

"Thanks" Jake mumbled but loud enough for them to hear.

Yes, he hates his father. But he also appreciate the things he's doing to make their relationship better.

"Come visit us next time, Engene really missed you" Jake said, pertaining to Ningning. They're done with the visit and going home already.

"Yeah, don't worry. I have lots of free time so I might visit you" Ningning said. He went to Engene to give him one more hug.

"Let's hangout sometimes, yeah? Only the three of us, I miss those times"

"Sure, why not? Just call us, Jaeyun and I will answer immediately"

"Hmm. Gotta go now, Giselle is probably waiting for me at home. Bye bye, Jake! Engene!" Ningning waved at the two and went to the car.

"We're going now, son" Mr. Shim said, catching both of Jake and Engene's attention.

"Yeah. Thanks for visiting us" Jake said and gave him a hug. Mr. Shim was stunned for almost a minute, thinking that he might be dreaming or something. But when Jake tightened his hold, Mr. Shim instantly wrapped his arms around Jake.

"You're forgiven, you're still my dad after all" Jake whispered. Engene smiled as he heard what Jake said.

He still has the purest heart.

"Thanks for visiting, mom, dad" Engene said and hugged his parents.

"If Jake won't propose to you, propose to him instead. You're the only one I want for my son" Me. Shim whispered when he hugged Engene. Engene chuckled and nodded as he pull away.

"We're going now. Have a good night, you two" Mrs. Min said. After they bid goodbyes, they finally left.

"Wanna watch the stars tonight, love?" Jake asked as soon as their parents' car disappeared from their sights.

"Sure" Engene responded.

The two of them made sure that the doors and windows are all locked then they all headed upstairs. They went to the balcony connected to their bedroom to watch the stars.

Jake placed his arms on the railings while Engene is in between. Soon after, Jake slowly wrapped his arms around Engene's waist.

"Engene?"

"Hmm?"

"Do you think forever exists? Do you think it'll be the two of us forever?"

"No, I don't believe in forevers. As long as you and I are alive, it will be us. Remember the promises we made when we were kids?"

"Which one?"

"Which promise do you remember the most? Like, it's in your heart or something like that"

Jake smiled as memories from the past washed through his mind.

(Flashback)

"Engene! Come here!" A ten year old kid named Jake called. They're currently at their favorite park.

"Why?" Engene asked.

"Look at this tree.. if we write our names here, we will be together, forever" Jake said as he pull Engene under the big tree.

"But forever doesn't exist, right?"

"I don't know.. but I want to write our names here" Jake said. Engene nodded and took something from the ground and gave it to Jake.

"Let's write our names, then" He said. Jake smiled as they write their names on the three. They faced each other after.

"Promise me you won't ever leave me? Till death do us apart?" Jake said, showing his pinky. Engene nodded and connected their pinkies.

"I promise. Till death do us apart"

"The promise we made under the tree.. do you still remember it?" Jake asked as he slowly made Engene turn around.

"Which... oh. That one? Of course. It's the most memorable moment we had when we were kids"

"We'll fulfill it, right, baby?"

"We will"

"Would you mind saying it again? Our promise?" Jake asked. Engene giggled as he nodded, showing his pinky.

"Till death do us apart"
