i strip down to only my underwear and bra before crawling into bed. it feels cold, its been this way since you left.

like every night, i spend a good ten minutes just staring at the empty spot next to me. i can almost see you lying there, staring right back at me with the most heartwarming smile on your face. youre humming relaxing melodies while caressing my hair.

after what seems like forever, i finally close my eyes and let the exhaustion take over my body, my mind gradually clearing and my sadness fading  ever so slowly.

why can i only see you in my dreams?
