Chapter 3
Oh. My. Godess.
The guards hadn't spotted them yet. And they were standing right out in the open, with no cover within quick running distance. It was unbelievable. The guards didn't notice the siblings until they were inside the Deaqui. Then, a female guard recognised the former prisoners, and yelled for assistance to bring them back to the cells. Or at least, she yelled for Abby to be brought to the cells. No-one noticed Cole. But there were still footprints appearing behind him. The footprints made the guards afraid, and when they were afraid they would try to attack, because they had this funny feeling that Cole was trying to harm them. Instead, Cole wandered off to inspect the Deaqui's explosives. There were a lot. And all of them activated others. Now, if he could just make it look like someone had been careless and activated one, it might work... But making innocents lose their jobs was not his way. No, his way was making the person in charge lose his job.Abby was feeling kinda scared. She had no way to know what Cole's plan was, and if she knew her older brother, which she didn't, then he would be either still examining the explosives and trying to figure out who to get fired, or he was ditching their plan and going on with his own. Sometimes it was annoying, having an older sibling.Cole knew what to do. The guards had come charging into the room, where he was standing in the middle of it, examining all the explosives in the room at once. The guards were now pocking and prodding every part of the room, except for where he was. So Cole wandered over to where 2 guards were working side by side, and silently tripped one of them up. "OI!" the guard yelled at his companion. "WHAT DID YOU DO THAT FOR?!" The other guard was, as expected, shocked and confused at the suggestion that she'd tripped him up.They yelled for a bit at each other, then a fight broke out between the two, with Cole adding his bits. The other guards, bored with the task at hand, took the chance to fight each other eagerly, leaping onto each other's backs and trying to rip out their hair.Cole's stomach was starting to hurt with the effort of keeping the laughter in. It was just so funny to see the normally dignified guards screaming insults and jumping on other's backs. But little did he know, the fun was going to end quickly. Eve, Captain of the Guards, came into the room to help the guards search for the intruder, and instead found a bunch of guards with their shirts off, trying to kill each other. "WHAT IS GOING ON IN HERE?!" She yelled over the volume of the men's screaming. The battles stopped immediately, and the men shamefully put their t-shirts back on. Cole was disappointed. Really disappointed.
