Chapter 6
Alexa and Tracy both sat under the olive tree, its hard bark on their backs, or wings in Tracy's case. Alexa had her knees up to her chin with her arms wrapped around them as her tail laid on top of Tracy's hand. Tracy kept a wing wrapped around Alexa as the two sat under the tree, that's when, surprisingly, Alexa, broke their silence.
"You want to know what happened back in the sky, don't you?" Alexa asked, still keeping her tail on Tracy's hand as her gaze stuck on the cloudy sky. Tracy looked over at her in a mix of confusion and surprise, she hesitantly nodded.
Alexa just smiled faintly, her tail gently lifted up and down on Tracy's hand. She then began, "Well, do you want the big or the small explanation?" Tracy stifled a chuckle and quickly put a serious face on, seeing how distant and, slightly sad, Alexa seemed. Like she was trying to find a face among a sea of strangers, like she was lost and no one was there but she didn't know about either. Tracy could see Alexa was definitely hiding her emotions.
"Which ever one is better for you tell?" She said with a small smile, hoping to bring up the mood. It worked thankfully, as Alexa smiled she let out a short sigh, her tail stayed still and limp on Tracy's hand.
"Well, I have a fear of heights and have panic attacks easily, so I began to panic in the sky and just, I don't know how to explain it. My sense's went numb, I could only feel fear and panic, my heart felt like it was going to pop, and I just couldn't figure out how breath." She confessed, a small little tear in her eye as a distant memory resurfaced.
Two huge, leathery wings wrapped around her, "It's okay, I will never do anything like that with you ever again, on my word as a Darastrix di Ixen." A calm and soothing voice muttered to her. Then's when Tracy's breath hitched as one of her wings went limp, in a scared frenzy she whipped around, fire blazing from her mouth as she felt her bones crack and reshape, in a flash she was a fiery red dragon.
Alexa looked over Tracy's lean figure and saw a thin and sick looking werewolf, in their hands was a bow, and right in Tracy's left wing socket was a arrow. Oh no.
