Tony dropped me onto a couch behind the stage, looking around to see my father, mother, Clark, Luna Shayla, and some warriors. I blushed once again as they all looked at us with curiosity.

"Alpha James, it is my sad duty to report that your daughter has gone against my orders and has worn those shoes with that amazing dress."

I stared at my brother with my mouth agape. He can't be serious. Can he? The warriors looked on in amusement at the unfolding scene, all except one. He looked bored and rather tired.

The new Alpha chuckled softly, watching his children with a raised brow. "Well then warrior Tony, what do you wish me to do."

Tony looked down at me with a smirked. Uh-oh, that can't be good...

He turned back to our father and bowed his head, "Alpha, I wish her to wear the shoes that I bought for the rest of the day."

I gasped and sat upright, he couldn't be serious. Those shoes would kill me, sure they were cute but a four inch heel is not comfortable to walk on, even if it's on wedges.

Father nodded his head towards Tony, "So it shall be. Rose you shall wear the shoes that he speaks of for the rest of the night. Tony take her to put her shoes on, Blaine go with and make sure she keeps them on for the remaining of the time."

I watched as my father nodded once more in satisfaction before I  squealed as Tony picked me up again carrying me back towards the Alpha's house. The blond haired warrior, Blaine, followed along behind us, amused at my attempts of escaping my brother's grasp. The worst thing was, Tony took us straight through the crowd of partying wolves.

I stopped trying to escape, smiling and waving at everyone we passed. My dress better be covering my ass.

I growl at Tony as we walk up the few steps to the front door of the Alpha's home. Once inside, he plopps me on the couch in the living room and tells Blaine to watch me as he goes upstairs to retrieve the horridly beautiful shoes.

Crossing my arms over my chest, I looked over to the blue-eyed warrior who was leaning against the wall. He was only a few years older than myself but he was the second best fighter in our pack and he still hasn't found his mate.

It didn't bother me that I walked around with unmated males all the time, what did bother me though was when they get this look that would make anyone nervous.

Kind of like the look I was receiving from the younger warrior right now, "So... Rose... You're birthday's in a few days. Think you'll find your mate?"

I only shrugged and looked away, willing Tony to come down and save me from the questions that Blaine must be wanting to ask.

Every she-wolf knew that most males wanted to be mated to someone close to the Alpha or Beta and since I was the Beta's daughter and now the Alpha's, and still unmated they usually turn towards me. Thankfully, there are some males that actually like me as a friend and not just for a rank change.

Tony must have finally heard my silent plea as he came down the stairs with the wedges for me to put on. I groaned as he dropped them in front of me at my feet, but like a good little girl I took my battered shoes off and put the wedges on instead.

Then the three of us walked back outside to the party, well they walked and I tried not to break my neck. As we moved closer, it was easy to tell everyone was anxiously waiting for for nightfall. Waitung for the new Beta to be named.

It was now nearly eleven by the time my father returned to the stage, clearing his throat into the microphone to gain everyone's attention. Lights had been turned on hours ago to illuminate the celebration, a spotlight from who knows where focused on the new Alpha that stood center stage.

I turned around with everyone else and almost fell because of the cursed shoes I was being forced to wear, thankfully Blaine steadied me before I could face plant. It was still hard to believe that Tony had actually went to our father and had him use his new authority to get me to wear the devil's favorite shoes. I also thought Blaine was just to come to the house with us, not follow me around for the rest of the night.

"If I could have your attention please. It is high time to announce the new Beta of this pack." There was a pause as he looked out into the sea of anticipation, "Joshua Franco and Eric Denim, please step onto the stage."

Two men emerged from the crowd, walking alongside each other in the aisle that had been created by bodies, they split at the middle of the stage and walked up the stairs on either side. The Alpha kept his gaze ahead, not looking at either one of them as the walked up on either side of him, not giving away who was to become Beta.
He held his hands out, palms up expectantly. The two men glanced at each other before each taking one of his hands, once their palms met my father's he closed his eyes for a minute.

Silence filled the clearing as everyone held their breath and leaned closer as they awaited the verdict. His green eyes opened as he dropped their hands from his and looked out into the crowd, "The Beta has been chosen." He took a step forward before turning around to face the two warriors that stood with him on the stage. "The new Beta shall be... Eric." His head turned towards the male with short shaggy brown hair, his expression showing complete shock. "Eric Denim, warrior of Moonpack. Do you accept the Beta position that has been offered?"

Eric quickly dropped down onto one knee and lowered his head, he spoke loud enough so everyone could hear him. "I, Eric Denim, accept the position of Beta that has been offered."

Father put his hand on his shoulder and told him to rise, "Then from this day on you shall be known as Beta Eric of the Moonpack."

Eric rose, his head high as he was met with cheering. The other man, Joshua, walked up to him with an extended hand to shake and congratulate him on the position. As soon as the Alpha went to the side of the stage, everyone started partying again.

Blaine had gotten pulled away by a girl, so I took the opportunity and took off the wretched shoes. Once they were off, I sighed in relief for now I could really party. A Luke Bryan song came on and everyone started dancing and having fun like their lives depended on it. Someone came up behind me and spun me around, thinking it was a friend I let them. But when I was turned around completely, I couldn't think.

Someone's lips had pressed against mine. I looked up dumbfounded to see that it was the new Beta, Eric. He pulled back, a smirk tugging on the corners of his lips when people started cheering around us.

This only caused my cheeks to heat up and looking around I saw my father looking our way with a grimace. I'm almost positive he would have hopped off the stage and stormed over, but he couldn't do anything about it. It was a tradition for new Betas, when one was chosen a party takes place and while that party is happening the Beta is allowed to kiss an unmated female, no matter who it was.

While I was contemplating what to say to the man in front of me, I heard footsteps coming up behind me once again while someone was yelling angrily. Who's that? They didn't sound or smell familiar.

I turned around only to be moved aside before the man who had moved me raised his fist and went at Eric.

Don't mind me, just filling you guys in on the chapters and how long they've gotten once revised and organized. This new chapter's word count has 1373 (not counting this AN). They old chapters that became this one were chapters five and six. More updates to come!
