I’m wrapping presents this Christmas…

very pregnant, sitting on the floor, paper everywhere,
and it just hit me.

This is the last Christmas like this.

Same tree.
Same living room.
Same me.

But next year?

One more stocking.
One more name on a tag.
One more little presence changing the whole room.

This season feels like a pause you don’t realize is happening until you’re in it.
The calm before the magic gets louder.

And I’m soaking it in,
because next Christmas, everything will be fuller in the best way.
