Tristan's POV
I was walking to Lorna's house, the weather colder than ever. Why is England soo cold? I reach her doorstep and knock on the door.
"Alright blondie?"
"Seriously?" I ask.
She looks at me confused but then makes way for me to come in. I look around, entering each room and it all looks soo homey.
"Nice house, you've got."
"Yeah, its alright." she shrugs as I smirk.
"Do you live alone?" I ask as I sit down on one of the spinny stools in the kitchen, the room that we are in now.
"Yeah."
"Why?" I question. She freezes and looks at me, those green eyes glaring and me.
She immediately moves her eyes away from me and stares at the floor, before walking out of the room. I follow her, up the stairs and she goes to a door. She opens it, closing it and locks it, even before I could come in.
"Lorna? Why did you walk off?"
I knock on her door again and again but no answer. The door finally swings open to find her standing, head facing the floor.
"Lorna?"
"Yes?"
"What happened?"
"Nothing."
"It didn't look like it was nothing."
"Let's just revise, yeah?"
Why does she always change the subject? We walk into her study room, where some maths sheets and textbooks were layed across her small table. I walk over to it and sit down, her following me and sitting in the chair opposite me.
"What do you need me to do then?"
"Highlight any keywords or facts that explains interior angles and then write down the definitions of the keywords, using the dictionary."
I obey what she had said, writing down the bullet-pointed sentences and bold words in my notebook. After all that, I grab the dictionary from the bookshelf and sit down once again. I search up the words that I had written down and came across the word 'decagon'.
"What does decagon mean?"
"Is it not in the dictionary?"
"Don't you think I've checked there?" I spit as I see her tense before she looks up to me, her lips flat as a line.
"Its a 10 sided shape, happy?" she sighs. I nod, writing it down with a smug on my face.
You're wondering I'm acting like a complete dick? She didn't answer my question from before. And she ignored me. She looks up to me, opens her mouth to say something but nothing comes out.
"Yes?"
"What's with the attitude, Evans?"
"What attitude, Taylor?"
"You know what attitude. What's with the stuckup 5 year old act?" she argues. My jaw clenched, and my fist tighten, smacking it on the table.
"Tristan, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to—"
"Don't. Just fucking don't."
I get up and walk out of the room into the bathroom. I slam the door shut, walks over the sink, turning the tap on and splashes cold water on my face.
"Blondie? I'm really sorry if I've upset you? I didn't mean to, honest." she whimpers as I sigh, opening the door to find a innocent Lorna standing outside.
"Its okay, I just get stressed over a lot of things easily." I mumble. She nods and puts her hand on my shoulder, patting it lightly.
"I didn't know, I'm sorry. I won't upset you again, I promise."
"Thanks, I guess."
*2 hours later*
"So yeah, we'll meet up soon?"
"For revision?"
"Yeah or maybe we could just hang out one day?"
"Hm. I'll like that."
"Cool, see you soon then."
We stay there awkwardly for a minute or so, until she wraps her arms around me and places her head on my chest. I freeze for a second, but then wrap my arms around her. We hold this embrace for a short while before pulling away. She quickly kisses my cheek before walking inside, with a small grin on her face.
But he doesn't know the pain behind that smile.
