After going to the monastery to burn the webs, I went to go and visit Léo, but to my surprise, the person who hurt everyone back on campus was there to.
I wanted to reach out to the lady, but she seemed to start the panic before I could say anything.
"Stay back daughter of Satan, stay back!"
I felt guilty that she was scared of me, but when I heard people shouting, demanding that we brought the girl out, I grabbed Kurikara, ready to defend the both of them.
"L-Léo, p-please g-get the lady somewhere safe, I-I'll stall for time, h-hurry though, I-I don't know how long I'll be able to hold them o-off"
Léo nodded as he took the lady somewhere safe while I walked out and drew Kurikara.
It was then, I started to attempt to stall for time by subduing the exorcists.
I tried the best I could, but I was slowly getting overwhelmed.
Before I knew, the lady came out of hiding to help me.
Both me and her we're able to hold off the exorcists for quite a bit, however, even the both of us weren't enough.
Thankfully Rein got here just in time to get the exorcists to stop fighting.
"I can't believe you idiots would try to kill the suspect, next time wait for orders, I can even see Luna tried to subdue you all to make sure you all wouldn't be hurt, each and everyone of you dumbasses should he ashamed!"
It was rather easy to tell that Rein was angry, but I'm mostly thankful that he came by to save us just in time.
Everything else that day was rather uneventful though.
Days pass, it takes quite a while till something eventful happens actually.
Weeks after the attack, Rein informs me that he reached the highest rank he could as an exorcist.
I was actually rather happy for him, but then, something happened I wasn't expecting to happen.
It seemed to happen a few hours later.
When it happened, I was petting Blackrose, my faithful familiar.
"Luna, the Vatican needs you to summon Gehenna gate, it shouldn't be a problem since your a demon.
I was shocked at first, but I didn't realize the choice I made would've possibly led to my death.
"A-Alright then Rein"
I got to stay in the room and continue to pet Blackrose, but it seemed once preparations, they came back to get me.
The train ride there was actually rather long, I didn't expect it to be so long actually, but half way through the train ride, I was hit with a tranquilizer dart.
It didn't take long for me to lose consciousness but when I regained consciousness, I woke up to myself chained to a pole.
As I looked around, I was rather confused at first, but I soon saw exorcists standing far away from me.
I was a bit confused at first, but I then heard a voice that caught my attention.
"We shall now open Gehenna gate with the blood of the demons we've retrieved, however, the blood we have now is unsatisfactory, while it's enough to form Gehenna gate, we need the blood of someone from Satan's blood, Luna's death to open Gehenna gate shall never be forgotten, she'll die a true hero"
I was terrified, I didn't want to die yet, I don't even want to die.
When the sacrifice began, I felt a stabbing pain in me.
I scream and cried, begging for it to stop.
I couldn't handle the pain, I just want the pain to end.
During screaming and crying, I could slightly hear Rein talking to someone.
"Hey, old man, you didn't say we'd be killing my sister, now let her go"
The pain seemed to only get worse, I couldn't take it.
As I saw Gehenna gate open, the pain I felt was becoming too much to handle.
I continued to cry out for help, but there was no response.
"Stop the sacrifice and let my sister go now, your gonna kill her if you don't, while she recovers, use my blood instead"
Before anyone could object to him, Rein seemed to be able to summon the blue flames as well.
The rest of it was filled in with his blood.
I thought I was gonna bleed out, I was hurting everywhere.
I soon heard loud footsteps, as if people we're running, and to my surprise, I saw the class I've been with for a long time now, even Blackrose was with them as well.
However, it seemed to have been too late, Gehenna gate seemed to already be opening.
I couldn't move at all, my body was weak, I would most likely die at this rate.
As my body went cold, I soon lost consciousness.
I don't remember how long I was unconscious for, but when I was able to open my eyes, a sense of relief went through me.
"They hurt you so much, it was a bit hard trying to treat it all, but at least you won't die of blood loss now"
I saw Léo in front of me, smiling, to be able to see him again, it made me feel happy.
I wanted to quickly get up and hug him, but I was too weak to instead.
Instead, I tugged at his arm to bring him on top of me so I could give him a hug and kiss him.
Yet when I break the kiss, I soon remember that Gehenna gate was opened.
"L-Léo, h-how is everyone d-doing after G-Gehenna gate opened?"
"I couldn't see what was happening, but it looks rough, I'm not sure how everyone is doing though"
I have to get up and help them, but I'm too weak to at the moment.
"I-I have to g-go and h-help e-everyone"
"Your too weak to at the moment, going now would be suicide"
"T-Then, if I die, I w-want you t-to k-keep m-my sword"
He slightly tears up but I wipe the tears off his face and give him a kiss.
Once he gets off of me, I weakly make my way back up to where everyone is at, I need to hurry or it'll be too late.
