「 Todoroki's POV 」

I was walking through the rain with a bag of groceries in my hand, my older sister, Fuyumi had asked me to pick them up for her, as usual I was the errand boy. I couldn't help but sigh, I visit for a few minutes and she already has me running errands, annoying..

I listened to the rain hitting the umbrella that I had in my other hand, it was soothing, just like the crickets I always heard at night, such small things that calm me down.. I let out a breath and continued to walking before I stopped again, spinning around.

I knew I had seen that ponytail.. My eyes scanned the streets for a bit before I saw her, Yaoyorozu was walking without an Umbrella..? She'll catch a cold..!
I rushed up to her and tapped her on the shoulder, Yaoyorozu jumped in response and turned around.

"T-Todoroki~san..!?" She exclaimed, her bottom lip was quivering and I couldn't tell if it was because of the cold or if it was because she was sad, hard to tell apart.

"Yaoyorozu~san! Why are you without an umbrella?" I hastily asked, putting the grocery bag down and taking off my jacket, placing it around her shoulders and pulling her in under the umbrella, since the rain was pouring outside, it would be bad if she caught a cold.

Yaoyorozu blushed, "I- uhm.. Wanted to save up my energy so I could walk properly.." she mumbled quickly, nuzzling into my jacket.

"You haven't eaten? Oh god- let's get you back to the dorms, I'll make you some tea and food." I felt myself worry more than I should be, I had basically left the groceries on the ground and was instead rushing Yaoyorozu towards the 1-A dorms..

My mind started to wander back towards when I went to Recovery Girl's office to ask about my quirk.. How it was malfunctioning and all that.

(the following Italics is what happened in this flashback sequence)

I was walking out of the classroom and towards Recovery Girl's office, I felt my face, it wasn't abnormally warm as it was before.. What the hell..?

"Todoroki~kun? Are you going to Recovery Girls office?" I heard a familiar voice behind me, I spun around and looked at Uraraka who was walking right behind me, when I stopped she had walked right into my chest and stumbled backwards.

"Oh, yeah, I was on my way there to ask if my quirk was malfunctioning. I know it's not the best option, but if something is wrong with my body, I would like to know." I replied, a bit taken aback by her walking right into my chest, but it was only an accident.

"Your quirk malfunctioning? What do you mean?" Uraraka tilted her head, wondering.

"Yes, before in the classroom I felt my face heat up even though I wasn't regulating my body temperature." I stated, straightening on myself.

"Oh? You sit next to Yaomomo, right?" Uraraka asked, well, yes I did, but that's not important in this situation.. Is it?

I let out a sigh and finally replied, "She does.. But what does that have to do with anything?" I felt my face heat up a bit.

"Hmm.. Have you ever considered that she might be the thing causing.. Your 'Quirk Malfunctioning'?" she asked, wiggling her eyebrows.

"Heh? Nonsense! How could SHE be causing a quirk to malfunction?" I rolled my eyes, this was a waste of time.

"Bu-" I didn't let Uraraka finish before I spoke.

"Now if you excuse me, I'll get going." I said as I turned around and walked towards Recovery Girl's office.

(flashback music)

Me and Yaoyorozu were still walking towards the 1-A dorms, I was holding the umbrella over her and me, but it meant that we had to walk closer together, I let out a breath and closed my eyes as we walked.

I felt Yaoyorozu tug on my arm a bit, I opened my eyes and looked at her, she was still shivering.

Without giving it a second thought I walked around her so my left side would be the closest to her body, I wrapped my arm around her shoulders and heated up my left, I could see her face turning red, probably just the cold..

After maybe 10 minutes of walking like that we finally arrived to the 1-A dormitory. I hurried Yaoyorozu inside and closed the umbrella, shutting the door after us.

A few heads turned to us, as most people were sitting in the common room in blankets and listening to the rain.
I quickly dismissed their glances and turned my attention to Yaoyorozu, quickly saying,

"You should go upstairs and change into warmer clothes, I'll prepare some tea for you."

Yaoyorozu quickly nodded, nervously thanking me before rushing up the stairs and to her dorm room.

I walked into the kitchen and started to prepare tea, my mind wandering off as I watched the steam come out of the kettle. I felt the scar over my left eye and closed my eyes, breathing out, not today.. Please..

I heard the kettle whistle and I quickly took it off and poured the water into a big teacup, preparing the tea.
