Nothing happened for a few days. The guys would patrol and stop a mugging or something, you and Splinter would train, it was as simple as that. You got used to living with the guys, and hearing them train at the crack of dawn.

At the moment, you and Splinter were training with your katana. Leo was off to the side meditating on a geyser of crystal blue water, and you could hear Raph letting out some steam on the dummy with flaming fists. Donnie was still in the Lab, fixing up the Shell Raiser, and Mikey was watching that Crognard the Barbarian show again.

Soon Leonardo left, giving you two green thumbs up as he passed, and went to join his brothers. Not long after, Master Splinter dismissed you, remarking that you were making great progress. You grinned as you walked out to the living room, where you saw Raph fuming and shouting at the unfazed Leo. Mikey made a comment and Raph charged him. You just sat next to Leo and watched.

You were interrupted when a giant mutant crocodile stumbled into the Lair, and fell to the ground. You gasped in shock, while the others, including Donnie who came to see what the noise was, rushed over to the crocodile.

"Leather Head! Are you ok??" Leo asks with worry. Mikey rushes over and hugs Leather Head's snout.

"Of course he's not! Can't you see the pain on his tortured yet adorable face?!" Mikey rubs the crocodile's head, and he slowly stands. You inch closer and listen to him behind Leo and Raph.

"My friends.. I'm afraid I am not alright. Slash and Dr. Rockwell have been captured!" The crocodile speaks with a rough, low voice. There are giant scars on him, and he looks weary.

"Slash?! Who took him?!" Raph questions, his voice leaking worry.

-Slash? I've heard that name before..-

"The Tiger.. He said they would serve him well."

Raph crosses his arms as he speaks.
"I'll give you one guess who he is." He huffs. Everyone nods in understanding, except for Mikey.

"Right.. that guy.. who does the thing.. with the thing.. I have no idea who he is." Mikey answers, and Raph steps closer to glare at him.

"It's Shredder!" He shouts. Mikey nods and grins.

"Oh yeah!"

You giggle and step forward a little more to hear the conversation, when a mutant man- or pigeon- flies in.

"Pigeon Pete! Oh.. why couldn't Tiger Claw take him?" Raph groans. Pigeon Pete flies in and crashes next to you. You step back as he stands.

"Whoa.. now this is a Lair. Ooh!" He flies around, admiring the turtles games. "Is that a real Space Heroes pin ball machine?" He exclaims as he examines it. He flies up to the spiral staircase above as he speaks. "All this place needs is some bread!"

"Bread?" You repeat, confused.

"He's a pigeon. He likes bread." Raph explains. You nod as you watch Pigeon Pete and Mikey talk, before Leo draws everyone's attention.

"Look, I don't like Slash all that much, but we're gonna save them, that's what friends do." Leo announced. You nodded and ran to get your katana, when Raph stopped you.

"Y/n, I don't know if you should come." He began.

"What, why?" You frowned. "I was almost able to take down Leo with my katana, and I'm getting better at stealth. Why can't I come?"

Raph sighed.
"Slash is- was Spike. And we're going to Shredders place. We don't want you anywhere near Shredder if anything happens. Please, just, stay here with Splinter. Please?"

Raph looked at you with pleading eyes, and said please. Twice. You blinked in surprise, and let out a sigh.

"Ok, ok, fine. I'll stay." You frown and cross your arms, and Raph grins.

"Thanks Peanut. We'll be back soon." He hugged you, crossed arms and all, before joining his brothers. You huffed and sat back down to watch the tv.

Not long after, they returned with the captured mutants. You gasped in shock when you saw Slash, but he was too groggy to notice. You walked up to Raph when he returned.

"That's Slash? He's.. wow." You muttered as you watched him sit down.

"What? He's what?" Raph inquired, furrowing his brow as he glanced at you.

"He's.. kinda scary looking.." You whisper, not wanting Slash to hear.

Inwardly, Raph relaxed at your answer. Outwardly, he stayed the same, arms crossed, and a stern expression.

"He might seem like that at first, but he's a pretty cool guy once you get to know him." He assured you, and you nodded.

Suddenly, Raph took your hand and pulled you forward. You tensed up when you realized where he was taking you.

"R-Raph.. uh, ehe, I-I think I'll wait t-to introduce my-myself.." you said as you tried to pull away, but his grip was strong, and he didn't stop.

"C'mon, don't be such a baby." Raph smirked, stopping in front of Slash and Dr. Rockwell.
"Hey Slash, this is Y/n. Y/n, Slash."

You hesitantly held out your hand, shaking a little bit. Slash reached out and shook your hand, his giant one smothering yours.

"Nice to meetcha. Raphael talked about you from time to time." Slash gave you a weary smile, and you nervously smiled back.

"H-he did?" You reply, glancing at Raph.

"Yeah. Talked about how nice you were, the little adventures you'd have." Slash smiled and let your hand go.

You opened your mouth to say something, but were cut off by Raph pulling you away from Slash and to Dr. Rockwell.

"Y/n, Rockwell. Rockwell, Y/n."

"Yes. Hello." The monkey spoke with a bored and stuck up tone. You nodded shyly, telling that the monkey had no interest in speaking with you any longer. You turned to Raph and gave him a pleading look. He sighed and pulled you away.

"Big baby." He muttered.

You rolled your eyes and hung around Leo the loner, when trouble began.

Splinter turned away from Slash to get him some water for his headache. Slash held his head in pain, then screamed in fury, his eyes going white. You jumped up in surprise with the turtles, and gasped in horror when Slash knocked Splinter into a wall. He fell limp to the floor, and you all shouted in shock. The guys started attacking Slash, and now Dr. Rockwell while you ran to check on Splinter. He was out cold.
You turned and glared at Slash, who was too busy fighting Donnie and Mikey to notice you run up, until you side kicked him in the face. He stumbled before turning and glaring back at you.

"You thought I was scary before? You'll think I'm a nightmare after this." He growled as he punched his own hand menacingly. You backed up and held up your fists, ready to fight when Raph jumped on Slashes back, trying to choke him out.

"Not on my watch, buddy!" Raphael grunted as Slash thrashed around and threw him off. The giant turtle turned back to you, but you were gone. You had ran to the dojo and grabbed your katana before returning to the fight.

Dr. Rockwells back was to you as he floated in the air, controlling objects and throwing them at the turtles. You jumped up and managed to pull off the helmet, and he fell to the ground.

"Ha!" You grinned, when the monkey snatched his helmet back and ran to his accomplice, Slash, who had Raph thrown over his shoulder.

"Raph!" You called out, although it was no use, since he was out cold.

"Fall back!" Slash ordered, he and Rockwell running to the Lab and locking the door. The turtles ran after them, while you went to check on Splinter. He assured you he would live, and to go after Slash and Rockwell with the others. You reluctantly obeyed, and helped open the door after some difficulty. Entering the Lab, you all discovered that they stole the Party Wagon.

"The Shell Raiser is fully functional!" Donnie announced. You grinned and ran with the others, when Leo stopped you.

"Y/n, you should stay here and-"

You cut him off with a glare.
"Splinter told me to go with you. They have Raphael, so I've coming. No arguments." You commanded, and walked past him and into the Shell Raiser. You sat in Raph's seat, next to Leather Head as Donnie drove out. You shook with worry, clutching your hands together and trying to stay calm.

You guys chased Slash and Dr. Rockwell, firing trash balls in an attempt to stop them. It didn't work, and they countered with oil slick. You all slipped and slid around before the Shell Raiser crashed into a building, the passengers inside being tossed around like a salad. After the initial shock wore off, you climbed out of the vehicle.

"Agh!" You shouted, kicking the tire in fury. Leo pat your shoulder before turning to Donnie.

"I looks like we'll be doing what Raph wanted after all: going right to Shredder." Leo announced. You all nodded and set off. You had an uneasy feeling in your stomach, telling you to hurry.

On a rooftop, with a clear view of Shredders Lair, Donnie speaks up.

"Guys.. I just realized we don't have a plan!"

Leo doesn't turn away from the edge.
"Doesn't matter. Leather Head, get ready to make a door." Leo orders, and you smirk.

-Hang on, Raph. We're coming.- You think as you follow the others.

You stay quiet as you enter Shredders Lair, hiding in the shadows with the others. You sneak up behind a Foot bot and slice it with your katana, and it falls to the floor. Leo nods to you and you continue on. You make it to a dungeon, where there's no Raphael. You frown when you hear familiar grunts from up above.

"Raph," you whisper, sneaking away with the guys. You come to a strange room, with statues and gates for doors. In that room, Raph has Shredder pinned down. You grin, and all of you encourage him to finish it. To your surprise and horror, Shredder stands, and Raph remains motionless and white eyed.

"Your brother is under my control now, as are your other mutant friends." Shredder laughs. You bite your lip with worry as Raph walks over to a statue and stick his arms in two holes. When he pulls them out, he's armed with blades, like Shredder.

"R-Raph.." You and Mikey say at once.

You can barely focus when Raph charges you all at Shredders command, along with the other mind controlled mutants. You jump out if the way and watch as Leo and Raph go head to head.

"R-Raph.." You mutter, reluctantly pulling out your katana. You grip the f/c handle tight as you search for your courage, your e/c eyes wide, never leaving the red clad turtle.

Leo is knocked back, crashing into the wall behind you.

"Go help the others! I've got Raph!" You shout. Leo shakes his head.

"No.. he-he's not himself. He won't go easy on you!"

You turn and glare at Raphael, finding your strength.
"Neither will I." You respond before running to Raph.

You clash weapons, metal against metal creating a haunting ringing. You grit your teeth as your feet begin to slip, and you expertly twist around so your behind Raph, and your katana is against his neck.

"Raph! Snap out of it! I know you won't hurt me. Fight whatever Shredder did to you!"

You're cut off when Raph flips you, growling like an animal. You stumble a little before raising your weapon again, and continue to fight.

"This isn't you, Raphael! You're being controlled by Shredder! Fight it! Push it out!"

Raph glares at you with his white eyes.
"How do you know who I am?! You knew me when you were a child! I have changed since then!"

You fought the tears threatening to spill, and Raph, as you replied.
"No you haven't! I've been with you for months now I I know you haven't changed. You're still the Raphael I l-lo.." You couldn't say it. You don't know why, but the words were stuck in your throat, refusing to leave.

Raph hesitated, his white eyes widening slightly. You bit your lip as you stared at him.
"Please come back, Raphie."

That didn't seem to affect him at all, as he shouted and charged you.

"Raph, I'm trying to help you!" You shouted, spinning around and kicking him back. "Why can't you appreciate that! I'll bet you won't even say 'thanks' when this is all over."

Raph threw another strike, which was blocked by a blade that was not your own. Leo nodded to you as he jumped into the fight, so you ran to help the others. Glancing back to the two oldest brothers, you saw Raph kneeling on the ground, and Leo speaking with him.

"Already?!" You exclaimed out loud. You huffed and attacked the low flying Buzzkill, who shrieked in surprise and crashed into a wall. Looking around, you watched as Dr. Rockwell coughed up a disgusting worm thing, and mind blasted Slash into coughing up his. Shredder growled and rose from his seating, and everyone, including you, surrounded him for attack.

"Turtles, Mighty Mutanimals, Y/n, attack!" Leo commanded, and you all gladly obeyed, charging Shredder. He blocked every attack, beside Dr. Rockwells brain blast. In the end, you were all panting as you came back for a fourth attack. You stopped in your tracks when a hair raising roar shook the room, and a statue fell on Shredder. Where the statue once was stood Slash, clapping his hands of dust. You turned and grinned to the turtles when a door opened, and hundreds of Foot bots swarmed the room. Tiger Claw stepped in, and you all gathered together.

"Some other time!" Leo shouted before Mikey threw down two smoke bombs.

Back at the Lair, you watched with the others as Slash and Dr. Rockwell apologized to Splinter, who forgave them.
Think that's that, you turn to leave, when a giant finger taps your shoulder. You tense up and turn around to be met with Slash.

"I'm sorry Y/n, for attacking you. Like I said to Splinter--" You held up a hand to stop him.

"Like Splinter said, there's nothing to forgive." You smiled, and Slash smiled back.

While the guys were congratulating and talking, you snuck away to the kitchen. Grabbing a cup, you filled it with water and drank. Turning around, you jump in surprise when you see Raph standing there, looking sheepish and a tad nervous.

"Y-Y/n.. I'm sorry for, y'know.. fighting you, and saying you don't know me. I have no excuse for my actions, a-and-" he stops when you hug him, his green eyes wide with shock. He slowly hugs back and smiles, although you didn't see.
"And thank you." He adds, pulling away and ruffling your hair. "You helped save the day, Peanut."

As you walked out with him, both of you thought of what you had said during the fight. And what you didn't say.
