A thick-furred tiger mother lay under the roots of a tree, her three newborn cubs batting each other with their tiny paws as they nursed. They all looked like their mother, except for one, who was pure white. The mother wondered where she had gotten such colors. She still loved her just the same. "You, my firstborn cub, will be named Pheonix." She purred as she pointed to the biggest cub at her belly. "You shall be named Griffin, my middle cub." She rasped as she put her muzzle to her middle cub's. "And you, my youngest cub," she said as she looked at her one white cub "you shall be named Zima."
