Taehyung's POV

"We need to talk," I say as I enter Jungkook's and I's shared room in Illume's palace. It's been two days since we exchanged magics, but ever since then, we haven't even brought it up. He looks at me, confusion laced across his face. "Oh god," He says.

"Are you breaking up with me?"

"What?" I reply, stopping in my tracks. "No! The fuck?" He laughs a bit, heading for the spiral staircase and walking down the steps. "Good. So, what's up?" I take a deep breath, sitting at the table that's placed in the middle of our room. "I have news."

"I've been talking to Soros, and he gave me the okay." At this, Jungkook sits down too, cocking an eyebrow. "The okay? For what?" I take his hand, holding it in my own and gazing into his brown eyes. "The okay to enter his palace. He wants to see you- to meet you."

Jungkook's eyes grow wide and I see the shock and panic that flashes through them. "Oh. Oh! Uh, do I have to?" I hum, nodding my head as an answer. "Yes, actually. I promised him I'd bring you along when I went to his palace, so you have to come." He visibly gulps, moving his head up and down.

"Uh, when do we leave then?" I smiled, standing up from the chair and pulling him to his feet. "Now, actually." He stands, tripping a bit and falling against my chest, hands reaching out to grab onto something. They land on my shoulders and he coughs, giving a lopsided grin.

I turn to face towards the door, hand extended, eyes shutting. "A lonely heart will ponder to the depths of the blackened sea. A lonely soul will wander for infinity." And just like that, darkness swirls around us and we're transported into a whole new realm, practically.

The dark interior brings a smile to my face. I've grown accustomed to this place, joy building up inside of me as I take my first step towards the hallway. My hand intertwines with Jungkook's, leading him in the direction of the throne room. "Soros!" I shout, voice echoing off the walls.

As we enter the throne room, his head looks up, eyes finding mine. "Seems you kept your word, Kim," He teases, standing up from his throne. "Indeed I did, Soros. Don't you have faith in me?" He shrugs, laughing lowly as I pull Jungkook into my chest, hugging him.

"Jungkook, meet Soros, the God of Darkness. Soros, this is Jungkook, the Elemental of Fire and my boyfriend." Soros smiles, kneeling down and letting the darkness that usually swirls around him disappear. "Hello, Jungkook. Nice to finally meet you. Welcome to my home."

Jungkook returns the greeting, flashing a smile, and turning to face me. "So, this is where you wander off to almost every day?" I hum, playfully punching his shoulder and running towards Soros' throne. Using my magic, I push myself up to the armrest, sitting upon it.

"Indeed, Cupcake."

He shook his head with a laugh, his smile never falling off his face. Soros chuckled too, turning to look at me and calling Jungkook over. "Have a seat, let's chat." Jungkook hummed, using his fire magic to push him up onto the armrest with me. Soros sat, looking at both of us.

"I've been talking to Taehyung about something recently, and since I'm now certain that what we discussed is true, I've decided it's time to inform you." Jungkook nodded, crossing his legs as he sat. "I'm all ears." I beamed up at Soros, watching as he smiled too.

"Jungkook, do you believe that there's a thing called soulmates?" His response was instant: a nod. "I do believe that they exist." Soros nodded too, blinking once. "What if I told you that you have a soulmate," He paused, glancing at me, "and that he's sitting right next to you?"

Jungkook's eyes grew wide, mouth falling open. "Taehyung?! We're soulmates?!" Soros nodded, darkness beginning to swirl around his hands and legs. "I strongly believe you two are, and I have reasons behind that." Jungkook eyed Soros, still in shock, a smile slowly growing over his face. I kissed his cheek, nodding at my god.

"I was made aware that you two attempted to transfer magic elements into one another, yes?" We nodded. "I've also been made aware that it worked and you two now possess one another's elements, to which you can both use." We nodded again. "Can you show me?"

I glanced at Jungkook, taking his hand as we jumped off the armrest and landed on the palace floor. We stood ten feet apart, eyes shutting and opening up the magic we agreed to keep deep inside of us. Warmth spread across my cheeks, traveling to my hands, and touching my fingertips.

It burned but in a good way. My soul was set on fire as it built up inside of me, the heat flying off my body. Then, we opened our eyes, unleashing it free. Fire danced around my body, completely encasing me in the flames yet not burning anything on me.

I glanced to my right to spot Jungkook with ice on the floor, water forming in waves around him. His fingertips were ice and so were his feet, a smile forming on my face at the sight. Yup. We're soulmates. I looked at Soros to find him wide-eyed. "Told you," I said loud enough for him to hear.

He cleared his throat, nodding. We stopped our magic power, watching as it vanished then flew back up to his throne. "Thank you, for proving the one thing that kept holding me back," He said as soon as we reached the top of his throne. I hummed as a response, taking Jungkook's hand.

"Let me explain the reason behind my shock," He said, sitting up straighter while we did the same. "There's a rule amongst the gods that states that humans are not allowed to transfer elements into one another. The reason behind because the result is fatal. It can kill the person you put your magic into." I squeezed Jungkook's hand.

"Yet when I was told that that wasn't the case and that you could use his power, something didn't add up. How could you both use those powers and be completely okay?" Jungkook glanced at me, curiosity in his eyes. "Long story short, I was reminded of a myth that has been passed among the gods for centuries."

"The myth of the Forbidden magic." At this, Jungkook stood up, clearly interested as he stared up at Soros. "What's the myth say?" I stood too, taking Jungkook's hand in mine once more. "The myth is about a magic power so strong it's deadly. The Gods call it Demolition." I took over, watching Soros nod.

"Here's the thing, the power is rewarded to two humans. According to Soros, the magic is so strong that not even a god of high power can control, so how could two humans control it? The myth states that a specific type of humans will be able to receive it." Soros smiled, pointing at us.

"The only types of humans that differ from the rest are soulmates. They're two people who were destined to be together in life, who share a bond that's unbreakable. Considering that you two were able to give each other a part of yourselves, in this case, your magic powers, it must mean that's what you are." Jungkook looked at me, not saying anything.

Well, that was until he threw his arms around my neck and legs around my waist. I hugged him, spinning him around on the armrest of Soros' throne, holding him in my arms. Soros chuckled, watching us with a fond gaze. When I set him down, I looked into his eyes, smiling.

"You're my soulmate." His eyes lit up, brighter than I had ever seen them before, smile so wide it looked like it hurt. "And you're my soulmate," He said, staring into my eyes. He hugged me again, face pressing into the crook of my neck. I could feel him smiling.

I glanced back at Soros, watching Jungkook do the same. "The myth has never been proven true, so many of the Gods decided it was bullshit. Yet, I think that it's finally receiving its chance to be proven correct." I smiled, holding my lover's hand.

"Demolition is dormant magic, one that has never been awakened. I can't tell you how to access it, or even how to use it. You'll know when the time is right," He said, smiling at us. "Don't force yourselves to use it, otherwise you'll be wiping out billions of innocent civilians." We nodded.

"Keep this a secret, it's not important- not yet. I can't say how your friends will handle the news of your new powers, so I recommend keeping that a secret as well until you absolutely need to use them." We nodded again, staring at Soros. "Jungkook," He said, looking directly at my cupcake.

"You now have full access to my palace. You are welcomed here and you may come here whenever you please. Whether you come with Taehyung or not, you are welcome. I may not be your God, but I can do my best to help with your magic powers if you ever need assistance." Jungkook smiled, nodding slowly.

"Thank you, Soros. That's very kind of you. I appreciate it." He smiled too, looking at me. "He's a keeper, take good care of him." I rolled my eyes playfully, wings sprouting as I flew up to eye level with Soros. "Okay, now you really sound like a dad," I teased, flashing a fond smile.

"But I will don't worry." His eyes sparkled, almost like the night sky that was filled with stars. I sighed, landing back down on the armrest and glancing at my boyfriend. "It's late. I've kept you long enough, plus you two have work in the morning. Best that you get your rest."

As if on cue, Jungkook yawned, taking my hand in his. "Thank you, once again," He said. "For everything. I always found it hard to believe Taehyung when he said you weren't so scary, despite you being covered in darkness all the time. However, it was wrong of me to judge and I'm glad you've proven to be what Taehyung said you were."

"I apologize for judging how you looked before I met you. Taehyung is lucky to have you as his God. You're amazing, Soros." I could see the shock that spread across his face. However, he smiled, nodding up and down with a smile. "I'm glad you see it that way, Jungkook." With that, Jungkook jumped off the armrest, landing on the ground.

I glanced at Soros, smiling too. "Told you," I said, flashing my boxy smile. "But nooo, someone didn't believe me when I said that they're a fantastic God. You need to give yourself more credit, Soros." He laughed, the sound rumbling through my chest and spreading joy across my body. "Alright, Kim, I'll consider that."

He extended his palm, to which I jumped on, watching as he raised me up to eye level. "You two will go places with your magic powers, but more specifically, you'll be unstoppable. Your power is strong and is probably stronger than a God's magic. Use it correctly." I nodded.

"Why are you telling me this?" My charms on my necklace began to glow, causing my eyes to snap downwards and look at them. I looked back up at Soros, watching as his smile fell and his eyes grew serious. "I'm telling you because you need to remember which side you're on. Magic power is dangerous, especially when one contains a lot of it. I would know."

"Remember which side of the war you belong to. Don't give in to temptation." I frowned, looking at him with worried eyes. "Soros?" He glanced at the palace floor then at me, eyes pitch black and serious. "Look out for your friends," He whispered, "because the war's just begun."

"Tell me what you know," I whispered, staring at him, pleading with my eyes. "I don't know much, Taehyung. I can only tell you what I know based off of gut feeling. But right now, I know for a fact that something is coming your way."

"And it isn't weak."
