Taehyung's POV
"Emergency Alert! Calling all Elementals! Emergency Alert! Calling all Elementals!" It was a new alarm, one we hadn't heard before, but one that made our blood run cold. Jungkook and I jumped out of bed, throwing on shirts and heading for the door.
We ran, heading down the halls and joining up with our friends. It's been three months now, two months since the whole fight between that evil human and myself. However, during these three months, we've never heard this alarm go off. Illume was in the main entrance of the palace, a look of worry on his face.
We were breathing heavy, standing before him with concern on our faces. What was happening? "That message you sent to Ozagi," He says, calling me out with a worried glance, "has finally reached him. There are thousands of evil creatures being unleashed as we speak."
He paused, looking up to find the other gods joining us in the room. "And these aren't weak, Elementals. I'm talking about strength as large as ours, understood? They're strong, extremely strong." Our eyes grew wide as we looked at one another, the floor rumbling from under us.
"Work together. Whatever you do, don't split up. Use your magic wisely, look for different angles, and vantage points. I cannot stress how important it is to work together." We nodded, looking up at Illume as the floor opened up before us. "You don't have time to waste! Save the planet before it falls to the hands of evil!"
And we fell, heading straight down for the city below us. Our wings sprouted as we continued to fall, speeds increasing as the skyscrapers came into view. "What do we do?!" Hoseok shouted over the winds, all of us opening our wings and flying straight.
"We work together! Let's keep these bastards away from the city!" I roared, speeding up and taking off north, flying in front of everyone else. They followed right behind me, the seven of us spotting the targets down below. God, there were literally thousands of them.
I gulped, scanning over the entire city. How were we going to get rid of this? "Do you feel that?" Jimin asked, levitating above the buildings, eyes wide. I nodded because I did feel it. "It's their magic power. Illume wasn't kidding. They're as strong as the gods." Fear and worry filled the atmosphere around us, all seven of us looking at one another.
"Taehyung?" Namjoon asked, looking at me. "What do we do? You're the one with the plans." I bit my lip, looking over the city again. You don't have time to waste! His words repeated themselves over and over in my head, hands beginning to shake with nervousness. What do we do?
"You're the leader, Namjoon. We work together, not just on me. Ideas? Say them. Don't hold anything back! Use your magic power wisely and together!" Everyone looked at me, awaiting my first move. The clouds darkened. "We're strong. Find that magic within you, activate it, and unleash it!"
I fell to the ground, hitting it with force, waves of magic power felt from around me. Namjoon fell beside me, accompanied by Jin. "The civilians matter. We need to keep them safe," I said, looking into Namjoon's eyes. He nodded, extending his hand towards me. "Can you do it alone?" I smiled, eyes darkening. "I can."
As a child, you would wait,
"I'll help," Jin said, vines and roots forming from the ground. I smiled, pointing to the city. "Wrap your vines around the buildings. Keep them positioned and upright. I'm encasing them in ice and water." He nodded, the two of us aiming our palms at the buildings and letting our magic do the work.
And watch from far away,
"They're coming!" Hoseok shouted, the seven of us pressing our backs to one another in a circle, looking at every angle. We cannot afford to leave an opening. "I'll take care of the civilians! In the meantime, keep them off us!" I shouted, hearing the stomps and loud footsteps that neared us. Here goes nothing.
But you always knew that you'd be the one
My ice, water, and darkness worked to encase every building in the city, holding them down and protecting them. Windows and doors were frozen shut while water and darkness barricaded the entire building. When that was done, I glanced at my friends, seeing their eyes narrowed and face serious. This battle was no joke.
That work while they all play.
"Get ready!" Yoongi shouted, closing his eyes as soon as they turned grey- almost like he was possessed. I watched him, feeling the ground rumble, spirits rising from the cement beneath our feet. My eyes widened, souls coming up one by one, standing their ground around us. "We've got our army, now let's take down the threat!"
In youth, you'd lay,
I nodded, looking at Jungkook. His arms were covered in magma, eyes glowing orange. Then, they charged, creatures of all sizes racing forward, their magic power hit us dead on. I could feel it around us, circling us, trapping us. It was suffocating, but we had to fight. For our sake. For our race.
Awake at night and scheme,
The water danced around my hands, anger boiling within me. This is our city! We'll fight for it! Steam rose off of my arms, into the air as my eyes turned a dark shade of blue. "We fight for what's ours!" I roared, voice deep and a little terrifying. The creatures were now thirty feet away from us, magic flying at us from all directions.
Of all the things that you would change,
Walls of concrete rose from the ground, shielding us. Jin had his hands outstretched, palms facing away from him as the concrete protected us from the evil magic. "We need to fight hard. We have no time to waste! The closer they get to us, the closer they get to the city!"
But it was just a dream.
I felt my magic power double up within me without my consent, emitting from my body in waves. My friends felt it, and it seemed to work as encouragement. "Let the walls fall! We fight on three!" Namjoon roared, light clouding my vision, so bright it stung. "One!" He shouted, my ice turning my legs from flesh to frozen water. "Two!"
Here we are, don't turn away now.
"Three!" The concrete fell and light gave off of Namjoon. It hit so many creatures at once, screams leaving their mouths. "Taehyung! Use your ice!" I nodded, stomping on the ground, a thick layer of ice coating the streets and freezing them to the cement.
We are the warriors that built this town.
We don't stray far from one another, but the circle breaks and we form a line down the middle of the street, increasing our magic power until it overpowers our enemies'. The enemies don't seem to care, however, charging directly for us. We charge right back, breaking into a fight in the middle of the city.
Here we are, don't turn away now.
Ice spikes form in my hands, my arm slowing turning into ice as I deliver a hard punch to the creature's contorted face, hearing him scream. The fights get tougher, as do the enemies, the seven of us joining up again. We need an attack that can wipe out hundreds, but what?
We are the warriors that built this town.
"We'll be here all day at this rate!" Yoongi shouts, cursing under his breath as his back presses to mine. "We need a powerful attack, one where all of our magic is combined into one." They nod, the seven of us continuing to fight off the creatures before us. I unleash a wave of magic power, sending them all back and forming a barrier around us.
From dust.
"It'll buy us some time. We need a plan, and fast." Namjoon looks at me, his face blank as we glance over everyone. What do we do? This isn't training, this is real life. We need a plan, and fast. We can't waste time. "I've got nothing," Jin confesses, voice quiet. Jungkook, Jimin, Hoseok, and Yoongi nod in unison, frowning.
Will come,
"Yoongi," I say, eyes scanning over the ice-covered street, my mind working to think of something. "As spirit, you can control souls and beings, yes?" He nods, cocking an eyebrow. I nod too, pointing to the ground. "You can form an undead army, can't you? Get the souls from the underworld on your side to fight?" His eyes widen but he nods again.
When you'll have to rise,
I smile, slamming a fist into my palm. Perfect. "Control the creatures, form an army. Jin, get the elements on your side. Water, wind, earth, fire, get them all together and believe in yourself. You can do unimaginable things when you combine them all." He smiles, nodding. I glance back to see the creatures closing in on us. We're running out of time.
Above the best and prove yourself,
"Hoseok," I say, catching his attention. "Lightning makes no sound until it strikes, right? You have that advantage. And from our training, I know damn well you can turn yourself into lightning and move at that speed, yes?" He smirks, nodding at that. "Good. Be stealthy and attack from behind. You're fast."
Your spirit never dies.
"Roger that, captain!" I smirk, turning to Jimin. "Jimin, that wind of yours is deadly, but tornados aren't the only thing you can form. Find that power within you and send those powerful gusts of wind at them. Believe." He smiles, his hair beginning to move with the breeze.
Farewell, I've gone, to take my throne above,
"Jungkook," I pause, pointing to his arms. "You possess more than just fire. I've seen lava and magma pour from your body, I know there's more magic within there. Activate that, and set the ground on fire." He smirks, fire dancing around his fingers. "Gotcha."
But don't weep for me,
"Namjoon. You're light, the embodiment of good. When my barrier falls, I'm turning the city dark. You'll be blinded for a few minutes, but when I give the signal, unleash a beam of light directly into the sky. It'll blind the enemy, giving us all a chance to strike." His eyes meet mine and we just stare.
'Cause this will be,
"You have to trust me." Then, he smiles, extending his hand in the middle of our circle. "Then what do we do first, Kim?" I smile too, putting my hand in. "Get your wings ready and fly twenty feet above the ground. Yoongi, get that army going. Jungkook, cover the ground with lava."
The labor of my love.
"Jin, get those elements on your side. Don't attack until I give the signal. Jimin and Hoseok, ready yourselves to attack. Namjoon, look deep inside of you, find that light that represents you, and unleash it. Drown out the city, cover the sky, paint everything white. Remove the darkness."
Here we are, don't turn away now.
"On my count!" I roared, my eyes turning black as I unleashed darkness, covering the entire city with it. The city went dark, only myself being able to see. The barrier disappeared and they flew up, with myself following. Lava began to form on the streets as the creatures screamed and shrieked out loud.
We are the warriors that built this town.
I flew ahead, the city still pitch black and covered in darkness. I formed a barrier around the whole city, intending to wipe out the hundreds around us. I could hear the army that Yoongi had on his side, making out his figure in the darkness with white eyes and hands clenched into fists.
Here we are, don't turn away now.
"Ready?!" I shouted, hearing my friends shout in return. We could do this. We need to believe. "Each of you possess the power of the Gods! You hold their magic! Believe in yourself and what you can accomplish!" I roared, feeling every magic within me rise up to the surface.
We are the warriors that built this town.
"I believe in you!"
From dust.
"Now, Namjoon!" I shouted, watching as my darkness began to disappear quickly and the beam of light hit the sky. It started off thin, growing thicker, and completely encasing him. It flew off his body, at every angle, aiming for the city. My eyes widened, my hand reaching out to form barriers around everyone.
Here we are, don't turn away now.
If light hits them, it'll hurt them! The light flew off Namjoon's body, striking the creatures, going around our friends due to my protective barrier. However, it hit me, pain flooding my body for a few seconds. Lava covered the floor and rose up from under us, wind as hot as the lava floating above us.
We are the warriors that built this town.
I looked ahead, spotting Hoseok and Jimin, attacking together. They hit the enemies, killing them. Roots from the ground rose up, despite being covered in lava, encasing Jin and attacking the enemies. Jungkook was sending fire and lava at the creatures and Namjoon's light was still killing them off.
Here we are, don't turn away now.
"We need you, Kim!" I heard Namjoon shout, looking at me with white eyes and hands glowing so brightly I had to squint. They need me. I nodded, feeling the magic flow through my veins, a scream leaving my lips. Deadly ice spikes, sharper than they had ever been before, extended from the buildings, turning this city into a frozen nightmare.
We are the warriors that built this town.
Darkness encased me, tendrils and magic power seeping from my veins, shocking everyone around me. My wings extended and I screamed again, every magic within me flying through the air and striking the enemies with so much force it killed them on impact. My eyes were black and I was coursing with rage from these monsters.
From dust.
"Let's end this battle once and for all!"
