- I won't let him! -
Taehyung's POV
"Up and at 'em, Elementals! You've got work to do!" Illume announced in our rooms, earning groans from both Jungkook and I as we turned away from the voice. Damn it. It's too early for this. Jungkook nuzzled himself closer to me, burying his head in the crook of my neck.
However, Illume's voice never disappeared until we were finally getting up. This is stupid. I hate his voice now. Jungkook groaned, sitting up and running a hand through his messy bed hair. "What time is it?" He asked groggily, voice deeper than usual and thick with sleep. Good question. What time was it?
I glanced outside, seeing the stars still visible and the darkness of night encasing the whole palace. It isn't even sunrise yet? "Probably five," I yawned, covering my mouth while doing so. "Don't even ask why I have no clue. Let's just get ready." He frowned, looking at me.
"I want coffee."
"I'll get you coffee after we shower, come on," I said, getting up from my bed and throwing my hands into the air. Stretching feels so good in the morning. He followed behind me, the two of us heading down the spiral staircase, managing not to fall on our faces this early in the morning.
"Who showers first?" He asked from the bottom of the stairs. One hand was on the railing and the other was holding my shirt down. Right, he only slept in my shirt. I couldn't help but smirk at the sight before me. Despite just getting up, not even showering or getting ready, he looked absolutely irresistible.
"Hm," I hummed, leaning against the bathroom door frame, "how about we shower together?" His eyes widened, cheeks burning red. My smirk grew at the sight. Fuck, he's breathtaking. "Together? But... but.." I pushed the bathroom door open some more, pointing inside the room.
"Come on, Cupcake. We don't have all day." He blushed an even deeper shade of red, one hand still pulling my shirt down to cover himself as he walked towards the bathroom. I shut the door after him, turning on the water and picking him up to place him on the counter. His big doe eyes met mine.
"Shy?" He nodded. "Don't be, cupcake. You're absolutely stunning." His cheeks were still tinted red, a shy smile placing itself onto his face. I checked the water, humming as it began to warm up. "Arms up, baby." He did so without question, letting me pull my shirt off his body.
"Good boy. God, you're beautiful," I whispered against his neck, kissing the soft flesh while I carefully removed my boxers. "Come on." He got off the counter, going in first, still covering himself when I walked in behind him. My cupcake is shy.
"Move those hands of yours, baby. I want to see you, all of you." His gaze didn't meet mine, but he followed the order, carefully removing his hands. I smiled, pulling him close to me, pressing our chests together. "I'm not going to try anything, okay? Don't worry. Let's shower."
There was a sigh that left his lips, probably one of relief, his eyes meeting mine. He nodded, grabbing the shampoo from behind me and pouring some into his hands. I expected that to be for him, but when he ran his shampoo covered fingers through my hair, I couldn't help but smile.
Our shower didn't take too long, both of us emerging from the steam-filled bathroom about ten minutes later. I tossed a towel at it, watching as he caught it and wrapped it around his waist. I did the same, heading into my closet to grab an outfit.
I'm feeling the all black today.
Nevertheless, when we were done getting ready, we headed to the dining hall to grab some breakfast- and as promised, some coffee for Jungkook. The conversation yesterday with the Gods still lingered in my head. What were they hiding from us?
Don't they trust us by now? Even after accomplishing everything they threw at us?
It's infuriating. We had to trust them that they weren't sending us into some death trap, where we stood absolutely no chance, yet they don't trust us enough to tell us about Ozagi and why he has some sort of significance? They should be able to tell us all of this, without the worry about what we'll do with the information.
"Taehyung?" Jungkook asked, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Yes, Cupcake?" I asked in return, kissing his forehead. "What were you thinking about?" Damn, he sees right through me, like I'm transparent or something. "Honestly? I'm thinking about the conversations we had with the Gods yesterday."
He hummed, taking a sip of his coffee and looking at me. "Going to talk to Soros?" I wanted to, yes, but something deep inside of me wanted Jungkook to come along. I hadn't received the okay from Soros though, so could I? Should I?
"Possibly, but there's something more important to ask him before all of this Ozagi stuff," I said, my mind swirling around the thought of Jungkook tagging along. Maybe I should ask him first. "You know how to get to him, so go ahead. We still have a good hour or so before we need to be back on earth."
I smiled, kissing his lips and taking a few steps back. "I'll see you in a bit, Cupcake. Try not to have too much fun without me," I teased, reciting the words in my mind and feeling my being teleport to Soros' palace. It was silent when I got there- too silent. Where was he?
There was a feeling, one I had never felt when I came here. It felt... eerie. Was this what everyone else felt around Soros? Why was I suddenly feeling it now? I glanced at the necklace around my neck, watching as the black rose lit up a bit, glowing in the darkness.
Where was Soros?
I kept quiet, walking through his palace, checking a few rooms to find nothing but darkness. He had to be here, but where? When I hit his throne room, I felt this sudden feeling of vulnerability, something I had never felt before. I gulped, pushing myself to enter.
No matter what you feel, it's still Soros. You know how Soros is, you know the real Soros.
He won't hurt you.
I took a step forward, freezing abruptly when I saw a tall figure facing away from me, darkness surrounding it. Soros? There was power around him, enough to make me feel small and unwanted.
But if that's Soros, then something's wrong. He's never like this.
I pushed myself forward. I have to know what's going on. "Leave, Kim." His voice was deeper than usual, harsher, and emotionless than I had ever heard it. I furrowed my eyebrows, stopping my movements but not obeying. No. I'm not leaving.
"I refuse," I said, arms at my side as I held my ground. This isn't the Soros I know. He didn't turn to face me, but his magic grew closer to me. "I said leave, Taehyung." The way my name rolled off his tongue sent shivers down my spine, fear running through my body.
No. Don't cower.
"I said no, Soros." He turned, eyes darker than ever before and burning with hatred. I gulped again, staring into them. They made me feel vulnerable like darkness typically would. Was this what others felt around him? "You're terrified. Leave!" This isn't what he wants. He wants someone to finally say no, they're not scared.
Even in this stage, he wants someone to not be scared.
I shook my head, shaking away the feelings I felt. This is Soros. This has always been Soros, whether he looks creepier than usual or not, he's Soros. "I'm not scared. Not of you." I could see the faint little glint of shock, his eyes narrowing too soon after.
Darkness was sent right at me, ice and water forming a thick barrier around me, shielding me from every angle. Even my darkness magic formed a barrier, tendrils blocking the attack. Soros practically growled, sending even more magic my way.
Yet my barrier never fell. The water never disappeared, the ice never cracked, and the darkness never faded. It stood its ground and protected me from Soros. I shook my head, holding my charms from the necklace in my hand right over my heart.
"This isn't you, Soros!" I shouted over the crashing of magic power, his movements coming to a stop. "This isn't the Soros I know! This isn't the Soros I love!" I shouted, throwing my hand into the air with my magics swirling around it.
"The Soros I know wouldn't tell me to leave! He wouldn't try to hurt me!" His magic was slowly coming to a stop, dark eyes burning into my own. "This isn't you, Dad!" He stopped, hands falling to his sides, his eyes changing color from that deep dark black to brown. Soros?
"I'm sorry," He whispered, falling to his knees. My magic disappeared, my legs pushing me forward as I ran towards him. "What happened? That wasn't like you," I asked, using my wings to fly up to his eye level. He looked at me, flashing a sad smile that only broke my heart.
"Illume. He's forbidding me from helping you out." My world stopped, my heartbeat heard in my ears. No. This can't be. No. No! I'm not letting it happen! "He can't do that! I won't let him!" I shouted, feeling my emotions surge through me. I was angry and I was sad, hurt, and confused. Why? Why would he do this?
"Taehyung you can't do-" I shook my head, backing away from Soros, feet planting themselves on the ground. The palace actually began to rumble, my power doubling up. My emotions. My magic is affected by my emotions. The stronger my emotions are the stronger my magic power.
"I won't let him!" I roared, darkness circling me, ice and water joining the mix. Soros stood up, eyes wide as he stared down at me. "Taehyung! You can't stop Illume! Don't do this!" I shook my head, my power just growing by the second. "I won't let him take you away from me! He has no fucking right to take you away!"
"You did nothing wrong!" I roared, feeling the palace shake and tremble with the magic power I held within me. Soros backed away, eyes wide as he looked around his palace, seeing the walls shake. "Taehyung you have to stop this! You can't go against Illume!"
I'll do whatever it takes to prove to Illume that he has no right. Soros is my happiness. Soros is my parent, the one I can truly call my father. He has no fucking right to take him away from me! Just because Soros wants to tell us the truth!
"Watch me!" I roared, reciting the words and leaving the palace. I was in the main entrance of Illume's castle when I returned, the walls and floors shaking as my power hit it. My eyes were changing, so was my body. I was turning into ice, one arm changing from flesh to frozen water. The other arm was covered with darkness.
"Illume!" I roared, letting my magic swirl around me, my eyes narrowed as Soros teleported into the palace. "Taehyung! Stop this! You won't stand a chance against him!" He warned. His voice was laced with panic. I shook my head, anger bubbling within me. I'm tired of Illume trying to control us, all of us.
He may be the leader, but he has no right to take a god who means no harm away from us- away from me. Soros has protected me more than Illume has. "I won't let him take you away from me, Soros! He needs to learn that he won't always get away with whatever he wants!" I roared, watching as Jungkook ran into the room with the other Elementals.
The gods followed behind them, eyes wide. Even Illume was shocked, mouth falling open as he stared at me. The palace was rumbling and Soros even looked scared. I won't let Illume get away with this. Soros is my God. He protected me, told me the truth.
He cares about my safety while Illume keeps hiding away the things that put our lives at risk. And he has the fucking audacity to forbid the one God who tries to tell us the reality of our situation? How fucking dare he! We trusted him! We trusted them with our lives and he can't trust us?!
"Taehyung, no!" Soros shouted, my eyes changing to pitch black, darkness consuming me along with my ice and water magic. "I'm done playing games with you!" I roared, pointing my finger directly at Illume as my wings sprouted once more.
"I challenge you, Illume!"

Uh oh.
Is Taehyung right to get mad at the fact that Illume is keeping secrets from the seven? Or was it wrong of him to snap? You've seen how Taehyung acts around Soros, and how much he loves him as a God.
Will they really fight, or will someone else jump in to stop it?
I purple you 💜
