ten: proposition
That's it. I was dead.
Shit.
I couldn't feel my feet, my knees, my anything. I was frozen in place, the horrible feeling of shock and disbelief coursing through my veins.
Jeremy wouldn't tell on me, would he? I mean, sure, I treated him like shit because he could be too damn annoying at times, but he said he liked me, right? And if he liked me enough, he wouldn't do anything to take my happiness away from me.
I sure as hell hoped he wouldn't.
His smirk was creeping the fuck out of me, damn it. "Silence means yes," he sang, that evil glint in his eyes unwavering.
"You don't know anything," I tried to sound as menacing as possible but failed to do so; I sounded weak and scared, like a little bunny rabbit trapped in a corner that was going to be eaten by a snake.
"But I do know that your parents aren't going to like it very much when they find out what you've been doing behind their backs all this time," Jeremy smiled devilishly, taking a step closer and trapping me against the lockers.
"You wouldn't dare," I said through gritted teeth and looked up at him disdainfully, my hands balling up into a fist.
"Try me," he said as he looked down on me condescendingly. Jeremy was towering over me, finally closing the space between us, and I could feel his hot breath fanning over my face, making me shiver.
I should kick him in the balls right now, or else I'll get more and more harassed by this stupid brat!
I took a deep breath and slowly spread my legs apart, picturing my knee connecting with his groin. I didn't care if I got detention because of kicking him in the balls, I wasn't going to let myself be sexually harassed by this creep! I knew how to protect myself and that's what I was going to do.
"Go out with me, Alexa," he whispered, and I immediately understood what he meant. If I wanted him to shut up, going on stupid dates with him would be the solution. But could I do it? Could I leave Claire for this idiot to save myself, to save our relationship from doom?
"No way in hell, douchebag," I muttered under my breath.
Jeremy smiled cruelly. "And what, you think they're going to accept this crazy lesbian relationship, just like that?" He snapped his fingers repeatedly, as if to emphasize his threat. "No, Alexa, I don't think so," he continued. "That's why—"
"Stay away from me, Jeremy," I threatened, shoving him by the shoulders hard and throwing daggers at his direction. I wasn't going to be late to class because of him. This conversation's over. "And stay away from parents, you asshat, or I'll really kick you in the balls so hard, you won't be able to have children."
And with that, I turned on my heel and made my way to class. As I walked through the half-empty hallways, I heard his voice in the distance yell, "Think about my proposition, Alexa, if you know what's good for you!"
