Part 7
I know we're focusing on the past, but I've lived in fear for so long that paranoia is regular. Reoccurring nightmares about your slightly strange girlfriend isn't exactly comforting. Lately I'd been talking with my friend Grace, and Isa sort of... changed. She's been controlling, a little scary even. There's the chance that she might have been threatening Grace, telling her to stay away from me. Anyway, it was the cold month of December, that she changed.
I was trying to be causal, introducing Isa to Grace. I really hoped that they wouldn't be hostile toward each other. At first they seemed fine, but when I went around the corner, Isa began talking in a hushed whisper, trying to sound threatening towards Grace. She immediately snapped back into place when I came back, though.
At night, I cannot sleep because I am so disturbed by what I saw in the realm of my dreams. Nothing seems to help, and all I can feel is pain in my chest. I hear it over and over again... "You did this to me..." "This is what it feels like to be broken..." Thriteen.... Thirteen times, throbbing, searing pain. I can't stop crying... it's just too painful. I finally look up to see her-- Isa. She swings her weapon forward, screaming, "DIE!" ... She's... she's killed me.
I wake up, and realize that this time, the sheets weren't wrapped around my chest. Why do I have these dreams? My mind is trying to tell me something, but I didn't know what. I am driving myself insane, with all this subconcience madness. My best guess is she's a hazard to my health... if I am telling myself this, then the most logical thing to do is to leave.
