Aftermath

"Go take a bath, Jiminie. Clean yourself up and give yourself time to think ok. I'll be downstairs." Hobi was quiet, helping his small friend off the bed and into the bathroom before leaving him alone to figure things out. He made his way down to the kitchen, staring around for something to do to get his mind off things for the brief amount of time he had left before his world collapsed around him. Finding nothing, he made his way to the backyard and the hammock he had strung up between two trees. He got comfy, swinging it gently with one foot while staring off into the woods behind their house. It was so peaceful out here. There were so many nights before he and Jimin found each other again where this was his only peace. He wondered if, before long, this would once again be the spot he came to in order to find a place where he could relax. He knew he shouldn't have let himself use Jimin in such a way, but the smaller boy just had an effervescence to him that brought Hobi's smile back. He was going to miss that more than anything. Their nights where they did nothing but cuddle and watch movies, Jimins cat curling up between them, purring loudly. Days much like earlier, where they would play hooky from their responsibilities and showed each other their longing for one another. He was preparing himself for the loneliness to follow.

Jimin, on the other hand, was huddled in his hot bath. Mindlessly swishing his hand through the bubbles, he had added as a way to make himself smile. Hobi always took care of him after their sexual escapades. He quickly made sure Jimin had a warm bath, often adding bubbles or a bath bomb, letting Jimin relax while he would throw the messy sheets into the laundry and put fresh ones on the bed. He had been shocked when their friendship turned into more. He hadn't been looking for a sexual partner, not thinking anyone could live up to Namjoon or Jungkook. Hobi had surprised him that fateful night. The two watched movies, enjoying a bottle of wine after dinner. Evidently, their tolerance was lower than thought, or maybe they shouldn't have opened that second bottle, who knows, but when Hobi leaned over, kissing Jimin's lips, he couldn't help but respond. It hadn't led straight to sex; they meant too much to each other to move that quickly, but it did happen, and every time was as amazing as the first. He didn't want to lose that. He didn't want to lose someone who had quickly become his best friend, maybe not on the same level Tae had been, but he knew his life wouldn't be the same without Hobi. At the same time, he missed Namjoon and Jungkook more than he realized. It wasn't until the day they walked into the shelter, and he saw them again, that he knew how badly he missed them. Jimin honestly didn't know what to do. He knew he and Hobi needed to have a serious talk, but he had no clue after that.

It wasn't until the water cooled around him that he finally got out, drying off and throwing on one of Hobi's hoodies over his boxers, padding through the house until he spotted Hobi out in the hammock. He joined him, resting himself close against Hobi, warming the other man up from where the cold had started to seep into his body. "I'm sorry, hyung."

"There's nothing to be sorry for, Jiminie." Hobi played with Jimins damp hair. "I mean, it wasn't the best time for that to happen, but I was expecting you to want to be with them again."

"I don't want to leave you, though either. You've come to mean so much to me that I don't want to lose you or what we have." He buried his face in Hobi's neck. "But I can't help but wonder about them too."

"I know. Maybe it's time we talk to them, Jimin. See where their minds are at on this." He suggested. Hobi had an inkling how the other two men would feel, and he couldn't blame them for wanting Jimin back either, but would it be the best thing for Jimin? To go back to two men who had stayed together, grown together, in the six years they had all been apart?

"I think you're right, hyung. But we don't have to do that now, do we?" Jimin was quiet. He knew he would have to face all this at some point, but he didn't want it to be now. He wasn't ready for any change to happen.

Hobi sighed, "No, Jiminie, it doesn't have to be now, but it should be soon. You can't do this to yourself for long. I don't want you to do this to either of us for long." He placed a kiss on Jimins forehead. "You'll always have me, though, no matter your decision. I will always be there for you."
