'I opened my eyes to a world
that I don't understand.
everyone suddenly cares for me.
they wanna know who I am,
where I came from,
and what I want?
I don't understand.
overwhelmed and confused.
they welcome me here,
without a single thought.
showing me compassion.
giving me something to eat, sleep, and more.
for a while it felt great.
to not have those
empty whispers in my mind.
and for a while I felt normal.
that's when all the voices come back.
way louder than before.
screams erupt from my throat.
they're yelling that
this is not real.
don't fall for their pretty lies.
I cupped my hands
over my head.
please let it end.
I felt warm arms around me.
the person tells me,
they're worried for me.
deep inside I second guess it.
as I start to cry in their arms.
marks that cover my body
start to bleed
and bleed.
I hear voices calling for me.
telling me to stay wake.
but than
darkness takes over my vision.
I opened my eyes
to my lost ones,
who all who have died.
they tell me welcome home.
and know I can finally feel alive.
being one with
the voices in my head.
