an upside down staircase in the clouds
that stretches across one side of the world around me
has rows of dark grays and light in between.
on the side across is one long row of clouds,
extending from behind to in front of me,
feeling so close yet so far,
on the ground yet in the sky,
a white mountain
and a gray staircase
i've yet to climb.
